21  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Now I know why offline is very important with crypto wallet seeds on: October 15, 2022, 03:55:27 PM
There is indeed thing called keylogger, it can read what you type with your keyboard. And when it comes to crypto, it can done really big damage like stealing your recovery seeds, private keys and passwords.
In such case paper is safer option and writting down your seeds on it isn't bad option. But don't forget that paper is vulnerable material and it can be damaged with water or sunlight. Even if you will kepp that sheet of paper in drawer for a long time, it might be that later you won't be able to read what is written.
I believe this was how my wallet got compromised, this is a wallet that I have been using for years and all of a sudden funds were moved out, the only dangerous move I made with the wallet was typing its recovery seed into iancoleman website because I want to get its private key instead.
22  Other / Beginners & Help / Now I know why offline is very important with crypto wallet seeds on: September 30, 2022, 08:07:23 PM
It's better to be more friendly to your pen ✒️ when it comes to crypto wallets than your keyboard, I have never lost my funds from any wallet that I wrote down it's recovery seeds with my hand, it's always those that I type using a keyboard, or trying to import wallet into another wallet.

I am starting to feel like there is some kind of a tool or software that hackers use to find out recently typed in words or something, the moment you type your recovery seed while connect online makes your wallet weak, I am sticking with writing down with a pen and I think you should too.
23  Other / Beginners & Help / In future when crypto is everywhere how will we protect ourselves? on: September 29, 2022, 06:58:29 AM
In the future how will we keep ourselves safe? When crypto becomes general something and everyone owns coins and tokens and we all become our own banks don't you think this will have a bad effect? Criminals of the future will just kidnap you and ask you, recovery seed or your life, I just think about this now, I think you should too

It's always bank problem if anything happens to customers money, robbers don't rob homes anymore since they knew only few money can be get but banks became the main target.

I feel a bit safe here because many don't know what crypto is, I can start talking about crypto from morning till night and every one will look at me like I am losing my mind.

Just passing by....
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Eth alternative for RTX 3090 Ti ? on: September 29, 2022, 06:23:15 AM
Start mining the forks, years ago many talked shit about Bitcoin Cash and in bull market Bitcoin Cash surge very high, same thing can happen to Eth Pow or the ETH fair in next bull market, if ETH reach 10,000$ per coin these forks can be around 300$ or more.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What do you know about Goldshell on: September 29, 2022, 06:19:23 AM
I have the small doge miner, not  profitable but runs fine.
Which one do you have? Can you please share a picture?
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What do you know about Goldshell on: September 28, 2022, 06:44:40 PM
Anyone ever use one these sia coin miners? Gold shell make miners for LTC and Doge, even Sia and Kadena too, what do you think? How strong are Goldshell hardware?

27  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How strong are hardware wallets on: September 28, 2022, 06:36:23 PM
Hardware wallets are not built in such a way that they are hack proof, you need go keep your seed phrase safe just like when using a hot wallet, also be careful commenting to a virus infected PC, see the danger is still present.
28  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's in for crypto wallet companies? on: September 28, 2022, 06:34:34 PM
1. Some wallets are just here to contribute to the industry, and probably for the devs to have some development experience for their portfolios. (e.g. Electrum)
2. Some non-Bitcoin wallets have a built in swap feature where they route to DEXs, and they add a small fee on top of that. (e.g. MetaMask)
3. Some probably collect data.

Adding to this

4. Some wallets get their revenue from the number of downloads on Playstore/Appstore
5. Some wallets have advertisements and gain ad revenue from them
How is your last point valid? Can you use a crypto wallet that shows ads when you launch and try to make some transactions?
29  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HOW TO AVOID FAKE CRYPTOCURRENCY APPS on: September 26, 2022, 09:22:10 PM
There is a way around increasing the number of downloads for an app on Google playstore, erase this thinking out of your mind, the best way to avoid fake app is simply using the app official website.

I don't go to play store and search for app, instead I let the official website of the app to redirects browser to play store.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / To all 100x hunters out there on: September 06, 2022, 04:05:18 PM
75% of crypto investors don't understand that projects like Solana, Cardano, Doge, SAND, XRP, Avalanche did a 100x in this recently past bull run and it will never happen again, not even 20x I believe, those who have been in crypto space since 2017 will understand what im talking about, every four years a new adjustment is always made to Top 20 lists on Coinmarketcap, new breeds will take over.

