Thanks for everyone's patience. We've released the first batch of native mobile code on GitHub: https://github.com/HadronCloud/HadronApp

We'll continue adding to the repository as our code components pass internal security reviews.

Thanks to everyone for the overwhelming support and interest in the visionary sale.

To ensure maximum security, we are in the process of performing an independent 3rd party security audit of our contract code. Once that is complete, we'll announce the visionary sale dates via email.

Interesting.  Thanks for the info

Thanks, AshCoins. We'll be sending out a quantum update to the email list this week if you want to stay informed, some big news was just announced.

Hahaha couldn't agree more on this, but I don't think it is. If you look on the bottom of the loanback page that some of the team members are associated with you'll see the Hadron logo. So this seriously substantiates their legitimacy claim.

Thanks, overttherainbow. As mentioned, we've posted footer links on both of our existing company sites so that people can verify everything. We'll put this in the main post with screenshots to make it easy to find for new readers.

This seems like something special, Fate seems well spoken and very informed. I have never seen any new project respond to all the skeptics in such a manner.

If it is bull**** it's the best I have ever smelled.

I will be keeping an eye on this for the ICO and signed up for your email.

Thanks, BranNutz, we appreciate your support.

please reserve me if you need tagalog/filipino translation

Hi Mongkie, we have a few people who have listed interest but will be making a decision soon. If you can PM me your past experience, that would be helpful.

@f4tal1ty are you going to open a bounty thread for social and signature campaigns and translations?

Hey buddynuno, that is a good question.  At this time we are keeping it as one thread until we have a bounty team finalized, but we'll update here and on the email list if that changes.

Can't imagine the people behind the Hadron Collider would be thrilled about the name of this project.

Hi AshCoins, the term "hadron" dates back to 1962 and refers to "stout" composite particles composed of subatomic quarks held together by the strong nuclear force.

Hadron Cloud is named in reference to the use of these particles, electrons, and their spin to define quantum bits in quantum computers.

On a side note, we have the highest respect for the LHC team and consider it one of the crowning achievements of modern human civilization.

In a historical note, our CEO's father's PhD advisor, physics legend George Uhlenbeck, discovered electron spin, which is fundamental to quantum computing today.

This is for sure a project to follow closely. How does the economy of the token work, as long as there will be people sharing resources new tokens will be created?

Hi mvillar, thanks for your question.

Tokens are primarily minted by participating in the proof of stake validator system. Network users who pass the Symmetric Audited Network Performance tests (detailed in our whitepaper) receive a small amount of Hadron tokens as mere availability provides utility to the network, but more substantial earnings are expected to be received by selling services and apps to other users (i.e. earned by receiving coins from other users, not from inflationary minting/mining). Note that developing Hadron Applets requires no formal coding skills.

By earning and spending coins instead of relying mostly on minting/mining, Hadron increases the velocity of money through our network; substantial economic benefits can be derived by enabling user income streams independent of inflationary minting or mining.

Your stake also bonds your services and increases the probability of receiving customers, which means you can simultaneously mint and earn through your services and apps sold.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔺ANN⠀HADRON⠀Cloud: Tesla⠀Google⠀Hyperloop⠀One⠀adv, Stanford⠀Berkeley⠀team🔺 on: September 07, 2017, 10:05:34 PM
Hmmmm....VERY interesting concept.  Will be watching.

HOWEVER, I will say that it doesn't quite pass the sniff test:

1.) Dream team devs (solid proof?)
2.) Lots of newbie accounts asking "questions" (yes I know how it works)
3.) Its vaporware at this point

Remember folks, usernames are bought and sold.

I will add.....no way in HELL would anyone in their right mind use someone else's WiFi network for their data.  That is just ASKING to be hacked.  Encrypted or not.

If I am 100% wrong, then this is THE ICO to get into.  How can we lose with a team like that?

Please don't take my skepticism for FUD, just trying to help newbies (seems to be alot these days with BTC prices)

Hi w0mp, we appreciate you taking the time to post.

