Surely when this opens up BTC will see a decent jump in price... (One can dream)  Cheesy
Seems like it has been the opposite. Price currently at 245, used to be above 260 a couple days ago. I'm not that big of a trader and I don't know much about trading but it seems like this has been the only news near the price fall. Is this the direct cause?
I think around the nasdaq news happened, someone stole like 15 million dollars worth of bitcoin or something.. Not sure what the whole story though :p

Sideways action is so boring. I think personally think this may be a bull year for bitcoin in general... Even though it hasnt been so far :p

I saw that, i got enrolled to next week, so i need to post 40 posts? or just 20 posts for this week?

Anyway, sorry for last week incompletion Undecided
i'll try my best to always fulfill the min. posts requirment Cheesy

If you can reach 20 posts today, you will be paid for this week (but you will get banned for spamming, probably). If you don't reach 20 posts today, it will be rolled over to next week and if you reach 20 posts for today+next week, you will be paid.
Thank you for good answer.

Am i in the campaign now? Also, can you update my status to member if i am? Because i am now a member instead of a jr member

How come you stopped posting on this thread?
775  Economy / Speculation / Re: Interesting Article on: October 10, 2014, 02:49:46 AM

What do you mean "Opinions?" The article is clearly biased and cherry-picked a particularly ignorant/dishonest academic to interview.

Price is always debatable, of course, but anyone still calling bitcoin a "scam" can no longer be forgiven as simply uneducated. Bitcoin has been around long enough, and received enough exposure not only in the media, but also in academic circles and government hearings and regulatory bodies that it is no longer acceptable in educated society to retain the knee-jerk "it's a scam" reaction. At this point, that belies either a profound stupidity, or some disingenuous motivation.

tldr; that article is trash, and belongs in 2011.

Oh, when i said "Opinions?" i was asking for the communities opinions. But its funny, now that you mention it, it seems like this article was written in 2011, and they forgot to publish it until now, and they just added in the current price trend at the top lol.
776  Economy / Speculation / Re: Interesting Article on: October 10, 2014, 02:45:24 AM
BS

What kind of professor would call bitcoin a "scam?" Even if you didn't think it would be successful, what is the scam part? What, Satoshi invented it to scam people? Its an idiotic statement of epic proportions. A scam assumes something is A) controlled by someone B) premeditated and C) can be executed by someone.

Bitcoin is none of these things. Its quite the opposite of all 3 of these things.

If one day bitcoin is worth $0, it was never a scam.

Yeah, i thought what he was saying was pretty interesting, but when i read that, it pretty much discredited everything else he said. Because only someone who has no idea what they are talking about, would call BTC a scam.

Anyone?
779  Economy / Speculation / For the bulls on: October 05, 2014, 04:15:51 PM
I have a question for the bulls... I am not falling, or any other "troll" account. But i have a few points for the bulls and i was wondering if you could counter them...

Points
- The winklevoss etf will actually be shot down
- just kidding im not doing that

Serious points
- Miners dumping thousands of BTC a day
- A lot of people say, that the only reason BTC hit 1k+ was because of the willy bot. Not to mention there was actually proof of the willy bot on mt gox.
prior to the willy bot, btc wasnt over 250. What if right now, the dust is settling and BTC is returning to what it should naturally be. Which means right now, BTC is currently overpriced
- Merchants convert BTC to USD instantly

And i think it is funny. I was like everyone on this forum a few months ago. I would look at a fallllling thread and laugh, not only at the grammatical errors, but also his crazy predictions. However, he and all the other "trolls" here, have been correct. Maybe they didnt get the time frames right, but they sure did get the prices right. and they can come back, and warn us some more, but we probably wont listen. But the price keeps falllling...
