121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DRK] Darkcoin is NOT Anonymous? Possible Proof inside. on: March 07, 2015, 05:01:01 PM
To my knowledge we have 59 merchants accepting DRK.  From VPS providers, VPN Providers to hardware stores, wine merchants, 3d printing services, a lawyer(!), precious metals traders, electronics shops to general shops.

Thats a respectable achievement

For a generic brand of peanuts maybe.

Where can I spend my SDC?
Before you can spent something you must have it.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What would have been if.....? on: March 07, 2015, 11:16:26 AM
Darkcoin:  The only thing done professionally is the scamming. The code is like bits and pieces hanging about full of bugs and holes and patched up after kind members of the crypto world point them out. It had more forks than anyone cares to count. The appropriate name would be Forkcoin.
The question remains is the dev simply is not capable of, or if it is done on purpose, personally i say the later just looking at facts.

So the coin launches and straight away problems, why, incompetence or a deliberate scam?
Well there is a relaunch so the hoard of keen miners of newly launched coins who looked forward to the launch turn there miners back to whatever coin they where mining. Some time later relaunch, more problems and announcement of relaunch in couple of days. By this time even the last miner gave up and could see no value if the dev is not even capable to launch a copy and paste coin.
Then having the mining world to himself as the original miners now sleep, bang, launch much earlier then announced at 4AM on Sunday. Straight away 50 nodes are fired up with the reward 500 coins no hard limit then changed to 84m and miner receives 100% of coins and no pesky masternodes to pay. (Soon the miner receives 40% of 4 coins reward)
Keeping a partial section of the coin closed source made sure not to many miners would join in this struggling xcoin thing with its doggy record and so many different coins available to mine at that time.
It is well documented that large amounts of coins changed hands back then it is equally well know that dev was a active buyer of large sums of coins. Spending a few thousand was no big deal as money was no object for dev and knowing full well that the bigger his stash of coins the bigger the interest payment for ever.
So the big reward mining coming to an end what was needed next was some interest in his coin. How you get that, well you sign up to the crock mintpal exchange and negotiate a flat fee and then buy and sell, back and forth your own coins. Soon the is volume sky high at little cost. Damn that must be a good thing little Willy thinks i better buy a bag full, its only $xx.
Dev always had more than 50% of coins, to this day and the nature of the coin means his percentage can only get bigger over time. Selling? Why would he have sold a single coin at any stage knowing he can get free coins forever with every 1k bundle he holds and only dumps some coins coming of his earnings from the scam masternodes.
From no max coins to 21m limit cap and 0% to 60% for masternodes and the caravan ventures on and enters the next town.
Windows wallets, yeh the pesky things everyone uses es-special the hobby miners, a well screw them let them buy the free generated coins later.

drillbaby:   windows version, both wallet and daemon - won't sync
eduffield:   Awesome!

Is it simply a string of unfortunate events and incompetence or a scam from the word go, you judge.

On his last stop in town he had this to say

Sorry about the accidental self-moderated threat.

125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PAYCOIN is coin scame on: March 03, 2015, 04:46:13 PM
paycoin this time will be the biggest SCAME 2015

Paycoin dev interview here.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIasr2AiyZ0

He says a lot of good things about crypto and how it will all become in the coming future.

Why you keep confusing him with evan the Darkcon dev laughing about his ill-gotten masternotes
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paycon soon overtake Bitcoin ? on: March 03, 2015, 04:36:02 PM
Not really sure, but this interview with the dev says a lot.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIasr2AiyZ0

127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This thread is for DRK bagholders - bump on 2/25/15 - share your broken dreams on: February 28, 2015, 03:35:34 PM
Why would ASIC be a bad thing for Darkcoin? The original vision of the DRK dev was that first it would be CPU mined, then GPU, and finally ASIC.

A bunch of crooks and scammers operating on this coin it is hard to figure at times who is the worst. (is there a competition happen)

The original claim from the DRK dev was that it is ASIC resistant. As late as june he was claiming it to be, he know very well that it is not. Just like it is not the first anonymous coin, as fraudulently claimed.