For the dev team, the Hadron logo and link appears at the bottom of both of the websites for our existing businesses and will remain there indefinitely. I'm not sure how much more bulletproof it gets than that. There are also LinkedIn profiles for the founders with over two hundred contacts each, and many of the contacts are from their past work experience. Your question is a good one since this info was buried pages deep and we'll try to do a better job of making it easy to find on the first post.

Newbie questions aren't really something we can control. The only theories I can think of is that we intentionally don't bump our thread, so only enthusiastic new users willing to wade pages deep can find us. We also announced at the beginning of the long weekend and perhaps full members were not browsing as much. Either way, please don't hold this one against us.

Regarding vaporware, we agree this is a legitimate concern for nearly all projects, and we are releasing a substantial stash of our native mobile code and contract code on GitHub in the coming weeks as they exit security and internal reviews. This is noted on the first post (which, admittedly, is rather long), and we look forward to your continued involvement once we open the code repository.

For Wi-Fi security, we are not allowing people to connect openly to a provider's hotspot. They connect via the Hadron app, and the connection between them is encrypted so that the Hadron provider is unable to view the sent data. Furthermore, the Hadron architects have already anticipated attack vectors along this line and connections can be further protected using the Hadron Encryption Proxy/Relay provider service described in the whitepaper; even if the Hadron provider is a hacker, the customer's data will still be encrypted long after it leaves the hacker's hands. In reality, a Hadron Encryption Proxy/Relay connection on Hadron should be far more secure than any normal connection you can find, including at your home (Wi-Fi router firmware, for example, has been shown to be hackable for nearly every manufacturer; Google for "wifi brands hacked").

Encryption is the technology that makes Internet commerce possible. Banks rely on it, businesses rely on it, and all cryptocurrencies rely on it. If it couldn't be trusted, Bitcoin would have collapsed long ago. I think nearly everyone here agrees that modern encryption, properly implemented, is one of the few things we can count on, at least until high-powered quantum computers are available (see our whitepaper, p9).

Our original post is less than a week old, but we are profoundly appreciative of the feedback we've already received from the community. As we've said before, the community is what makes cryptocurrencies work.

Can we get more info about the devs? Who are they?

Hi KRT96, thanks for your question. Please check out the team by visiting https://hadron.cloud, scrolling down a bit and clicking on the "TEAM" button on the menu at the top. If you like what you see, consider joining the email list using the form on the page.

Hello f4tal1ty and Hadron co.,

I completely understand your approach to the token sale and I know you are making the best decision for everyone involved. Practical solutions for individual hardcaps are truly far and few between, as many of the options disrupt the fluidity of participating or go against the ethos of cryptocurrencies in general. That said, if you come up with a way to implement individual hardcaps in way which achieves the criteria necessary, then please do share.

In regards the Patron Rank: is it only available during the presale? If not, is the multiplier of a different value at each stage of the token sale? This certainly will incentivise people to hodl and circulate the coins within the Hadron ecosystem.

For coins that are sold on the exchanges, do you think they will be purchased by the Hadron team and injected back into the stream of Hadron?

Hi Overttherainbow, thanks for your faith in the team. You are right that our goal is to make this as fair and open as possible as the long-term support of the community is really what makes crypto possible. Some of the big brains here have an idea for secured individual hard caps but the idea is highly complex, our engineering time is finite and we want to invest the resources in our cloud platform and not necessarily in limited-use ICO systems.

If the visionary goes as well as it looks to be, we may be able to test out the ideas, but I'll just say they have never been done before for caps and one should never run a truckload of money through a brand-new crypto system. Bitcoin, for example, did not invent a brand new hashing algorithm; it takes many years for something that fundamental to be tested sufficiently. If the cap technology seems promising, we can explore it further down the road, but it will be a long road.

Curious if fixed pricing per eth for example
Or moving prices

And because I know people are going to ask and I wanna be first! Erc20?  Cheesy

(First questions serious, second is for fun)

Hello Mrbates (from Downton Abbey?)  Yes, but with bonuses for the visionary/pre sale, and yes!

