Hope nobody minds but I sent a request to Bittrex asking them to remove the warning from SLR. We have surpassed their requirements and time allotted.
Good idea.

How about building a multi pool like Blackcoin's after PoS transition?
It will help both miners and stake holder.
The miners mine most profitable coin and exchange it for SLR. It will place continuous buy order and support price level.
It also utilize current scrypt ASIC machine which is owned by current solar miner.
It defeats the purpose of SLR. The way people should get it is through feed in grants. But you know people, someone will probably go right ahead and build a multipool anyway. I agree to your point. I love the way SLR granted to generators. That's why I've stick to this coin since January. However, to promote adoption of Solarcoin in both Photovoltaic industry and Crypto World, maintaining certain price level is crucial. It might be around 1$. I think. When it comes to PoS, there won't be huge dump like in PoW. But minted interests have a tendency to become sell orders. I've noticed that a lot of PoS coins shrinking with lack of buy support. We'd better building dedicated multi pool before PoS transition. I think that is not option for pure PoS coin. Must have. You make a good point sylph93. A pool similar to wafflepool, but with SLR as a base coin is a great idea. I would mine such a pool. Acquisition of SLR through grants alone would kill the coin before it ever gained popularity. SLR needs to stay on exchanges. I don't know enough about multipools to have an informed opinion of what the pros/cons would be for SolarCoin. But if somebody wants to research it and think about it and write something up for the team to consider, please do so. It's not urgent but it might be an idea to consider for down the road. I used middle coin and wafflepool since last year very good pools/ideas another reason why bitcoin has staid higher $ and most alts have crashed since alts where mined and sold for bitcoin. But really this is not needed as all you have to do is use middlecoin/wafflepool and just buy solarcoins with the bitcoin profits like i do. I also use pbmining/btc-arbs and buy Solarcoins with my bitcoin profits every Day/Sunday see my signature bellow.

Thanks. We may use Peercoin but there would need to be some modifications such as keeping tx comments and 1 minute block times which are nice features SLR has which PPC doesn't. I have also asked the dev for his opinion on Blackcoin's codebase, so that's one we're considering. Great stuff!

SLR was one of my first coins to mine as well, I think it may have been the very first but cannot say for sure. It was pretty crazy trying to figure out all this mining stuff at that time:-)
If memory serves, I think I mined SLR with my first 3 GPUs.....all 290x cards, for somewhere around 3-4 months straight.....never took the foot off the pedal during those months. I think I ended up with somewhere around 80k from those 3 little cards. Mined a little here and there since, but most that have been added since then were purchased when I had some BTC to spare.
Am hoping to increase mine and my mom's SLR holdings another 200K or so....we will see.
Very Cool you also got your mom involved

January 24, 2014. It was a cold night in central New Brunswick (though not as cold as it used to be when I was a kid...). I had spent the day reading everything I could find on the internet about SolarCoin. I read a CoinDesk article the night before as I was reading my Twitter feed in my pajamas and decided I needed to check this coin out. After deciding I definitely could be excited about something like this, I then forced my head into the confusing and utterly frustrating world of solo-mining and pool mining and all that jazz, desperately trying to figure it out. I finally managed to get solo mining working on my laptop right before bed. When I woke up the next morning, my poor little laptop was straining from the heat but I solved a block!!! Yes, dammit, I did. I was so excited, looking back it really is pretty funny how excited I actually was. It was Block 25848. I wonder if that's my lucky number? Great story i set my moms computer up for solo moning and by the time i looked up at the screen she had found a block. After that it took half a day for her next block

Solar was moving up nicely but it looks like the miners jumped in and dumped on the bid. Please get this block reduction done asap TIA

it sure is hard to buy coins for 800 satoshis when they were just 300 satoshis 2 days ago.
Think about when they are $1

Some one has 400,540 KH/s pointed at us

If solarcoins start seing 100% gains day by day when the block reward to pos/1 is completed we are going to attract a lot of outsiders. Something solarcoin has not been able to do yet. let the pump begin.