ASIC resistant does not mean ASIC proof.  DRK dev has acknowledged ASICs will be viable and in use in the future since day one.
PoS = Proof of Stupid

Stay in your Darkcave where all low life scammers are
Eduffield = PoS (Piece of Shit)
(Who is talking about ASIC proof?)
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of a coin who reduce the total amount of coins being minted? on: February 27, 2015, 07:10:29 PM
Darkcoin is one such scam

Wait for the new X 11 ASCIS kicking darkcoins butt. After that pumpers will end up in tears when masternodes start to dump all their coins.

What is your definition of anytime soon?
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DRK vs XMR warez on: February 22, 2015, 08:44:08 AM

[1] - stop with the instamined crap. It wasn't and everyone's bored with that year-old stale fud

I could have sworn I saw some pretty good evidence that there was in fact a large instamine. I remember seeing graphs and such. The number 2 million seems to ring a bell, but I'm not sure.
Unlike conventional instamines where devs stash diminishes over time in this scam the dev stash gets bigger with his masternode payments every passing day, together with early whales making it totally centralized.
It is a dead coin walking, the only good thing no execution date is set.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DRK vs XMR warez on: February 21, 2015, 11:50:42 AM
Let me sum this up for you.

The technology behind cryptonote obliterates darkcoin.  It's mathematically provable, it doesn't have random nodes that mostly exist in the amazon cloud to mix shit.

Monero cons

Original authors are scam artists so other devs have taken it over (for XMR)
Low market cap
Mostly held up by bitcoin whales who have no experience in altcoins
Not enough money to fund development (devs are using their own money).  Probably will run out at some point and project will die.
Kinda fubar'd emission

Dark cons

Massive premine
Alternated emission curve to jack price up (make early guys rich on shoulders of late guys after the fact).  Use of node required funding to prop price up.
Spaghetti code
Hypeish name that attracts the wrong crowd
Project will die as soon as devs don't have more coins to unload on a market they create by releasing features.  Even if that isn't the case, changing emission curve as dramatically as it was PLUS the massive instamine will kill it longterm.
Darkcoin dev cant run out of coins as he has unlimited coins coming out his arse with free masternode payments which he got with his instamine. It is a coin where the rich get richer by the minute.
Guys have hundreds of notes running. If you have 100 masternotes you get another on for free much faster than when you have just one or two. Obviously to buy you stand no chance at all.
lets say you have 100 masternotes and get paid 10 coins a day in a 100 days you have another masternote running, now you get paid from 101, now it takes less time to have another note running than last time. Time reduces with every additional masternote. If you operate one or two you too will have a free masternote in a couple of years. Try keeping up buying, lol.
The instamine scam with this coin is way worse than with a traditional scam where dev has limited dumping ability.
Time will tell when the last sucker is found.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paycoin (XPY) is scam on: February 19, 2015, 09:14:03 PM
I hope Paycoin can uptrend again
i hold this coin for long time. pls up.

all in vain
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This thread is for DRK bagholders - bump on 2/25/15 - share your broken dreams on: February 19, 2015, 05:31:15 PM
I'm not price speculating, I understand no one gets that DRK is a superior coin. Most sheep just follow the others and at the moment BTC has the market share. Im simply stating DRK is the future, with sufficient network security.
Scams maybe the future in the ghettos including the one you from, but not in the rest of the world it is not
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paycoin (XPY) is scam on: February 16, 2015, 09:24:33 PM
Whats going on with XPY trading on the new CryptoRush ?
http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/cryptorush/

As I posted that, I noticed that the 'new, and really not a scam this time round' CryptoRush seems to have gone tits-up again.
Oh, well, business as usual in crypto....... Roll Eyes

Isn't Cryptorush dead? The website is not working.

Also I didn't remeber to see Cryptorush listed at CoinMarketCap. It seems there is some bug at it, because also the price is more than 2 USD (against 0.83 at Cryptsy).
Cryptorush has run away with customers money a second time by the look of things. Offline for 22h already
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Darkcoin price is skyrocketing! on: February 15, 2015, 07:43:44 AM
I dont understand why the price keep falling now ? It hit 1500k sat few days back but today it's only 1000k Sad
There is no mystery  this scam falling on his arse again. Dev will keep on dumping his free generated coins from masternotes.
(a little hind, dopey people generally dont have a lot of money to keep on buying)

Edit: It should be renamed Forkcoin. It had more forks than anyone cares to remember
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead or Dying former top 10 coins on: February 13, 2015, 02:30:27 PM
Very sad to see Peercoin in this predicament, but it will overtake Paycoin again