I want reserve RUSSIAN translation Whitepaper and ANN..

Hi Termion, we'll be in touch!

Hey dev, in regards to the list of questions that were sent out in the mailing list. How do you want us to respond?

Do we respond here, through a reply to that email, or will there be google docs form that we can fill up?

Hi soulful100, response via email would be ideal, thank you for asking.

It would also be really inviting if there was no minimum for the presale. I would suggest an individual hardcap for the presale ICO but I suppose that's how a lot of start-ups get big funding...

Hi again, overttherainbow, I spoke to the team about this and we are considering all feedback for the presale. If there is a minimum, it certainly won't be as sky-high as some we've seen. That being said, since it is a presale, we do need to limit the administrative load so that we can keep building and also prepare for the main crowdsale. The limit will be higher than the main crowdsale, but it should be accessible to many.

Individual hardcaps are interesting, but the problem is that current implementations are either easy to defeat (e.g. address limits/pre-registration -> submit multiple addresses) or burdensome to the buyer and against the crypto ethos. A successful pre-ICO is in everyone's interests as it will allow us to dramatically increase our outward-facing efforts and is a way to reward the early visionaries like yourselves.

We're keeping an open mind on this as crypto would be nothing without this community, but practical solutions are far and few between.

Instead of a hard cap or some prohibition from selling for x months, our approach is the Patron rank for coins purchased during the crowdsales to encourage a crowdfunder to hodl a stake (and sell his or her services in the cloud to others) versus dumping. If they want to sell, they certainly can, but the Patron rank is adjusted to make hodling a sweeter outcome.

A lot of interesting advisors on board, would follow closely.

Welcome, hansen.ng! We'll be announcing more information via our email list shortly.

Any updates on when the Slack channel will become available again or when a public telegram channel will be available (current one seems to be for announcements only, right)?

Is there somewhere I can contribute my ethereum to? Or does this not even have an ICO yet?

Hi MercuryProtocol, we appreciate your interest! That is actually a very important question.

The only valid address for the ICO will be posted on https://hadron.cloud

Any other addresses you see online for Hadron are fake.

If you would like to stay informed, please join the mailing list (see sig) and we will keep you up-to-date about pre-ICO and ICO details. You won't need to wait very long. Thanks.

This looks like a promising idea and project.  Could you provide us with Linkedin profiles for the team?

Thanks!

Hi MT123, we're generally not big users of LinkedIn, but some of our team have profiles: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cliffs/ , https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelhchu/ and https://www.linkedin.com/in/evan-szu/ , additionally, we have added footer links to Hadron on both of our websites. I'll update as I collect more profiles; some people are set to in-network-only due to the overwhelming recruiter spam on LinkedIn.

Hi i want to reserve the filipino translation my portfolio has been sent via pm.
Thank you, arwin100, we've received it!

wow this is good project but where is supply and anything else  Huh

Hi indo1, thanks for your thoughts. The supply and other details will be announced very soon, please join the mailing list and you will hear from us shortly about the pre-ICO and ICO.

Can you detail more about products and tools with release timeline. Like you must be doing something like Storj for decentralized storage. And further things in which case providers will be paid in token or dollars?

When those things will come as market offering?

We run large facilities of decentralized storage, mining etc. We would love to support your network.

Also, i think you are US based and how are you planning to handle ICO situation with SEC?

Hi Sikka, thanks for reaching out and expressing interest in supporting our network.

If you have time, please take a look at the whitepaper detailing storage audits and some of the technology we use. As the whitepaper was reaching unwieldy lengths, we will release more technical papers detailing the system requirements and implementation of the three shared resource types (along with future resources and the App Shop) in the future.

Pertaining to your server facilities, initial test targets will be Linux x64 kernels with binaries tested on Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS and RHEL/CentOS 7, along with Windows 10 (x64, non-S); in terms of non-server resources, MacOS 10.12+ is supported, along with iOS 10.1+, Android 6+, and OpenWRT. That will cover the majority of the server and home/workstation/HPC markets, and people can of course build from source for other *nix operating systems.

