I am just about 45 miles north of Dallas in Grayson county and interested in maybe purchasing these and also getting a hands on lesson on the set up?  You think that may come with the deal?  Let me know the price if negatioable and if you'd be willing to help a newbie out... I would be able to make the trip to Dallas no problem
364  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: End of an Era on: November 08, 2014, 11:50:47 AM
it makes some effect for bitcoin prices or not if 1 of the big pool closed?
No. Mining is affected directly by the price of bitcoin. The price of bitcoin is not directly affected by mining.

I always thought the price of bitcoin wass like any other product that is on the market, supply and demand... since so many new coins are introduced into the market each day there has to be someone out there willing to buy those coins at a given value, if they are not being sold the price drops if people are wanting more than what is out there the price rises (or atleast that is the way i assumed it worked)
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The transaction fee is just ridiculous. on: November 08, 2014, 11:05:26 AM
you can always send it withh 0.0000000 tx fee and ust wait on it.. you are paying for the convienence and speed of blockchain and for the miners cost to send your tx its not really so bad...

372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ASPCA animal rescue on: November 07, 2014, 03:41:24 PM
I have some first hand experience (and plenty of 2nd hand knowledge) with some animal charities. I can agree that the bigger ones do tend to spend possibly too much on awareness campaigns, 'stuff' and donations could possibly be better spent on smaller, more local organisations - but if the bigger ones accept BTC then the smaller ones are more likely to pick it up too, not the other way round.

So I think its just as important to push the big ones to get on board as it is to give donations to the smaller ones to get more effective aid for the money (however every charity has admin costs and rely on marketing campaigns to generate more donations - the smaller ones do not get gvmnt / public money, at least none that ive ever been involved with - obviously its different everywhere).

In any case, if the ASPCA start to take BTC donations im sure it wouldnt be money badly spent, even if it goes to a commercial or some other PA stuff - awareness is important too, of both animal charity in general and the money that makes it to the 'front line' (for every ASPCA commercial out there, im sure other charities get a boost from it too).

I know a few local charities do a great job worth a mention (that I also contacted about BTC before), just in case people want some suggestions for BTC mailing...
Dogs Trust http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogs_Trust
Cats aid, Ispca and http://www.bluecross.org.uk/

plus if it take say 500,000 in advertising to get an extra 1.5million in donations than that is an extra 1 million they would not have had without spending that 500,000 then imo it is money well spent... people always look at advertising with charity money as a waste, but its money spent to get  more money for the cause that they would not have been able to get if not done...

It was bound to happen, these DNM are scary to the core.

What do you guys think BTC is going to do, up or down?

No suprises... any agency that consists of three letters I.E.  FBI, DEA, NSA, are not uneducated and easy to ellude... it is their job to make sure things like this do not exist in this world, but its others jobs to make sure that they do, it will always be an updown battle between the "good" and the "bad"

You have the right to remain silent anythin you say can and WILL be used AGAINST you in the court of law.......

This is a right that many people very stupidily dont pay attention to the keywords... you must always always flex  your right of silence and  use it;... if all else fails and you are in sticky situation with gov't lawyer up quick and let him do all the speaking for you
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ASPCA animal rescue on: November 05, 2014, 10:20:42 PM
i personally do not like corporate charities, seeing as they get large funding of governments of over $200mill, yet the actual animal care activities accounts for under $30mill.

they spend more on advertising and fundraising activities then they do on actually helping an animal.

i prefer http://www.hopeforpaws.org/ which is less corporate and has more proof of actual animal care and less proof of wasting money on fundraising campaigns.

so while your emailing ASPCA also use the contact page of hope for paws Cheesy

Will do I have never heard of hopeforpaws.org but I am always looking for new ways to try and help abused/abandoned/homeless animals...

not bad game I like the concept... at first game play was very slow, seems like if only 1 game was allowed per player at a time would keep games going faster smoother and less waiting on your opp.  <---- just my only sugestion.  today it ran smoother though
