21  Other / Meta / Re: VPN Related problem to Bitcointalk Account Registration on: June 15, 2021, 09:56:27 PM
It's ridiculous, those VPN are really annoying but not all of them behave that way. The suggestion is that turn your IP address from that country to another it may work because I tried it and it worked for me. But if it continue the same way please delete such VPN and download new one use

Happy Birthday Theymos, on this I pray for you. May the Good Lord bless and increase you in wisdom. God Bless Theymos.
23  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal to Forum Academy Trainee on: June 13, 2021, 11:40:54 PM
I was once a newbie and posting images doesn't in any way lead to a ban. You just have to buy the copper membership if you can't wait to rank up. Besides, ranking up is fairly easy so your opinion that the barrier is too much is irrelevant.
I never ague with you but lemme ask you dude, when you were newbie then newbies are permitted to post link but now nothing like that, if newbies are now limited by forum mod what then your evidence that newbies can post picture? I don't talk by guess I post as a result of experience
24  Other / Meta / Re: How to delete an account from dashboard on: June 13, 2021, 11:15:58 PM
What I mean by that question is this; when first click on chrome, you locate a place of username and password right? Now when entered the place of username other account that are deflected as a result of VPN and they never got registered will come up and I don't need them because it has no use. How to remove those unwanted account to free up my dashboard
25  Other / Meta / How to delete an account from dashboard on: June 11, 2021, 03:34:07 PM
I click save password during registration of my account but I have an account I did same but unfortunately couldn't render successful because the VPN is associated to crime related activities and I still have such an account exist but useless. How can I remove those account that existed but useless because it can't reply or quote in any topic. Please I need your contributions.
26  Other / Meta / Re: Is it time to increase the Emojis ? on: June 11, 2021, 12:44:13 AM
Emoji has a wide use to any ecosystem as this help members of the communities to communicate effectively. This is one of the features that's most common to most social media platform. I urge the mod to give this topic favourable consideration.
27  Other / Meta / Re: Can moderators be asked to close threads of banned accounts? on: June 11, 2021, 12:07:31 AM
Recently, I have come across many topics that have long lost their relevance, but the OP did not close the topic itself, due to its ban, but the topic remained alive.
Can we complain to the moderators that the messages that come after the warning that the OP is banned are low-level messages? The topic is no longer relevant and the person who asked will not read the answers, but people, without reading it, just post the same thing.
Or is it possible to make a second solution to warn the moderators to close the topic themselves?

Examples of similar topics:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5339370.msg57070726#msg57070726

No point of lecturing the OP anymore, hopefully s/he learns a lesson or two from what message will appear on his/her homepage of the forum. Smiley

There was a warning about the pointlessness of continuing to teach the OP. But the topic is still relevant.

Another topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5324112.msg56574193#msg56574193

Since OP got banned for plagiarism ( ironic considering he started this thread) he won't be able to answer your questions, but most obvious reason is ignorance. Anyway, @nullius already explained this issue earlier in the thread and root of the word "plagiarism"

We turn some topics into mega threads ourselves.
Do you think that after five pages, someone will read the entire history of the branch? Therefore, they will write the same thing there.

If people know that their messages can be deleted, then it will be unprofitable for them to write platitudes.
The users account maybe ban but the topic may be useful. Because I believe mod don't ban an account with one action. The person might have done something that deserved that ban action outside the topic
28  Other / Meta / Re: How to hide Elon Musk topics? Reqest for userscript on: June 07, 2021, 09:31:51 PM
Things have gotten out of control. I wanted to read some topics and 90% of them are talking about Elon Musk directly or indirectly. Angry Angry Angry it is Bitcointalk not Elonmusk trolling.

Well, its the influence of Elon Musk which is causing the price movement in bitcoin. So at the present moment, unfortunately we cannot discuss about the price movement in bitcoin without taking Elon Musk in consideration.
You can stop reading the threads which have Elon Musk in the title, but then Elon Musk is everywhere even in the WO thread.  Angry
Elon Musk have not done any harm rather he is man that knows how to play his game and he was doing his things to the favour of his self. Elon musk never sponsored anyone to write any topic about him in the thread  but I will advise forum member to jump over any topic concerning him without any further replies to stop the pandemonium going in the forum just because of one single whale
elon Musk
29  Other / Meta / Re: Forum upgrade? on: June 07, 2021, 09:23:42 PM
I Hope this is the right board for this thread; otherwise please move it. I have used the search function, but did not find a fitting thread.

Are there any plans to upgrade this forum to the latest version? Maybe include a mobile friendly theme or offline support?

Just wondering.
I think the management or either the mod are experience personnel and if they find any use to upgrade the forum the they will certainly do so. Innovation don't just happen because the users demand for it no, but it will happen when the needs arise and those needs to the benefits of everyone.
30  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to get notified when I log in if someone quotes me in a thread? on: June 07, 2021, 12:20:17 PM
That seems like a lot of work.
It really isn't. I have been using it for a few months and it works great. You can just copy/paste someone else's application and edit the user id #. Use this for example. Make sure the link is also edited to include your user ID.

Set the first line to ignore your own user ID. You don't need the scrapper to send you notifications when you write your own name or quote one of your posts on the forum. The second line tells the scrapper to show the whole post in the notification. You can use "justlinks" if you want to see only links to where your were quoted/mentioned. The last line tells the scrapper to list the quotes from newest to oldest. It makes less sense to configure it to show oldest posts at the top, and force you to scroll down to the bottom to see the most recent mentions.

In so many other forum's software...
It's irrelevant what other forums do. This one doesn't whether we like it or not and it sure as hell wont be introduced now after so many years.
Yes I think those things are not put in place because before this forum is launched, Santosh and his team has already predicted the future of the forum right from then present. Believing the notion that the forum is manage by an experience people and maintain by high technical engineers.
31  Other / Meta / Re: A question about unsolicited PMs on: June 07, 2021, 12:13:38 PM
has anyone here ever got reported/banned for sending 'unsolicited' dm?
Yes.
Banning a users for sending unsolicited message seems not right to me because the users may have a pressing issues that needs to be address which the user may think it will get mod if send to the forum. And this users just feel the best is to PM someone. I think the mod needs to reconsider such users except being that the users is sending message that's against the forum use. For instance begging money or trying to convince someone of fakes goods.
32  Other / Meta / Re: What Would Be Your Reason to Leave Bitcointalk? on: June 06, 2021, 12:48:32 AM
I was introduced by friend to join this forum and that friend till date is still in forum and have not quit. He has made a lot of money and investment too through this forum. For this reason I make it promised to remain and not to quit for any reason.
33  Other / Meta / Re: Elon Musk threads are moved to Off-topic ? on: June 06, 2021, 12:37:13 AM
Ever since I got registered into this forum, I have read several topics talking about elon musk and this took me me extra time to browse to know more about him. After my research about elon musk I got to know for several topics carrying him is wrong because the forum is design for purpose of bitcoin and other altcoin and not wasting time reading what will not contribute to growth of the  forum and members ideology. I am not surprise to hear the topic is moved out to another platform.