All network transactions are conducted in HADRON coins, which you can certainly convert to fiat if needed after selling your resources and earning. The underlying concept behind Hadron, however, is to reduce the need to cash out by making other complimentary resources available for purchase, including 3rd party apps. Cashing out exerts downward pressure on coin prices, it wastes user time and attention, it creates potential security breaches during the cash transfer, and it costs the user transaction fees. The more we can circulate the currency inside Hadron, the more everyone benefits.

We've provided an estimated roadmap in the whitepaper, but how fast it is built depends on market conditions, the rate of adoption, user feedback, and other factors beyond our control. We intentionally posted late on a weekend and, so far, the response has been astounding, especially on the email list. Within reason (see the The Mythical Man-Month, or herding cats), the more resources we can utilize, the faster we get there, especially if we can parallelize development to a higher degree. Fortunately, our team is highly experienced and can scale out quickly. As for the US, our team is working on it, and we will have more information on that soon. There are options available but many are compromises.

Seems like a good project, waiting for further details about what products will come where network support people can earn these tokens?

Hi fonship, thanks for your post. Can you elaborate on your question of products for network support people? We do anticipate that the first adopters of Hadron on servers and routers will be tech-savvy individuals or professionals like yourself, and we look forward to your feedback.

look promising project dev, could you reserve italian translation, whitepaper and thread ,thanks!

Thanks davide72, thank you for that as Ludovica, our all-star, was too busy to work through the white paper. We will be in touch.

Any thoughts on Pre-ICO?

Hi Kryotoknightk, a Pre-ICO is in our roadmap. We've had many people join the email list already, perhaps you are one of them, but if not, I would start there, thanks.

Hadron looks pretty amazing.

I see you already have a German page for Hadron. - If there is any other German translation or moderation work you need, let me know. I am a native speaker.

Thanks Kryptowerk, you are correct that we have Germans and Belgians on the team, but we are also running at 100% capacity so we may need your help with the white paper. Thanks for posting and we will be in touch.

If the ICO is launched, how will the token be distributed?

What cryptocurrency will be used to purchase token?

How long will the ICO take?

Will there be Escrow service?

What's the minimum of token one can purchase?

Hi Toyo87, those are good questions. Initial distribution will be via an ERC20 token, and we'll be accepting bitcoin and ether. The ICO dates will be announced soon; please join the mailing list if you haven't already. We have communicated with a top escrow provider but, given the recent multi-sig hacks, we will need to balance maximum security with escrow desires. It doesn't help anyone if the developer account is hacked via some new vulnerability and the project never gets built.

The minimum purchase will be as low as humanly possible for the main ICO (less than .001 bitcoin) as the entire point of Hadron.Cloud is to unite the community and be accessible to the entire world. Hadron will push that limit as low as is feasible, limited only by incremental transaction and accounting costs.

The small purchases have a limited impact on the total crowdsale, but we want as many people to be involved in the decentralized sharing revolution as possible. The more people that have HADRON coins, the more providers on the network can earn, and everyone benefits.

There seems to be a huge amount of interest in this and I'm guessing your product will benefit from mass adoption.

In lieu of this, I think an individual hardcap for the ICO and/or presale will substantiate the value of your token and help to cull the worries of those who are participating in all manner of ICOs this September.

(Me!)

Thanks, overtherainbow, we have been humbled by the thoughtful and positive responses so far. We will definitely take your suggestion under consideration as the scale may need to be adjusted.

Looks interesting, and one of the biggest ico's I have seen.

Would you guys be interested in a bounty manager? Pm me if interested.

Hi aTriz, thanks for your thoughts, and we are actively looking for a bounty manager, but it may be several days until we have a decision. Yahoo has been in contact with us and we are working out the details.

Thanks for the response, good luck with Yahoo, he is especially good at managing signature campaigns

Thanks, aTriz, that is very generous of you and we will definitely keep you in mind as nothing is set in stone yet.

