calm guys.

it was a bad idea to dump on the open market but silvernxt is going to do right in the end...you will see.

NHZ will have a progressive and steady gain.

Appears that BCX's claim of a CN killer exploit is confirmed (allegedly)....

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789978.0

CZ or any of the devs keeping a close eye on this?

Edit: Or is this all just one big scam?

I'd like to support the network for v16 with a pretty heavy stake. Could someone PM me the link to v16?

The thing is a coin needs to have some advantages over Nxt to join SuperNET. I think only qora himself can name them.
But we don't know what qora thing about it.

I PMd him. I think he knows things we don't even surmise. We only know what qora showed us by now. I'm sure there are much more. If he likes the idea of joining the core of SuperNET and PM jl777 telling him about Qora they will be happy to collaborate.

I posted a vote a while ago:

http://qora.co.in/?q=%EF%BB%BFshould+qora+strive+to+be+part+of+btcd+supernet+core%3F&poll

Been back and forth but today is 60:40 YES.

I hope Qora responds positively to your PM...I've been trying to push supernet/qora collaboration as I agree with you, it could only be good for Qora.

I assume James would need to see originality of the source...this may be a good combo to have James review the code/pieces to confirm originality (apart from JLP).

Good you are pushing supernet and yes, do please contact James. Potential SN coins are being screened by a team. I sent you a PM based on my previous efforts. Good luck.

I guess it now depends on qora. We did what we could: we spoke with SuperNET team, voted, brought it to qora's attention. Now it's up to him to decide whether to participate or not. I believe his exceptional skills incarnated in Qora is what SuperNET team desperately needs and I have no doubts that if he wants to get Qora a part of SuperNET core it'll happen.

Well said. I respect whatever qora decides. Qora will be successful with or without SN IMO...just may bring a new userbase that may be good for all. Looking forward to trying the AE!

They pay 10% dividends to stakeholders and 688 nhz a day per node.

How do we get the 10% dividend? Does a funded wallet automatically get sent the 10% dividend?

Yes, 10% just shows up in your wallet.  Smiley

Would the community be willing to run 100+ privacyServer VPS?
P.S. we can certainly start with a smaller number like 10 and see how it handles the load.

Whatever is necessary. A lot of hosting companies offer a free trial. What are the minimum requirements (CPU, RAM) and how long do you need them (3 days, 2 weeks, 1 month)?
CPU is not so important, the bandwidth would probably be the most important and this is dependent on the number of nodes. it would be an indefinite need assuming it works. These nodes could also be sources for aged telepods and other handy things to have a community run set of servers that is not tied to any specific person

James

I can provide a VPS worth ~$100 month. Unsure how many privacyServer would be able to run on it but willing to load it up.
Thanks!
each privacy server needs a separate IP address, run BTCD daemon and NXT. Having a few other coin daemons would be nice too, but different privacyservers can run different coin daemons

Hey how soon do you want the Privacy servers up ? Can you provide a list of components required and i will whip up a puppet deployment.
I need to recode the new UDP routing, initially with leakage of IP address to the public privacyservers as that is much simpler. Then while that is being tested, I will test out the probabilistic routing. Concerned about the bandwidth required to converge to valid routes.

the current version is still using the TCP routing and not optimized for message synchronizing. I expect some releases from BTCDdev for a few items reasonably soon and I am coding away a much simpler low level routing today. having the 100+ public privacy servers will allow for a very solid core within the core.

you can try to make a build from https://github.com/jl777/btcd
I tried to make the instructions easy to follow

If you do run it, you need a valid jl777.conf file for it to do anything, but this is under active (dozens of commits per day) development so no guarantees about stability. If you do run it, plz just start it and stop it after it starts up. I will announce when there is a stable version for test deployment

Why not get some of these guys to do it? This is the value of NHZ...

http://explorer.nhzcrypto.org/?page=graphs&graph=nodes&offset=30d

Some small (with potential growth) incentive for supernet or BTCD interests would certainly convince those already running nodes to sign up.

Anyone running qora on a mac? How do you do it?

I am.  Just download the zip file, extract it and navigate to the contataining folder from the terminal.

Just enter "./run.sh" and hit Enter.

