Getting so much attention You watch this shit skyrocket once it returns, I have my buying finger ready

Don't need to worry. Evan is working on it...not even considering bailing. Just wish I had money for more DRKs.
Ditto, why do I have to be so damn poor! You'll look back at this in a year or so and get a tear in your eye about how far you've come since May 2014 I like looking at my old posts on another account from 2011 about struggling to buy more bitcoin

ENOUGH WITH ALL THIS MAKE YOUR OWN DIY MASTERNODE CRAP! Look where it has gotten us.
If this is going to work, then before masternode payments come back online there needs to be a hardened and official image release in windows and in linux for a masternode. Also any updates needs to be point and click official masternode updates!
It needs to be guaranteed that there are NOT ROUGE masternodes on old updates or bad setups working together to fork payments.
Rivals will still try and set up crappy masternodes to mess with the system It needs to kick bad masternodes

Up we go. I bought 100 just in time.

I like the legitimate medium paced incline rather than all the pump and dumps that bring the trolls. Theres no rush with the price, it's pretty guaranteed to rise at this point. Great work dev's!

From wiki: The aim of this mechanism is to make reliable payments to well-behaving masternodes. The alternative was to make the block payment to the last node which performed a DarkSend, however this would facilitate scripts in the nodes in which there would be a lot of bogus DarkSends just to increase one's chances to get the payment. The main concern here is that a pool (statistically speaking, there are no miners and only pools..) gets some kind of say on which masternodes will get the payment. How much say do they get? It's important to clarify this point. I was under the assumption it meant the system chooses masternodes that are up to date, online for a period of time and functioning well.

Over 50% of master nodes are hosted on Amazon. I think a lot of the folks are just familiar with renting EC2s via free signup. These are not robust enough to run MN in my opinion, hopefully they start moving out after becoming familiar with the set up. The VPS provider accepting DRK would be a good fit to run a few MNs. IMO they follow the guide to the letter. Maybe we have to provide a more universal guide to setup with other hosts. Darkcoin accepting Flokinet in Iceland is a good choice. You can find my affiliate link for them at http://darkproxy.is or http://darkproxy.euAlso remembered this list: http://www.exoticvps.com/Currently "Listing 680 exotic VPS hosts in 97 exotic locations throughout 8 regions. In total, there are 767 entries. ExoticVPS.com was most recently updated on 2014-05-25." ~ https://wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_offshore_financial_centres - https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Offshore_bankWhat would be the minimum requirements/specs of the server needed for a masternode?

Yeah might have to list some other providers that people should move to. I might move mine to a dedicated server.

Ok guys, I am excited for the hard fork and masternode payments. However, I am a bit worried about the security of my wallet on server. Wallet has nice strong password, I have only port 22 open to my IP, 9999 open, and 2FA setup for Amazon Web Services. Should I be ok?
I think so. Although I have no idea about clearing bash history so it doesn't store the wallet pw on it from when we ran "darkcoind masternode start 'mypassword"? Clear bash history with cd ~/ ln -sf /dev/null .bash_history
oooh linking it to /dev/null clears it. I had done that so I guess theres no need for my overuse of history -c thanks