Huh, the Hadron cloud logo has appeared at the bottom of Fanpop and Loanback, guess that helps to settle a bit of skepticism

Thank you for your post and observations, soulful100. We have Status-F and Athreos to thank for pointing that out to us.

Yes, I must thank you for spending your time on the previous post. Majority of the posts like mine are getting deleted as fast as they are posted. This project can be true of cause, who knows, but you certainly understand (being in crypto since 2011) that most of your potential investors here are Skeptics, with capital S. You will definitely have my serious interest once online profiles of the team members you have mentioned are updated with at least some information about this project. Keep us updated on those, once confirmations are pouring in, this thread would go over the roof. Until then, it's just a long post with white paper. No offence.

Thanks again, Status-F, those are very good points, and sometimes it's good to look at things with a healthy dose of skepticism. The Hadron logos have already been placed live on both sites (scroll to the footer). We'll have more info online this weekend.

We have deleted zero posts and actually regret making it a self-moderated thread, but at this point there has been such a positive response that we don't want to lock the post and start over. Suffice to say that we'd only delete spam or threats/personal attacks.

You've done us a great service by pointing out where we need to step it up and we appreciate it. It would have been easier to just hit the back button.

Also, we've awarded you a bounty for the title character length limit, nice catch on that.

This introduction is very good. You can see everything you want to know. It's simple and clear. But, where is this project, China's team?

Hi Adsamy, this project is in the United States, and we have team members in Germany, France, Italy, China, Russia, Vietnam, South Korea, Mexico, and India, among others. Thanks for reading and we look forward to seeing you again.

Hi aTriz, thanks for your thoughts, and we are actively looking for a bounty manager, but it may be several days until we have a decision. Yahoo has been in contact with us and we are working out the details.

Whoa after reading the information you provided i would say that i am really impressed by the project. What will be the token supply for the project?

Hi studio1one, thanks for sharing, the token supply is being finalized but we will update the email list and thread as soon as that information is available.

Hi,

A few questions and thoughts for the Hadron Cloud team:

  • I do not mean this in a bad way, but the project team, advisors, and scope make this project almost unbelievable. It definitely seems to be a "dream team", but I spent the last 30 minutes trying to verify the details provided about the team members involvement with little luck. Would any of the team members consider making a social media post to confirm their involvement? For the sake of fairness to the team and readers, I will mention that I did a search using the wayback machine, which shows that the fanpop website linked to the Hadron Cloud project as of 11/19/2017.
  • The slack link in the announcement post is a login link rather than an invite link making it impossible to join the slack channel at the moment.
  • Are you considering offering a presale? If so, would it be geared only towards larger investors (i.e. minimum donation requirements) or investors of any size?
  • Are you considering a whitelist and/or individual hard caps for the token sale?

Thanks for your time, and I apologize for my skepticism. I signed up for the mailing list and look forward to hearing more.

Hi Athreos, I think those are definitely valid questions.

We have worked hard to assemble the best team possible, but, more importantly, this is not a team that was thrown together for some big raise. The core management team has worked together for over 10 years now. Cliff and CJ have known and worked with Rob for years. Some of our other advisors we have known for over a decade. This is not our first rodeo. There are other strong teams out there, but one of our best assets is the team culture, history and chemistry that we have that no mercenary team can match.

We are adding links in the footers of Fanpop and LoanBack and they should be up in the next few hours. We didn't want to add massive links earlier as Hadron was still in stealth mode.

Thank you for the slack channel information, that is being fixed and in fact we are awarding a bounty to the person who first alerted it to us.

As for a presale, it is in our roadmap but it would depend on interest levels, what our advisors recommend and what our CEO decides.

Watching this coin, might even participate in the ICO.

Thanks, CE! We would love to have you join us. Please check out the mailing list if you haven't already!

I first read the title as hardon and was like another sex coin lol.

Read the whitepaper and it looks interesting though and also #following.

