AngelusWebDesign, you sound like an old timer now.  Best of luck!
282  Bitcoin / Mining / Who is quitting mining due to block halving? on: November 28, 2012, 11:48:47 PM
Just curious who is going to quit running their mining rigs.  Also tell us what kind of rig you run.
283  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [ANNOUNCE] picocoin and libccoin -- C-based bitcoin library and client on: November 28, 2012, 08:42:39 PM
cbitcoinlib!

Sorta like Yahoo! but cbitcoinlib!

Sounds exciting when I read it.  Tongue

Search engines will also find it when people type "c bitcoin library"

Anything new on further refunds?  Is Matt going to pay back his loan for the ellet?
Matt has claimed that once he liquidates his holding in Bitcoin Magazine (he has shares in the Bittalk company), he will repay his debt to us.

Was that the original agreement with Matt?
The original contract was I lend him 1500$ and he repays 3000$ personally within a year. He was going to stand for the backing of the loan and not ellet, at the time that seemed more secure...
Before all of this Pirate bullshit,
That was in June, so he still has some time to pay it back, he has until the 20th of March to pay back the loan, but both of us has agreed that he should pay it back as soon as possible.
//DeaDTerra

Do we have a repoman of some sort to expedite this process?
285  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2012-11-27 What Has Changed - Fred Wilson on: November 28, 2012, 02:33:45 AM
We're not going to start seeing articles in the Press board every time there's an article with the word "bitcoin" in the comments now, are we?

Only if a high profile person comments.  But i get ur point.  Ill post in a different subboard nexttime.
286  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: libbitcoin on: November 28, 2012, 01:27:44 AM
Is libbitcoin going to die?  Ultraprune?  Receipts?  LevelDB?  Anything in the pipeline to keep up with bitcoind?
287  Economy / Securities / Re: [Investment fund] Gamma Bitcoin Fund [Closing] on: November 28, 2012, 12:10:49 AM
Anything new on further refunds?  Is Matt going to pay back his loan for the ellet?  What about everyone else's loans?

Scroll down to the comments section to see Fred's comments/thoughts on bitcoin.  (Not much but he agrees with people talking about bitcoin.)

289  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [ANNOUNCE] picocoin and libccoin -- C-based bitcoin library and client on: November 27, 2012, 09:36:49 PM
Do you think you could give a distinct (and cool) name for this library?  There are several now and it gets confusing.  For example:

libcoin - Gronager
libccoin - jgarzik
libbitcoin - genjix
cbitcoin - MathhewLM

How about GarzikBitcoinLib?
290  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Have you been waiting for Armory-Beta? Help me release it! on: November 26, 2012, 12:44:03 AM
Good decision on keeping the Satoshi client for networking.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The First San Diego Restaurant to Accept Bitcoin on: November 20, 2012, 05:34:34 PM
The thread title is a bit misleading. It looked like the announcement of a place that did accept bitcoins now.

Changed.  Nine people so far.  I am thinking maybe if we can get 20 people it would be great.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Pay for DDOS Protection with Bitcoin! BlackLotus on: November 18, 2012, 04:58:38 PM
Is this the announcement we were expecting yesterday? If it is, then welcome to the Wright-BFL club.  Grin

This is great news, Tony (or is it Steve?).
It's Tony, he does all the PR posting.  I gave him a good beat down over that pre-announcement thing.  Wink  BlackLotus is not what he was referring to, but it's also not anything on the scale of the WordPress news.

Announcing a beat down on a preannouncement may deserve a beat down.  Steve should beat down Tonys announcement on the beat down of steves preannouncement of the actual announcement.

Okay everyone, let's upgrade our WordPress sites!
294  Economy / Securities / Re: [Investment fund] Gamma Bitcoin Fund [Closing] on: November 14, 2012, 06:47:28 PM
I personally feel like a dice roll is a stupid idea tbh.

One could argue GLBSE is a stupid idea, tbh. Smiley
295  Economy / Securities / Re: Should Gamma Fund pay out its remaining holdings to investors? on: November 14, 2012, 06:32:53 PM
Satoshi dice max bet is 250.  Approx 400 bitcoins fully liquidated in the fund.  So maybe 2 bets of approx 200 each.
296  Economy / Securities / Re: [Investment fund] Gamma Bitcoin Fund [Closing] on: November 13, 2012, 09:01:25 PM
Sigh.  My monies...

I got an idea.  How about we put it all on Satoshi Dice.  Just one bet.  I'm in if everyone else is in.

I Googled pest control report and it definitely does not deserve a 10 month jail sentence.  Right now you can buy a box of gunpowder and bullets shipped by mail at Cabelas which can do the same thing with no paperwork required.

I also found this.  Craziness:

298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver's bio published on Daily Anarchist on: November 12, 2012, 05:25:58 AM
It is flabbergasting that this happened in California to a 20 year old.  No wonder he lives in Japan.

I too am flabbergasted that the country with the highest per capita incarceration rate on the planet would.... oh wait.. no I'm not.

Good point.

Not sure if you know this but the creator of Armory, etothepi, was able to raise over $4000 for this bitcoin client using rockethub.com.