Get rid of the old stuffs and hunt for the next 100x, not a financial advice but DYOR.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I successfully build my first rig on: September 02, 2022, 02:07:57 PM
Nice build OP, unlike I that killed two graphic cards when I tried building my first ever mining rig, I messed up and spent double money to get extra graphic cards again, ruined a motherboard too, enjoy your mining rig.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The best of RX vega on: August 31, 2022, 03:51:40 PM
Are Vega cards still available in the market today? I can't even find one in China right now, they have been sold out both new and used, only a old time miner can sell you a rc vega 56 right now, if I knew that they cards are good for Autolykos algo I wouldn't have sold mine.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SmartMinerPRO - AI GUI Multi crypto mining panel for CPU/GPU/ASIC/FPGA on: August 30, 2022, 09:47:50 AM
What's the current status with the full LHR unlock?

I use Phoenix with 2 old Vega 56 and 1 RX470, and I just ordered a 3060 Ti (finally almost MSRP + taxes) to replace one of the Vegas.

I really like Phoenix, on par with the best miners with Vega 56 and low development fees, I don't want to change the miner when I get the 3060 Ti. What are the best Nvidia drivers to use?

I see reports for NB, Nicehash miner, LOL miner, but not for Phoenix with Nvidia.

I have an RX vega 56 mining rig, what are you getting using Phoenix miner? I thought the best mining software for vega 56 and 64 is Teamred Miner, I am getting 48MH on my graphic cards what are you getting with Phoenix miner.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 390 Today on: August 29, 2022, 05:21:14 PM
Wait until winter and you can use it to help heat your house. That will help compensate for the high power usage.
This is why AMD cards are superior. Back when I was mining litecoin/zcash with my 280x/290s, I never turned on the radiator, my cards took care of my house heating.
Every graphic cards dispense heats when mining lol, stop making this look like only AMD gets the job done, even Asic miners are better too but I wouldn't burn electricity just to get warm if I can't afford to pay the bills.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for bad ass closed casing that can cool 3080 and 3070 on: August 28, 2022, 09:59:01 AM
here is a link for a good case.

https://minerdude.com/product/minerdude-x8ultra-plus/

but it is costly.

I have one with 8 3090's in it

works fine
This is a mining case, op asked for a gaming case that can also be used for mining.

This is going to be tough to come by, most gaming cases have only RGB fans in them and they aren't good for cooling when it comes to mining, you need something with enough holes around them and fans inside too, like this

Add extra cooling fans and the holes will serve as extra heat dissipation, this will also reduce dust, better than opening the case.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you thing about Terra team? on: August 28, 2022, 09:20:10 AM
They have a lot to learn, it seems the project is legit after all, Luna was one of those few projects I don't trust and after they failed I said to myself that yes I knew this will happen but I expected them to vanish but instead they are taking responsibility, it looks like I was wrong after all, they are willing to fix everything and get better, something I always look for in a team.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Chain on: August 27, 2022, 10:30:29 AM
Doge chain looks promising but we can't predict its outcome, I am going to risk some amount of money that I am ready to lose, if the developers are smart with this one it could be a very good success.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: #beam is future? What do you think. on: August 27, 2022, 09:27:50 AM
No coin owns the future, many projects will fail before another bull season gets here so do not use all your money to invest in one project, this is one of the reasons why diversification is the best investment strategy, even if you have to mine this BEAM make sure its not the only one, anything is possible.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about Moreno on: August 25, 2022, 12:32:34 PM
It's not the first time that the government want to deal with Monero but still yet they came out with no good result, if you are looking for the most secured privacy coin its monero, they can't handle monero the way they handled Tornado cash.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining OS (Nicehash) on: August 25, 2022, 06:53:27 AM
Yes Nicehash auto switch feature is incredible but there is a catch, Ethereum algorithm safe more electricity than others, if you have free electricity then no problem, if your rig switch to Ergo or Ravencoin you will be paying more on your electricity bill, I have a 1660 super that use 60watt on Ethash and 80watts on Ravencoin and SuperSero.