Ahem, no this coin is quite serious and in fact is designed to elevate the global playing field. That being said, you are not the first person to make that connection :O Thanks for joining us!

Interesting project with a lot of potential. May I ask when's the estimated pre-sale start date and price per token?

The estimated date is going to be announced very soon. Sorry, I know that is not especially specific, but we are working hard to make sure it's the most fair event possible.

I am following this!  This seems to have potential!  Keep up the hard work!  Love the idea!!  Going to read your whitepaper now.

Thanks, SquidConqueror! We do appreciate people reading the whitepaper as the ideas are best expressed in it. It is on the long side, but we think you will find what we have written interesting.

That would sound very good, but there is always has to be my favorite turn-offs:

1.     "•August 17, 2017, 11:24:47 PM - f4tal1ty - password changed".  Is this to increase security, to make sure no one else has your password and so on.
2.     There is another thing, I see absolutely nothing in your previous posts about programming. How can you develop a revolutionary new coin without even one crypto-development related post?
3.     That's a lot of huge names you have there. My problem is, if you google every name in your list with "Hadron", there is zero results. With all of them. How can we be sure those guys aren't as much surprised they are on your team as we all here are?

And of cause I know this is self-moderated topic - so no answers to inconvenient questions.

Thanks to everyone who has shared their thoughts, we'll be addressing them shortly.

Hi Status-F,

First of all, thank you for reading through our post. I think your questions are valid and we will address them transparently.

As you can see, we have not deleted your inconvenient post, and in fact have quoted it in its entirety.

I (f4tal1ty) joined the Hadron team to help with our international presence and to be a project manager. My email is fate [at] hadron.cloud if you would like to contact me directly. I did change my stupidly weak old password in preparation for Hadron, and in fact I recommend everyone change their password frequently. We do live in the crypto world, after all. We wanted a single point of contact for Hadron and so it needed to be as secure as possible.

For software expertise, I am not a great coder. That's why we have people from the world's best engineering schools handing software development. Please see our team listing.

Even our management team has a large percentage of computer science degree holders. Our CEO, Cliff Szu, is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in computer science, Evan is from Brown, with dual degrees in computer science and chemistry, and has a Ph.D. from Stanford. Michael is from University of California at Berkeley with a degree in computer science from the EECS program and a legendary advisor, and CJ is from SCU with a degree in mathematics, a focus on crypto, and with an advisor who also advised crypto pioneer RSA.

No team is perfect, and we at Hadron are definitely far from perfect, but one thing is for sure: our technical chops are second to none. So don't worry, Fate is not going to be writing the code Smiley

Our advisors are from Google, Apple, Tesla, Cal Tech, Northwestern University, Stanford, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, CEIBS, and INSEAD. The listing on our website and white paper is only partial; we have additional advisors, some of whom will blow your mind, who we will announce as time goes on.

The reason we have these amazing advisors working with us is that we have a history of working extremely hard on the right things in the right way, we always try to do good (Hadron is the ultimate expression of that desire), and we always treat our supporters and backers like family. Every one of them has earned a positive return, and I'm not sure how many companies can claim that. We literally paid them before we paid ourselves.

If you would like, I can arrange a Skype call with our CEO, and he can answer any of your questions. We are adding Hadron logos to the bottom of both sites as we didn't anticipate it would be a point of debate, but it's a valid concern and frankly we couldn't add the logos while we were in stealth mode.

Finally, the reason Hadron doesn't appear with our names in search is that we have been developing it in stealth mode for the last several months. Unfortunately, the reality in the crypto space is that ideas are too easily stolen and replicated, and we couldn't take the chance early on. In fact, that is why our white paper is only in English at the moment; even sending the paper unencrypted was forbidden in the company. Now that we are out of stealth, we can add references to Hadron more freely, and you will see Hadron links in our online profiles in the next few days.

Hopefully, this addresses your questions. You're clearly a smart person and I think answering these questions is good for the entire company as we really didn't anticipate some of these and are learning. We've been humbled by the positive response and tough questions. Cheers.
