101  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Post bitcoin address of scammers here on: October 04, 2015, 04:55:21 PM
I also agree with the OP.

I was saved from a scammer once, simply by searching his wallet address (which led to a scam accusation thread).

It never would have happened if everyone took the attitude of not posting scammers wallets.

Yeah, just file it under 'waste of time'.  Non-buyers are part of the wheeling & dealing process.

Where does this community meet up? I don't see a website or anything. Where can I go to beg for bitcoins?  Huh

I could possibly meet up with you in Rotterdam for any deal 20-100BTC but there's no way you are getting up to a 10% discount.  Roll Eyes
109  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: September 27, 2015, 04:53:54 AM
Science is only applicable to what can be tested, and not simply theorized upon, or what takes faith to believe.

Exactly. Science is blind to some things, so I can't take its arguments seriously.

Also, at one time "observation" proved the earth was flat. It  was a fact. But then they amended this "fact" later (as science does).

With science, "facts" ain't what they used to be.  Grin
110  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you a religious person or not? on: September 26, 2015, 10:41:45 PM
You choose the religion which is true, not one that suits you.  Catholicism is the true faith, all others are false.  Some are very false (Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Atheism etc), some are partially true and only have certain tenets which are false (Protestantism, Judaism).

I would say even those that have matching tenets are still false, if they are not part of the real church (Catholic).

I've never eat at McDonalds because the food at McDonalds can make my body be a obesity.  My experience eating in McDonalds shows that food in McDonalds very unhygienic

You won't become obese from eating it once, but you will suffer eternal punishment if you sin just once. There is a huge difference here.

Difficult subject, as others views are generally not respected. But i believe that everybody is alowed their belief as long as they dont try to convert me im fine with it.
Yes but you have to realize, they are trying to save you from enternal torment in hell. It's not an act of conversion, it's an act of mercy.
Once you peel away all the fancy gloss paint and pretty wallpaper, underneath they are simply threatening people with "Believe/join in my religious cult, or burn in hell."

I ignore people that threaten me.

Then your thinking is still in error. It's like me saying "Don't eat McDonald's every day or you will get a heart attack."

And you rebuff with, I ignore people that threaten me.

It's completely and totally not like "Don't eat McDonald's every day or you will get a heart attack." at all, in anyway, shape or form.

"Don't eat McDonald's every day or you will get a heart attack." is a valid argument because we have a mountain of evidence that suggests eating large amounts of unhealthy food is very bad for our bodies and does increase heart attack chances greatly.
In complete polar contrast "Believe/join in my religious cult, or burn in hell." has ZERO evidence attached to it. Since NOBODY knows what happens when we die, people claiming they do know and present it as fact, are simply LYING.

You are going off in a different direction again so let me realign your thinking. I wasn't claiming anything about evidence (it's a matter of faith anyway), I was only claiming that it was NOT a threat.

Remember, a religion person doesn't say believe or *I* will send you to hell. They are simply educating you on the implications of your sinful nature (similar to eating McDonalds every day) and the consequence that results.

They are not thereating you, they are trying to help you.

115  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling 12BTC coinbase account for 2BTC on: September 26, 2015, 02:42:17 AM
Why do you guys say that this is a scam? I basically want to give these Bitcoins away in an interesting way, because I will make a profit off of it as well.
You guys just can't trust people. I am selling a genuine account here and you guys are just attacking me and damaging my reputation. I'm just another seller on the digital goods section. Please do not attack me like this. I have not done anything bad and I also do not intend on doing anything bad.

I feel for you, brother. Any time a generous offer is made, everyone yells SCAM!

In fact, for you I will escrow this whole thing for free.

I'd be glad to escrow for this.

@BiPolarBob I see you straight on the road to get second -ve , for scammer education -use  fake ID Grin

I never said use it. I just said fake ID has value. Ask anyone who had to pay for fake ID so they could get into the bar.  Grin

Maybe the older you get, the more you accumulate frustrations & disappointments.

The solution? Argue on internet forums!  Grin

I think a good quality ID set is worth more than .02BTC because it can be used for profitable illicit activity in the event of lender default.  That is, assuming the ID looks good. So in my mind, the collateral is sound.

IMHO there are two problems:
 - how to verify his docs... and still be profitable with a 5$ loan?
 - in case he defaults what to do? its just 5$... its not worth calling a lawyer

That's exactly my point.  You don't need to verify them. If the ID looks really good, it has value in itself (good for anyone wanting to scam). I think that value is more than 0.02BTC but it really depends on the amount of ID he provides.

So..Are you willing to fund me?
Of course that is upon repayment, you agree not to sell my ID to a scamming ring.😂

Would you come on a video call and hold up your ID? That would prove you aren't using second-hand ID.

if i get you right you are saying that if he defaults you could sell his id to another scammer?
if his id is already fake and you dont see it he could just use it again (maybe not on btct)

Yeah, I didn't mean on this forum.  I just meant that good quality ID sets have value.  So in my mind it is a form of collateral.
