If you were confident in the coin you put all your darks into, then you wouldn't still be here trying to get people to follow you.

How's everyone doing ? What is this dump? What does it mean? In the greater scheme of things... Has it happened as a mass hysteria & escape, or are there simply better things out there now? A handful of sharks destroying the price, and they cooperate with whales? What do they know that I don't know? How can I understand something like that earlier next time? What is the meaning of the price of a coin? Is it too late now to sell? Or a good moment to buy? Is DRK going to be completely worthless soon? Or overtake all the others? Where is the bottom - and when will it go back up? Where is top? What would be reasons for people to then suddenly start believing in DRK again, and buying back huge amounts? Why did I buy it in the first place? How can I pay what I intended to pay with it, if it is worth only half now? Why am I here? Yes, I need the money. Yes, I am interested in technology. Yes, I support the concept of anon currency. What is this dump? What does it mean? . Thanks for the advice on how to lose money

Monero pump coming soon on mintpal
edit - according to a certain IRC room..

As a merchant and a soon to be exchange operator Monero's bloat problems are massive issues. If it ever reaches mass adoption I will have to dedicate extra hardware and bandwidth for their blockchain or resort to using a centralized blockchain which defeats a lot of the advantages in my opinion.
The bloat is caused by dust transactions, recently a upgrade was made for pools to stop dust transactions. AKA problem is solved. Even then, Ring Signature anonymity is Much much better than coinjoin/masternode anonymity.. RC4

From richest address link we can see there so many drks owner by fewer people.(743 address have 85.77% drks), this maybe the restrict for DRK's grow road. http://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-darkcoin-addresses.htmlBalance Addresses % Addresses (Total) Coins $USD % Coins (Total) 0 - 0.0001 916 3.52% (100%) 0.2366 DRK 2.32 USD 0% (100%) 0.001 - 0.01 2525 9.71% (96.48%) 10.83 DRK 106.00 USD 0% (100%) 0.01 - 0.1 6482 24.93% (86.77%) 151.58 DRK 1,484 USD 0% (100%) 0.1 - 1 4170 16.04% (61.84%) 1,778 DRK 17,406 USD 0.04% (100%) 1 - 10 5329 20.5% (45.8%) 20,159 DRK 197,380 USD 0.46% (99.96%) 10 - 100 4223 16.24% (25.3%) 136,834 DRK 1,339,738 USD 3.1% (99.5%) 100 - 1,000 1558 5.99% (9.06%) 468,236 DRK 4,584,478 USD 10.62% (96.39%) 1,000 - 10,000 743 2.86% (3.07%) 1,308,136 DRK 12,807,919 USD 29.68% (85.77%) 10,000 - 100,000 52 0.2% (0.21%) 1,510,376 DRK 14,788,042 USD 34.27% (56.09%) 100,000 - 1,000,000 3 0.01% (0.01%) 961,658 DRK 9,415,556 USD 21.82% (21.82%) We are really just at the start of Darkcoin's future. I have to wait for DRK to grow from $10/coin until $300/coin before I will allow myself to sell some to pay for mining costs to date. Millions of DRK coins have now been traded since January. There are plenty of coins out there if you want to buy. So I guess the only thing stopping you from holding more than 1,000 DRK coins is you. If you want some help working out an investment strategy, there is a great book that was written a while ago now but it is still very relevant today. There is even a public domain copy you can download for free, if you can use Google. Not to mention that a lot of those address including the number 1 are exchange wallets. Hey you have 56k dark? Just wondering are you gonna run 56 masternodes?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I've been wanting to see this info for 'FYI' purposes and maybe I missed it before. Huge holder of DRK but I don't think I could run a MN by myself. (not yet at least.....) I'd rather see a stable DRK then be apart of the problem but... ...I'm sure some selfish and greedy unqualified individuals (bad actors) think they are the shit - ugh You know what I mean - fucking losers :-P (I do understand that the "patches" fix that kinda thing but.... LOL) again THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Oh - and to publicly state to the idiot that hit me on PM about me not setting up a MN now rather then later... I hold my coins for a stable system, rather then maybe be an issue. Piss off mate.... Thats good. Although having people run unstable masternodes also helps identify problems at an early stage, rather than later.

2-3 weeks is too long, yes that is true. But on the other side, one more failed fork is as good as dead coin. There is already enough Fudders out there. It is good, more time to pickup cheap DRK.
I actually said the same thing after the last try at hardforking. Im surprised, in a good way, that the price is so good right now If it hit a floor of 0.013 it would still be at a good price in my eyes, considering how people usually react to things like this. After this I have a feeling that even if the next try at hardforking isn't successful, if the problem is identified quick and they let everyone know they're fixing it then people may still hold. I think a big percentage of the holders in drk actually have the dev's back and realise that these things happen. That does surprise me though, given the nature of most crypto people.
|
|
|
So the fork failed? No wonder that the price went down. I wasn't there.
Wasn't nearly as bad as last time. Essentially all was working but to get the expected mini-forks pruned more promptly a link between votes and block hashes is needed. They're on the case right now - Evan's ETA 2 to 3 weeks, although it wouldn't surprise me if we see this put in place in a week's time. ETA 2 - 3 weeks? That's way too long IMO. Estimated time of arrival He has to leave enough time incase anything else happens. Not saying it will be before then but maybe.

Hi guys, as i have no experiance with linux and now i have time to learn i will try to educate myself and also setup a masternode on testnet. I hope i will find all my answer here and on darkcointalk. After doing all the stuff on testnet i hope i will be able to setup one on real net. Thanks for your future help :-)
Good stuff. http://webchat.freenode.net/in channel enter #darkcoin for the darkcoin room or #darkcoin-test for the testing room Chaeplins guide for a masternode on an Amazon ec2 server https://darkcointalk.org/threads/how-to-set-up-ec2-t1-micro-ubuntu-for-masternode-part-2-3.241/Google each step in the guide and you should get a basic understanding of whats going on No need to pay anyone to set one up unless you're stuck for time.

Welp, looks like another 2 weeks of up and down :/ Has nothing to do with the quality and future of the coin though. good luck devs
