Official Announcement!!! Blockpool is to be listed on COSS.io next week!!! Sidechain creation is complete and tested successfully. The nodes come up automatically as expected and chain height increases as expected. Currently we can deploy a sidechain with any setting we would like within predetermined limits. We are cleaning up the code and integrating it into the BiT Platform. Next steps are the delegate rotation, Genesis Masterchain Smart Contract and Genesis Sidechain Smart Contracts. |

if you want to buy or sell blockpool already listed on cryptopia exchange, not a major exchange but cryptopia is good exchange too Yes it is we need to increase volume we need to get this to as many exchange as possible, I have a stake on both Coss and Kucoin Shares and I love to see this being traded there if it possible, they can get it there being a unique coin I'm sure some holders had an account on both exchange. I second to vote this one, if it listed at KuCoin it will gain a good volume, beside KuCoin and COSS, they could try Binance and Bit-Z. I submitted the application to KuCoin today and submitted the application to COSS a while back and have spoken to Rune but haven't heard too much back from him. Binance I think is still a little while off. Their process for listing is a blind "bidding" kind of method. My understanding is the listing token puts in their bid and Binance comes back asking you to either double or triple it. Costs to list on exchanges have quite honestly become absurdly expensive ranging from 9 BTC for a 6 month listing + another 9 BTC for dev fees to 50BTC+. If we paid to list on one of these exchanges before we have a solid revenue stream it would really hinder our ability to develop a quality product. We are currently talking with some really heavy hitters within music and other industries. Bjork was just the start. One thing that has been interesting for me to watch is how different crypto in general is from everyday business models and adapting the two to work together from a methodology/ideological standpoint is a challenge that will need constant adaptation and evolution. |

Blockpool will probably work like ow ARK did when it first started. It was released with a price at a very cheap like 0.03$ but rise up quickly. I don't think it'll be that cheap. It'll come out at $0.20 cheapest  $0.20 would be too much. The start may be small giving the chance for those late investors that realized how great the project will be once its going to be used by companies trying to connect their product for the adoption. How is the total supply of BPL? $ARK hit exchanges and came out with a price of $0.03, with a circulating supply of around 100 million. The market cap of $ARK was around $3 million, so $3 million/100 million $ARK coins = $0.03. ARK only raised around $1 million at the time, so as soon as it hit exchanges it was worth 3x the amount. This was in March 2017 when the total market cap of crypto was around $25,000,000,000. $BPL cost at ICO was around $0.07 ($0.085 if you don't count the teams share). So if we are basing it off how ARK performed when it first hit an exchange, then my estimate is pretty close, $0.07 x 3 = $0.21. But, you have to keep in mind that theres a lot more money flowing in crypto compared to back in March 2017. I don't expect for $BPL to come out for less than $0.18  I'd say $.18-.21 is a good starting price. Knowing that alts are pretty bear atm we will be coming into a rough market, if we weren't I'd place the starting price at around $.5-.75 We have some major things coming down the pipeline in various industries that blockchain companies have yet to be able to breach. In some cases I will be directly consulting these companies as well. Kevin B has been kicking some serious ass. Couple that with the release of BiT V1 coming up very soon here, I'd see the price go to around $.40-.50. About 25,146,000 BPL total are in circulation, I'd say about 65-75% of those are currently locked up in delegates or voted, once we hit that vote I'd expect that to drop to around 50-65% locked up after delegates take profit. We still have ~ 90 delegate spaces to fill so it's also likely a lot of BPL that was on the exchange will be then locked up for forging. When all is said and done, I think there might be 5,000,000 BPL left on exchanges. Look out for news on Thursday-Friday! I have also contacted livecoin for listing. If anyone would like to tweet to them feel free  Loco i expecting many dead nodes after some are dumping their bpl. there is no reward after the dump to bother with maintenance node. my suggestion is to reward node 1bpl per transaction with 2% or 3% interest on the token forever. this would make blockpool the first to have block reward and token interest. this way people would compete crazy to have some node up to collecting that 1bpl per transaction. at 1bpl per block plus 2% or 3% percent it is still lower than ark or lisk. it still have time so it wouldn't mess thing up later or risk a sea of red delegate nodes. take my word for it and i saw most people suggesting this on slack. I fully expect some nodes to dump, the distribution needs to be spread out more anyway. Ultimately I think we will pickup more delegates than we will lose, when we hit exchanges. We also still have our genesis nodes running in the background as relay nodes so anyone who does dump will most likely be turned into a dead relay node. |

We have noticed, that not every delegate has fully updated their configuration file. As a precaution to ensure proper stability please update your config file and all peer ports to 9030 within the config and reboot your node.

