81  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Avalon Gen1 clone hardware - 16 complete "barebone" units available on: December 07, 2013, 12:38:48 PM
Do you have solder stencils for these boards?
Sorry, no. Different companies use different stencils so you should let them make the stencil they require.

So it looks like this auction is ended..?  Can you please tally the buyers here and PM the payment address.

Yes. Unit sold:

WinterParker 1@0.5
sebdude420    2@0.5
electronrancher 1@0.5

PMs are being sent now. 12 more units are available for purchase.

In hindsight you always know what would have been the better option.

Ask Avalon batch #1 owners about their ROI...

Yes, this is one way. You can also let a company do this if you send them the Altium files.

I started a new auction where single units are auctioned now.

85  Economy / Auctions / [Auction] Avalon Gen1 clone hardware - 16 complete "barebone" units available on: December 03, 2013, 12:58:51 PM
I'm auctioning Avalon clones, i.e. all parts necessary to build a total of 16 Avalon units (4 modules each), except for chips (ASICs) and the ATX power supply.

That includes:
  • Cases
  • Finished boards: Control Unit, PDU, Backplane
  • Hash Unit PCB (bare boards, components included)
  • Heatsink
  • TP-Link Router
  • Fans
  • Cables
  • Screws

These parts are from a project which was not finished. Parts have been built by forum member strombom. Everything is located in and shipped from Germany.

Pictures: http://imgur.com/a/7bxqz#3 (Not all parts listes above are shown there.)

Auction rules: The auction ends at 6th Dec. 2013 23:59:59 UTC. A bid placed in the last two hours before the auction ends will extend the deadline by two hours from the time the bid was placed. The winner of the auction must pay within 24 hours.

Starting bid is 0.5 BTC per unit.

Wasn't there a rather big donation to get scrypt support in cgminer in the first place?
You donated?
No. Why do you ask?

What's even funnier about this whole Bicknellski fail train is if he had ordered BFL chips, he'd actually have a working product.  LOL indeed. Bick is so full of fail, it's almost painful to watch... but not really.
Tell me/us more about "failing", please. The only posts in this thread I'm reading are yours because they are even funnier than the whole BFL story itself.

Parts are still available. PM me for a quote.

What are your experiences on how the October 400 GH/s units respond to temperature changes? Is lower generally better? Is there some kind of sweet-spot? Or does the temperature not matter as long as it's below critical (chips melting Wink )?
93  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: November 01, 2013, 11:12:50 AM
sudo cp /run/shm/.stat.log best.cnf [enter] --> I guess the second parameter should be /opt/bitfury/best.cnf? Otherwise I would copy the best.cnf to the home directory where it has no effect (I think?)

I have sufficient cooling. The supplied fans run at 12V and are directly pointed towards the unit / hcards.

Next, insert best card to 1 slot in each bank. Board with the worst performance in the last slots.
Wasn't this done right before shipping the unit? The cards have A1, A2, etc. written on them.
Furthermore, I received mixed revisions, i.e. cards with and without caps. The cards with caps are always in the 4th slot of each bus. Is it safe to move them to the 1st/2nd/3rd slot or will they (or the capacitors on them...) blow up?
95  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: October 31, 2013, 11:03:32 PM
I have a 400 GH/s unit here which is heavily underperforming (~ 200 GH/s): http://imgur.com/hI8qQsZ
Of course I put the cards into their slots according to what was written on them.
PSU is a Super Flower 1000W. Pool is BTC Guild with min. diff. 512

Looks like something is going wrong, as to my knowledge 400 GH/s units are tested before shipping. What can I do/try?
96  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1000 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: October 30, 2013, 11:17:59 AM
Your PSU should already have a fuse/OCP in it. (Otherwise trash it and get a new one).

I've put up our last gold master image on Mega.co.nz for download (HINT: this image contains the missing piece from our easter egg hunt )
Any other changes included? Wink

Damn. 40 amp fuses, i'm surprised that it is that high.
It's only 5V. That's 200W.

Punin is doing something on the shop site Smiley
H-board are removed. They must be pain in the ass for Niko...
On MBP site reels are for 15k$ delivered in January. So, prices at 2$/GH level are comming... Producing cost are the same so imagine what profit is on single chip now...
Imagine what risk bitfury took.
100  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty being manipulated? on: October 26, 2013, 03:19:35 PM
Estimating the next difficulty change right after a change has happened is very inacurate.
