1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: December 30, 2018, 10:30:50 AM

EOS.IO is software that introduces a blockchain architecture designed to enable vertical and horizontal scaling of decentralized applications (the “EOS.IO Software”). This is achieved through an operating system-like construct upon which applications can be built. The software provides accounts, authentication, databases, asynchronous communication and the scheduling of applications across multiple CPU cores and/or clusters. The resulting technology is a blockchain architecture that has the potential to scale to millions of transactions per second, eliminates user fees and allows for quick and easy deployment of decentralized applications. For more information, please read the EOS.IO Technical White Paper.

I am in no way connected or affiliated with EOS or block.one. This has kind of become the thread for EOS on Bitcointalk, so I thought I would edit the OP with links and information. OP May 6, 2017:

It sounds like this is essentially Ethereum, but much more efficient seeing as though it has asynchronous processing of smart contracts.

He hasn't released many details yet, but I guess the details will come in after Coindesk's Consensus conference.

In this market, anything can happen, and even such a large and strong project can die, due to lack of investment or internal problems in management. This is a cryptocurrency, everything can happen here.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain to Combat Fake Medicines in India? on: December 30, 2018, 10:28:35 AM
That's a really cool idea. A large number of counterfeit products can kill people and cripple young and working-age people, which is not good for the economy.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will waves price touch $5 by the end of this 2018? on: December 29, 2018, 10:09:09 AM
Every time I am surprised at how many topics about a particular coin appear when it flies up a little. The same situation was with Ripple and Ethereum. Everyone wants easy money?
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: will bitcoin give surprise, ?? on: December 29, 2018, 10:06:44 AM
in this month whether bitcoin will reach the highest price?

Now I think that it can surprise us only at an even lower price. The smallest price he certainly will not show us, but for the heart you grab, I assure you. That's how we live.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to known a Scam ICO on: December 29, 2018, 10:03:56 AM
Please tell me how to known a scam ICO to protect myself
BTW now i should buy ICO coin or buy coin on exchange?
Thank so much

It was quite difficult to do. Recently, fraudulent projects have created such beautiful sites and found such good actors that even an old and venerable investor came in and gave their money.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not yet an end for crypto on: December 28, 2018, 08:57:01 AM
There is a saying that the road to success is not always smooth. This is just exactly what crypto inves tment portrays. In the business of crypto, uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. The fact that there is a very high level of dip in crypto market currently is not enough reason to conclude that an end has come to crypto.I know that the bearish market situation at present  in the crypto world would  make many crypto lovers to be having a second thought of relinquishing their ardent commitment to crypto investment since no tangible profit is forthcoming but honestly, that is not the best option. What crypto is going through now is just a bend and not the end . In a short while from now, things will amend for better .This is not yet the end for crypto but rather a bend for something better.

I understand the level of interest of institutional investors in this area, so the end is out of the question. This is just the beginning, the car hasn't warmed up yet. I think we'll see 25K soon .
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is better than Bitcoin? on: December 27, 2018, 06:50:11 AM
As an investment, they are quite difficult to consider, as we do not know how the market will react to the new system of coin mining, which Ethereum is going to introduce in the near future.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP really better than ETH??? on: December 27, 2018, 06:47:52 AM
Let's start with the fact that XRP can hardly be called a crypto currency, which is why at the last grandiose drop in the market - it did not catch, because the capitalization fell from the crypto-currency market, and he was not related to it.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should leave the market? on: December 27, 2018, 06:45:22 AM
A little discussion about the market. Do you have belief in this market? In my country, people are frightening when the capitalization is reducing dramatically, many of whom have drawn out from the market. And some experts suggest that people should only invest in 20 coins which have the highest capitalization, and stay away from the low-capital ones. What is your opinion about this?

I believe that if you decide to leave the market, you should ask yourself 1 question. Why did you do all this? You set a goal for yourself when you came here. So far disappeared this goal. You already have?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The first risk-free ICO with money back guarantee on: December 26, 2018, 08:14:40 AM
In this market, I would not believe in such stories. Quite a good way to attract investors in order to dial soft cap and play on the General problem - the loss of money when investing. They might be able to do something.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is going to convince me which is the best! on: December 26, 2018, 08:12:29 AM
BTC

XRP

ETH

Who is going to convince me which is the best? and why?

The question is why you choose these assets, if for investment, long-term, then of course it is best for you to use Bitcoin, the chance of its failure is much lower than the other 2 projects.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto market in depression on: December 26, 2018, 08:09:48 AM
The only question is what can stop all this depression and who will bring joy to this market. Really want to it was a real joy,not hysterical... it will be scary.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bill gates says cryptocurrency is bad on: December 25, 2018, 10:12:52 AM
I think it's all related to the internal politics of their company. Even if he likes technology, he cannot say that he supports cryptocurrencies, because if it dies, he can be sued.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson from bear market on: December 25, 2018, 10:10:27 AM
I was always ready for the worst of circumstances, but there is only 1 point, how then to work, if you initially believe that you can lose everything? Personally, I need at least some, but the goal.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best competitors to Ethereum? on: December 25, 2018, 10:08:17 AM
Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?

(I know on top of my head that Cardano and IOTA try to challenge Ethereum,
although they still haven't proved much from my understanding?)

I was thinking, and how it will help him. At the moment, he has a lot of competitors, but he is somehow generally cold. Look at NEO and Cardano, strong projects that the Chinese government loves, and Ethereum doesn't care.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to move to BTC on: December 22, 2018, 07:18:26 AM
I think to have a bull market up-coming is the best way to move all the money that you have in altcoins to bitcoin, because with market dominance of Bitcoin the market will go green, and the bull run with start, as far as I am concerned from the previous experience of the bull run more than 55% bitcoin was dominant in the market.
Suggestions?

How could you forget about diversification? Even if you are 80% sure of your idea, you still can't do that. You understand that the market is constantly changing and in the end you can lose a large share of profits because of their rash movements.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can someone help me? on: December 22, 2018, 07:15:58 AM
I am sure that it is better for beginners to start working with reliable coins. For example, bitcoin or altcoins from the top-20. Moreover, now is the ideal time for profitable investments, while the prices of most coins are at their minimum level. Part of the money can also be invested in the purchase of new coins with good development potential.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Very soon we will see a new wave of market growth!!! on: December 22, 2018, 07:10:47 AM
I would like to hope that in the new 2019 we will really see significant changes in the world of cryptocurrencies. I am sure that in the end we will see that not in vain in 2019 had such hopes
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet do you use for storing ERC-20 token? on: December 21, 2018, 08:05:25 AM
Which wallet do you use for storing your ERC-20 token?

I personally like MEW because it's very easy to use. Some people like Trezor or Ledger but personally I have no problems by using MEW  Smiley
In MEW you have complete access to your private keys.

Are there any mew replacements? I've only heard about the project, which was created by one of the creators of MEW, who just had different views with most of the team, but I do not remember the name of this wallet.