Port Change and Pool Reward Fix Was Successful
Hello everybody,
Today at 2017/10/16 08:40:15 Block 17000390181415725079 the port change trigger was successfully put into place. If you are running a delegate that did not update or somehow got stuck during the change we ask you either pull in the new code or rebuild your DB and resync as you are now losing out on forging rewards.
If you check your logs and notice you are stuck on a block, you will need to resync your chain by running dropdb "DB Name" createdb "DB Name" and restarting your node. Wait until the chain syncs and you should be good to go from there.
If you didn't update your node in time you will need to make a copy of your current config and pull in the new code. You must then update the config file with your DB info and secret. Restart the BPL-Node and wait for the chain to sync.
Those running the Blockpool wallet will need to update the mainnet information by clicking the gear at the top right of the screen and choosing manage network. Mainnet should be your only option. Replace 4001 with 9030 and 4002 with 9031. Restart your wallet and you will be good to go.
We are putting out updated wallets with the new port information shortly.

So far every time this has been the case. I don't know what OS you are using so these are the Windows instructions to fix this. Uninstall the app. Make sure you saved your secret. Remove the folder from your program files In the windows search bar type %appdata% which will show the roaming directory Delete the Blockpool wallet from there as well. Go to https://blockpool.io/BPL_Wallet.html and download the updated wallet. Reimport your secret and you should be good to go. |

ATTENTION DELEGATESWe have a mandatory update which will change the operating ports from 4001 and 4002 to 9030 and 9031. We have already updated all genesis delegates with the new code and to prevent any missed blocks we urge you to update your code before block 260,000, which is when the port switch will automatically trigger! We highly suggest you watch your delegate during this time. We don't expect any problems however it's always best to be cautious. We have created an update script to make this update easy for you. Simply clone the script into your home folder, cd into the directory run chmod +x to make it executable and the execute ./Blockpool Node Update Script.sh The process should take at most a few seconds. To provide a quick update about port changes.
We have successfully tested the automated port change on both devnet and testnet. When we push the update to github sometime in the next few days the delegates will have 1 week to upgrade their nodes and configure the config.main.json configuration file with your delegate information. The port switch will be automatic, however it is always recommended to keep an eye on your delegate just in case. I will provide the block number that the switch will be triggered on on Wednesday.

I used to have as well so I did submit my BPL address and jsut yesterday locohammerhead said he'd send it. Today those tokens were gone but its not on my wallet either. I don't know where it goes. How do I know it was sent, may I know the link to the explorer of BPL? I don't know why are they doing this, they are withholding our stakes which we deserve it's been two months of waiting for their bounty, keeps telling us to wait I am not getting a positive response this is injustice and dishonesty on their part . Hello Everybody,
I looked into the issues people are experiencing and I found that my VM had lost internet connection. Distribution did take place on the 22nd but because the VM I am using for it had lost connection to the internet and never gained it back, those transactions were canceled by the network. I am rerunning distribution for those who didn't receive their tokens right now.

Announcement for Delegates!
We will be changing from port 4000 and 4001 to ports 9030 and 9031 to enable better exchange compatibility. We are looking to do this at on Friday if dev testing goes smoothly.
There are several ways you can update your config file.
You can copy paste the updated peers list and the ports into your config file and reboot your node or you can make a copy of your config file, pull the updated config file from our repo and add in your DB info and secret into the new config.
We want to ensure that all delegates are aware of the change so I am making these announcements in multiple channels. I will make sure everybody is kept up to date with the latest information pre-change.. |
