agreed, infinite amount of computing power btc would not be your main obective... if you had that you could just mine them and i guess steal them if you wanted and get them all and they would then be worthless so you wasted all this imaginary computer power to turn gold into mud :-P
That is the beauty of bitcoin, if you have enough "power" to corrupt the system, then would you also destroy the system, making your scam-profit worthless. Satoshi mention this in the white paper when he explains the security of PoW. The point here is that the "power" is something that you buy via buying equipment and when you attack the Bitcoin network you will be devaluing the value of your equipment that cannot do anything other then mine a SHA256 coin. Exactly!  lol :-) gotta lovethe checks and balances built in to the btc world :-) |

Also help illustrate how big of a number 2^256 is, most people have an idea that it is big, but not how big it really is. As a side note: the number space of bitcoin private keys are "only" 2^160, since capital "O", the capital "I" and the lowercase "l", as well as the number "0" is excluded. But 2^160 is till a very very very very very large number. It's almost impossible , you can't live "for ever". This is a great image that explain you better :  Thanks to @TookDk. Use BTC as your savings and dont htink about it just accept payments from your business and let it build then you will not have to worry about buying anyway, i know product cost money to produce so cashouts will be needed and you can usually find someone ready to buy maybe even a little over market value

This casino i guess has some issues.... 98% of the games will not giving me an error screen instead and the 2% that do work do not pay on winning combinations... this is first ever bad review i've given to online game.... be careful since in support they told me they were aware of these issues but still have not fixed them still letting the games that they know do not pay available...

I was wondering if anyone could please help me understand how decimal places are handled in the Bitcoin source code, with regard to the length of the decimal place? As far as the article goes .. would a solution be to just chop off anything below 100k satoshi, or would the total coin supply just be changed to 22,000,000,000,000.00 Bitcoins? I tried reading through the wiki, and I can't really find a good description as to how that's handled. Is there already a thread talking about this? Sorry if there is, please just point me to the link if you have it I have gotten use to 1 satashi and the decimal place it takes up... i know that 100ksatashi is a mBTC and it is just eassy for me to keep up with the places as is already |
