2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Masternode Projects on: April 11, 2018, 03:28:00 PM
As for me, while contributing to MasterNode projects first of all I look on the product and perspectives of the project: the idea and quality of the product, the business model of the coin...
Among all the pack of scammy shitcoins I've found the Smart Quorum project - their coin is about to fuel the marketplace of community-driven development.
Their coin should rise after their platform starts working, check out their ANN: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3297005.0
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] Smart Quorum Masternode Coin - Blockchain development on: April 11, 2018, 08:09:02 AM
I did not find the team. This is an important circumstance. I hope we get the information.

Thank you for your interest, pls stay tuned!

Yes thank you. The project is very interesting thanks to the presentation, which is given to us on the site. I agree that the finished product partly compensates for incomplete information about the team.

+100! We've seen a bunch of projects launched in 2017, with team's public profiles etc, and nothing had been delivered so far...

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin XT VS Bitcoin Core on: June 23, 2015, 04:03:42 PM
It is widely agreed that at some point an increase of the block size limit will be needed
to allow the Bitcoin network to handle more than seven transactions per second.

Some say, hard fork enforcement can eventually cause Bitcoin lose its value.

What do you think?

Those who spend from four to nine hours a day behind a computer screen, risk  both their body and eyesight.

Here's how to minimize the risk.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ecuador: The First Country to make it's own CrytoCurrency on: August 09, 2014, 11:16:40 AM
is this good or bad for bitcoin? i'm not really sure.

Definite good. Introduces population to digital currency. Said currency collapses. Bitcoin benefits.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 things you should know about Bitcoin's competitors #bitcoin #facts on: August 09, 2014, 11:13:10 AM
I don't view all altcoins (that aren't scams) as competitors, but more complimentary. I think that a handful will survive to serve specific niches in conjunction with Bitcoin as the main.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Bitcoin Fanatics Say, Part 3 on: August 09, 2014, 11:10:19 AM
Where is part 1 and Part 2?
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50 people who may want to help promote bitcoin..if u ask them on: August 09, 2014, 11:08:47 AM
more like: 50 people who could buy all existing bitcoins and dump them at once.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1,000-member secret progressive journalist group uncovered, FUD spreaders of BTC on: August 09, 2014, 11:06:19 AM

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Girl Music Video (Official) on: August 09, 2014, 11:02:26 AM
Anybody else finding this somewhat cringeworthy? All the way from the execution to the message.
Although the doge was a welcome comic relief.

awful.. especially considering that at least 90% of the bitcoin community is guys (whyever). just another moronic "sex sells" video.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC price hiked at $7300 per BTC, what does this mean!? on: August 09, 2014, 10:58:52 AM
Uhm, no. Based on the current Bitstamp order book alone, 17k bitcoins can be bought without the price even going above $1000.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Apple is letting Bitcoin back in. on: August 09, 2014, 10:57:32 AM
Perhaps this time they didn't blatantly violate Apple's rules by including major functionality that was completely hidden until enabled on the server, and not turning that on until after review. Apple wants to review the app users are going to see.
Previous discussion from back when that happened: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=7194085

Oh, bull. It'd be significantly easier to use credit cards for IAP than Bitcoin. Apple prevents this easily with the review process
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Retail adoption hurts bitcoin price it doesn't help it and here's why on: August 09, 2014, 10:55:51 AM
Most merchants are not interested in new technology apart from their own core business and only look for ways to get money fast and easy. As soon as those report less costs, more consumers and less problems, more merchants will jump on the train making it more efficient for everyone.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Retail adoption hurts bitcoin price it doesn't help it and here's why on: August 09, 2014, 10:54:18 AM
This is pretty much common knowledge here, but you are missing a few points. After the first rush to buy things with Bitcoin, everyone is free to fill up their accounts with more Bitcoin (maybe even cheaper after a little sell-off) and having a Bitcoin payment option and its logo on the page of a merchant may lead people to inform themselves about it and get into and maybe buy a few.

Trusting in imaginary gods to protect you is as useful as wishing on a lucky star. It's nice to be hopeful but don't delude yourself. Take responsibility for your own protection. http://whywontgodhealamputees.com
