1761  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com -- Your Trusted Bitcoin Gambling Wallet (Upgraded Speeds!) on: July 16, 2016, 03:35:18 AM
Fuck my life! I just had to deposit into the only fucking app that isn't working! Did anybody else get their coins? Doesn't moneypot control access to the funds anyway? We gotta wait on them to fix it? It's been over 24 hours! The site is working, my ass! Fucking hell...

App? The whole site isn't working. (In terms of deposits, I think everything else works, like transferring between wallets)

No I haven't received my coins yet.

And no, moneypot doesn't have control over funds once you move them into a casino wallet. But it's not the app's fault, moneypot is having some server issues Sad

Quote
Reminder:

Any money you deposit into an app gives it full control over that balance.

When an app is enabled, you are allowing this app to access the money you deposit into it until you either disable the app or withdraw the app balance back into your Moneypot wallet.

1764  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com -- Your Trusted Bitcoin Gambling Wallet (Upgraded Speeds!) on: July 15, 2016, 03:13:55 PM
We are working on getting everything back up and running smoothly. Unfortunately we had a number of people deposit during the maintenance period and we are working on resolving those issues as soon as possible.

Please understand we are pushing updates that we have been working on for the past several months: these are major upgrades that will improve the user experience for all of MoneyPot's users.

Couldnt you guys have done a beta testing before moving us all over Sad

1766  Economy / Auctions / Re: Newbie but potential senior member account on: July 15, 2016, 10:43:13 AM
If the account is still a newbie after 252 posts, then that means you've just spammed 252 posts in a 2 week period,

do you know what you are saying here? do you mean what potential activity is? i am pretty sure you don't know it so it is better not to post if you don't know what you will post just for your signature campaign or someone might report you

I do know what it means lol.
Why are you being so aggressive rofl

If the account is still a newbie after 252 posts, then that means you've just spammed 252 posts in a 2 week period,
Read again the OP dude, the account has potential activity which means that after you make 250+ posts you will become sr.member but that does not mean you have to make all those posts within a week or two. OP I would suggest you to lower the starting bid as it is high. While checking other auction threads you can see that people usually start bid from 0.01

Yea, I know it has potential activity. But I could also make a new account, spam 250 posts and it could be a potential Sr member.

What I'm saying here is that due to the fact that the account hasn't turned into a Jr Member (which means creation date is > 2 weeks) then he's basically created a new account and spammed the 252 posts.

Because the way activity is calculated:

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.

You need 30 Activity To become a Jr Member
And with a minimum increase of 14 activity each fortnight your account would have to be at least a month old (or 2 fortnights not weeks my bad).

1767  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: reasons to buy from individual? on: July 15, 2016, 08:29:16 AM
I buy from individuals because the verification process on big exchanges take so long and are relatively unnecessary.

1768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: July 15, 2016, 08:28:17 AM
Invest in ninetendo shares because of the Pokemon GO hype.
1769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to grow my bitcoins by Trading? on: July 15, 2016, 08:27:01 AM
Holding bitcoins until they reach a value you deem profitable is probably one of the better and safer methods of growing your bitcoins.

Your bitcoins may not exactly grow in satoshis but the equivalent in fiat will.
1770  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading places on: July 15, 2016, 08:24:30 AM
I think you have to try Yobit , at there you can sell and buy at highest price than the normal price (currently it is around $740), and there you can trade with about 300 more coins.

I think you need to be careful on trading in yobit because as you said that there are many coins to choose from, And one of the disadvantage of that is there is a high risk of that other coins will turn to scam because it's hard for other users to recognize that coin.

That is not the problem of the yobit. That is the problem of the altcoins. Most of the altcoins are just scams.

It would be better for yobit not to list many very obvious scam coins. For example, it should list the coins 3 months after creation.

What's to stop the developers from delaying the scam for up to 3 months?
1771  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SKYPEBAN.COM - BAN ANY SKYPE $10 - SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE - WEB BASED on: July 15, 2016, 08:22:08 AM
What is the purpose of this and how is it any different from blocking someone's Skype ID?

This is if you want to get rid of someones skype forever and not allow them to use that username anymore, this is useful for getting revenge, banning OG skypes, getting someone bad off skype, and it is better than blocking them because this way they lose ALL their contacts and can't get back on their skype. Also, we are working on developing a skype IP banner.

Stay tuned.

Are your methods legal or just SE?
1772  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: nioctib.org - the new Bitcoin Forum on: July 15, 2016, 08:20:31 AM
This is like the 5th thread i've seen about this.

Please stop spamming, that's not the proper way to promote a bitcoin forum.

Just make a service announcement thread and a signature campaign/

1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost $4.2k aud on: July 15, 2016, 08:04:44 AM
I'm kind of used to losing big amounts now. The worst part is thinking about what you could have done with the money after you lose it, lol.

Anyway @ the people telling me to "quit";
It's not that simple. You can't just quit. It's harder than that.
I was good for a for a few months but got back into it and screwed up.

You gotta set short term goals

Like: I'm gonna gamble until i get 1% of my bankroll then stop till tomorrow
or: I'm only gonna lose up to 10% of my bankroll, then i'll try again tomorrow

Do you play against other people or computers?

Provably fair?

Although it may seem like you win more, a modified martingale is still a martingale and will have the same chance of loss as the normal one.
1778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loses and wins on: July 15, 2016, 07:33:30 AM
I wish I had saved my pictures. I had a 22 loss streak on just-dice at 49.5%

1779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ALL IN!!?? on: July 15, 2016, 07:30:43 AM
I've all inned multiple times and I've lost around 80% of those all ins (these were at 50% chance)

Rule: Never all in (unless you've already accepted that you will more than likely lose)
1780  Economy / Goods / Re: [Price drop] Create secure paper wallets with an Ubuntu Live USB 0.03BTC each on: July 15, 2016, 07:23:44 AM
Despite your recommendation to run it through an antivirus, I still think it wouldn't be too hard to add a line or two to the code in the version of bitaddress/vanitygen that would either a) send the info to some server somewhere or b) bias the generation of addresses.

In order to truly ensure that it was secure, you would need to get a copy of everything on the usb from a reputable source and perform a diff to ensure that no malicious code was added inside it. And at that point, just downloading it from the source would be easier.

How would it send information to a server if you never connected your computer/laptop to the internet?

(Unless you use a wired connection and leave the ethernet cable in Tongue)
