I checked out your website and saw that it was nicely ordered in groups from sports/casino/slots/dice. That is a nice feature, but what do you use to come up with the rating? What is your criteria based on? Its interesting how many sites I never realized exist.

We wanted to make the ratings based on people writing their own reviews, but it will take more time before we get enough on the site. So currently it is done on a qualitative approach form our team (who gamble quite a bit). If sites are scamming people or we see any reported problems we will adjust any ratings.

It's amazing how many sites are there that no body knows about. Satoshi Mines is the site that always impresses me, so many people play there but they do very little advertising anywhere that I know of.

As most of you are probably aware Betking will be divesting all bankroll investors on Dec 1, so we will need to put the investment into another site.

Any recommendations?
463  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io - NEW DESIGN! Most trusted and popular crowdfunded Bitcoin Dice site on: November 23, 2016, 06:11:18 AM
Hi

From the 1st of December BetKing will no longer be crowdfunded.

On the 1st all current investors will be divested and the BetKing bankroll will be funded by me.

The max bet will drop but will remain competitive at 30 Bitcoin.

The reason for this is that as some may know I have listed BetKing for sale.
The main concern from interested buyers is that BetKing would not provide a return on investment for them if they were bankrolling themselves due to lower max bet and investors not attracting players.
I'm going to bankroll myself to get better stats over the next 3-6 months to show what it would be like.

Would like to say thanks to everyone who has been invested in BetKing and welcome them to join the new investor slack channel I setup to discuss future projects. Pm me on betking chat if you want an invite.

It will be sad to see you go! You have run this site extremely well!

Hope you get the right price the site deserves!

Starting December 1 Crypto-Games is cutting investors shares from 80% down to 70%. However this may turn into a good news because they will be having more promotions and developments that invites more players.

Starting December 1 Betking will not accept investors for the meantime. Owner will use his own for the bankroll as he is observing how it goes. This is in relation to Betking's for sale status.

I think it is good really good news. My biggest fear is that a site runs away with everyone's money. Now that the bankroll Is getting bigger, this fear increases. However if they are taking more of a cut I feel that this will decrease the chances of the big scam happening.

Down approximately 2% this week. Largely due to another big hit on the Bitvest Investment.

On a USD basis (thanks to the rise of value in Bitcoin) the investments are at $4,290 (43% gain) from our initial $3,000 investment.

When I try to turn on 2fa, I dont get to scan that barcode. All I get is an empty white box. Anyone else having this issue?

There is a code just write the code down for as your back up, manually input code into the authenticator app.

Yes, yes, I know, I set it up. Just it seems barcode s broken so reporting it here.

It is up for me right now. I would try another browser.

Agreed on both of your points. Question is if it is sold, and we can reinvest in the bankroll, will it still attract players!?
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling Investments on: November 13, 2016, 05:18:16 AM
3 months and 2 weeks in:

Up nearly 0.2 Bitcoins over the last week.

This week the potential  sale of BetKing has started. This may have an impact on betting volumes and the bankroll, but only time will tell.

474  Economy / Securities / Re: BetKing.io - FOR SALE - 7100 BTC PROFIT - Bitcoin gambling site on: November 12, 2016, 05:13:49 PM
We just released an article on the potential BetKing sale. It also includes our back of envelope evaluation of the potential price of the sale.

Read it here: http://bitcoingamblingreviews.com/betking-sale/

We think it is roughly worth between 1,350 bitcoins to 1687.5 bitcoins. Of course other people will have drastically different valuations.

You should never sell anything if think betking is worth that. Please stop pretend you know anything about price. If i was dean i would not sell bellow 5x yearly profit. Try find a bitcoin site that give u more then 20% yearly if you got alot of btc.

5x annual profit is an interesting multiple...

No offence but that article has a lot of assumptions and guesswork contained in it.

Have you contacted the owners of BetKing to establish any facts or figures at all?

I like your website which I read often and I also enjoy reading your gambling investment thread on a daily basis but I have to be honest,
that article is quite poor.

Like I have already said, it contains too much guesswork and speculation.

Thanks for reading the site Smiley

Clearly a lot of mistakes in the calcs of this, and assumptions are huge yes. A lot more information would be required for a real buyer.

This is the most inaccurate article about BetKing you could possibly write.

No fact checking or any idea how BetKing works even though you are an investor.

First, the commission is 25% of profit weekly and 25% of edge on wagered. That effectively gives BetKing 50% of all profit.
You also have to consider that at any time I have between 10-20% of the bankroll too.

You state it's 7000 profit in 3.5 years which shows you didn't bother reading the OP.
BetKing was a poker site for a whole year and we didn't really start doing dice until Just-Dice closed in 2014.
So the profit is for a little over 2 years and 4000 Bitcoin of that is this year.
So your estimate of my earnings is way off.

You make a very odd assumption about the running costs too.
BetKing costs a little under £1000 a month to run. That's it. No admin, marketing, wages etc etc.
So think what someone who knows about marketing could do with the site.

Your valuation is made on the assumption that the site would transfer investors over to knew owner which is clearly stated in the ad that this isn't what would happen, for very obvious reasons.

The ad is targeted at someone who would bankroll the site themselves, maybe made up of a small group of private investors. That's the fastest way to make initial investment back and profit on top.

So now. Assume BetKing has made 7100 Bitcoin in a little over 2 years, 4000 this year and then think about just how much it is worth.

Very rushed article and it is very late where I am. Apologies for that.

- Article has been changed to reflect the commission structure of 50% not 25%.
- 3.5 years changed to 2 years
- The fact that you have additional funds in the bankroll change nothing for the value of the site stand alone in my opinion.
- Running cost is like that because you run it full time. Sure you pay yourself no salary, but still your time needs a value still.
- I assume the new owner can attract new investors to the bankroll, if not it should have a negative impact on the price.

Glad to hear everyone's opinions on a valuation Smiley Always glad to change any mistakes or add further information.

We think it is roughly worth between 3,372 bitcoins to 4,215 bitcoins. Of course other people will have drastically different valuations.

EDIT: mistakes changed on some variables - massive one being the 25% changed to 50% of profit taken by the site.

3 Months and nearly 1 week now. Been an absolutely Brutal week on Bitvest, who have had a whale destroy the bankroll. I would recommend anyone reading this thread to think and do more research before investing into Bitvest. They appear to have a poorly managed maximum win on an individual Plinko bet with regards to their bankroll.