Note, I haven't been able to get the debug window to work.  It opens, but every command I enter returns back an invalid command response.  This is the only bug that I know of that isn't common with all clients.  Like others, I still need to delete the data and reload the chain and my seed. Sad

EDIT:  Also, be sure to close the application by the menu on the program and not from the Mac menubar.  This will help prevent some of the local db issues since the application can handle properly closing all file handles.

Cool, thanks rlh...will give it a try tonight.

Hey this is cool thanks eli.

Question: so I can run a node without transferring coins to my server....i.e. would this wallet still act as a node even though the wallet would have no weight?

small victory over the build process.
after almost 100 builds today, I finally got a small 3 node network talking to each other. Not really so impressive, but some small differences in the system libraries somehow created build problems. I have one server running ubuntu 13 and this never gave me troubles, but the other two with ubuntu 14 caused strange problems. After getting everything rebuilt, one server was happy and even though I think I got everything all the same, the third server is still having issues.

probably some mismatched system component I am using, but I took a shortcut for now and just copied the binary from the server that made a happy version

things are always slow when dealing with issues not in your own code.

So, it took a while but now I can finally start finding bugs in my own logic.

James

Great news James. Would be fantastic if you and the devs could pull off teleporting before the new year, having a steady and stable flow of teleporting bitcoins. Wow!
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 14, 2014, 07:48:08 AM
Suit yourself ostrich

And BTCD is just another crap useless gen1 coin that is pretending to be something else : "oh look it will be a mediator between nxt and alts in the superjoke network !"

mLOL

The BTCD wallet and NXT asset exchange are two of the most innovative things I have ever used.

Just because you missed the boat, don't understand them, don't have a clue what the Supernet is actually doing, and are probably a hired hand who makes chump-change and definitely doesn't know how to punctuate, you shouldn't knock a group of people who are pioneering crypto beyond its current limits; with plenty of code to prove it. It's clearly not beneath you to do so, but you probably couldn't find your floor if your life depended on it (though it's pretty clear to the rest of us where it is).

While you "blow wind," Supernet is already making acquisitions, including a large percentage of the "Fiver" of crypto and one of the best "Freelance" crypto sites on the net. There's new, verifiable news EVERYDAY, verified/legitimate escrow services involved in the giant amount raised, and I have a strong feeling your coins and assets aren't nearly as powerful, communicative, ballsy or profitable.

If you had any balls at all, you'd put your money where your mouth is and take James up on his generous bet offer. You likely can't afford to, however.

If you aren't a hired hand, you sadly didn't read far back enough through the GIANT tome of fully community-verified information readily available to even know what I am talking about.

Feel free to keep making a total fool of yourself. Wink

+1

Dear members,

You can all put sell walls and dump or whatever, but if you really want to see Qora grow and hit 100 Satoshi again and more, then it would be a wise thing to just HOLD I know everybody wants BTC and money, but we are just starting, the dev is really busy with development and soon there will be someone else who can do the marketing and communication. Knowing this and knowing that dev is very dedicated and brings a lot of new features, do your self and the community a favor and just HOLD.

Thank you
haha,if you want to 100 Satoshi, you should ask fucking guys not to do stupid vote again
OS+AE+join in Supernet,it is a big thing..

I appreciate your vision, could be a big thing.

But Well everybody is free to vote what they want. It would be more gentle if you respect other members, they are not fucking guys, maybe they fuck I don't know, but please be kind in this thread, we are building something big. Only supporting talk and ideas.

respect other members?sorry,I have give these stupid guys too much "respect"
their pride and stupid decision have hurt qora, but they did not reflect on their mistakes.
Wow,they will creat another stupid vote again..

1. I created the "stupid" vote regarding qora and the supernet. As such, I read your post as a personal attack. Maybe you don't come from a place where democracy is considered a way to make decisions so I forgive your insult. You talk of considering your mistakes, well now may be a time for that.

2. Your writing skills are very weak and your childish posts make this thread and qora appear idiotic. Please at least use a google translate tool to improve communicating your thoughts in english. You are embarrassing yourself.

SCAM AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

From your signature I can understand your pain...conflict of interest and all...but I certainly would not consider ATOMIC a scam.
