1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Time to Buy More BTC? on: April 12, 2024, 10:56:45 AM
I've been watching with interest as Bitcoin has pulled back over the past week after hitting new highs. Part of me wants to accumulate more while the price is down, but I also wonder if we may see it drop further in the short term.
Every time is the right time to buy bitcoin, as long as you have the money you want to use, and the purpose of buying will play a major role in deciding if you are to buy or not. So you should not debate if you are to buy or not unless you have plans of not holding for long and are in search of quick profit.

Every little dip in Bitcoin price presents a new buying opportunity for those who want to dive into the market. You don't need to wait for it to get dipper before you can buy because you might never see it at that expect downward price as of the time you want it instead it might make a reverse and the market will start going up.

This your statement about every time is the right time to buy a bitcoin for me it’s also true for as far you have the capital to buy and to hold a bitcoin you will make your your profit.you can only loose in bitcoin holding when you sell your hold. So when you hold a coin as bitcoin with high values definitely when a long run you see your dividends in it rise.
Holding Bitcoin is its potential as a hedge against inflation and economic instability. Unlike traditional fiat currencies, which can be affected by factors such as government policies or central bank decisions, Bitcoin operates on a decentralized network and has a finite supply, capped at 21 million coins market supply not like other coins which is not static in it supply .This scarcity can potentially protect against currency devaluation caused by inflation in the crypto market space .
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Excessive Bitcoin fees on: April 12, 2024, 10:48:59 AM
What will happen when only large institutions can afford to use Bitcoin's blockchain, due to rising fees? Won't this centralize the network if most can only trade bitcoin on centralized exchanges?
This is an important point to talk about.there are a lot of reason why bitcoin fess is high, for instance where there’s a high network congestion , when there’s a lot of user engaging in the bitcoin transaction and exchanges and this can lead to high volume of transactions fees because of excessive activity on this.

Another one is excessive demand ,it’s a simple logic the more user engaging in it can cause blockage and when you need a faster way out to get access to a something you have to pay a high fess to get access it to so whatever you have to do with it. Bitcoin Halving can also result to Bitcoin block reward halving, which occurs approximately every four years, reduces the number of new bitcoins generated with each block. This can incentivize miners to prioritize transactions with higher fees to compensate for the reduced block rewards.so there a lot of reason for high bitcoin fees but it’s only discouraging it for peolpe or user with little capital and majorly making it for the company to enjoy it because of the high fees transaction costs.
3  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Time waits for nobody. on: April 12, 2024, 10:36:06 AM
My country people! Really time wait for nobody. Many of us here get skills but Lack the courage to work towards am. Say man of God prophesy to you say you go be the richest man for your family no mean say d dream must come true.

When your mate don meet up, you go come  dey envy them say na juju or na yahoo then dey do, were as you get that opportunity.

One na make I see result from people wey dey do am first before I go do. Na still time you dey waist.

And another na to find Fault in people. This person no dey gree help person, him dey greedy upon all the Money him get him no fit help me.

The country hard. 9ja na the survival of the fittest, so to make am you no need to do like your life depends on people. Work hard and you go see the results.

One fact about rich people be say Dem no dey like lazy people. That's why some people no ft get help from there uncle or friend. when dey see you Dem go dey hide because them no say na beg you wan come beg them. But if you dey hardworking, Dem go like to come close to you because They no say you no go beg them again.

So make we no dey procrastinate or too much depend on people because time waits for nobody

Thank you.

Omo very important topic nah e dy be this oh.we need to avoid the spirit of procrastination and take the bold step in doing things and not waiting for others or putting blames on or Hess saying he didn’t help out this way or that. You have to man up to fear not fail in this life or not to be talk about for doing something not correct in the society. Everyman stand to be correct in a good manner.
4  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerian street pranks and its effect. on: April 12, 2024, 10:31:43 AM
For we country, normally prank is supposed to be something of fun but people Don turn ahm into something wey fit make somebody to into serious trauma.  The kind of prank thus days on our street no good at all for the health especially for our  elderly mother and our father. This our contents creators they need to reduce the how expensive thus prank be because e fit cause serious problems to person wey dey fo through a lot for life. Some of this expensive prank fit lead to dead because fear dey kill human being,  they just need to take it easy before it gets them into problems that they will regret it.
Omo the them dy do am it’s very scary and bad.not considering someone mental health and society we are in. This can cause trauma to people which can even lead to suicidal thoughts and depression which is bad and all this content need to be addressed and given code of conduct and ethics on how this done.because not all this content creators have sense and even staging a lot of this stuff and not considering how our society is and which others will like to do it for real to others without considering some content creators stage of this content.
5  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: When last did you drank to stupol on: April 12, 2024, 10:26:29 AM
Being drunk is am awful feeling, in this  season of celebrations  and enjoyments don't get caught up by this act.

How funny it is to become unconscious by what you consciously use your own hand and put in your mouth.
You have to watch yourself and know your limit because it has so many negative effects,  many accident on the road are cause by people that are drunk.

Share your own experience or thought about this.

Omo my suggestion is that those that drink should drink responsibly and meaning when drinking we should in stage we can know what we are doing because we have lost a lot of good people because of this alcoholic excess dosage and which it’s scientifically good for our health when we overdose on it.and we should all know we all as human have different levels in drinking. Not because your friend drink 6 bottle you self won drink seld bottle because you senior am .thinking your head can handle it and not doing everyone has it limit in drinking.
6  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Never assume things, always Validate on: April 12, 2024, 10:17:56 AM
In P2P trading, assuming that your funds are in your account simply because the buyer confirmed sending it, or you got a credit alert has stripped lots of people their precious coins.
Assumptions can also lead to real loses when you make investment based on assumptions. There are many altcoins that can be tempting to invest in based on the hype from friends and some other strangers on the internet, it will be a terrible mistake for you to make assumptions on a coin before investing because then the risk on your investments increases.

E get one popular talk that year for school, assumptions na the mama of fuck up.
Omo I agree on this this your term oo,because I have engage in a business deal, based on assumptions about how it works and I invested with out doing my visibility studies about the business and how to market the product and seller to buy it.this how I got involve and Couldn’t do it because of poor knowledge and assumptions.had to sell the stock at low price which is everyday a loss as for me already but Since that day I alway try to do background and the authenticity of a project and information before I engage in it.
7  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Nigerian System of Education on: April 12, 2024, 10:07:42 AM
Our Nigeria education is nothing to write home about, looking from the primary to secondary sector first is a mess the government has fail to provide adequate facility for learning.even providing chairs and table is very poor, you see student sitting on the floor to learn.you can not have a good government school to put your child cause is waist of time.we thank God for private individuals that have private school to make education better.na the poor dey suffer cause they don't have money to pay for those private school.but if the government makes the government school better for learning it will help the system.
Seriously I concur with you write up about Nigeria we have nothing to write home about them.omo when you go to the government primary school and see the poor facilities and mismanagement and I don’t care attitude about the government towards them, then you will know why the tertiary education are suffering from,if the basic is not nothing to write home about what do you expect from the other ahead.  Nigeria have to sit up and take Nigeria education seriously and I don’t see why Nigeria education can not be free to it citizen, which I know it’s very possible to happen. But the senators all the care about is there allowance and allocation and private car to given.the senator have a good rule to play to help build this education system and not to be in this shame. That’s why someone can just wake up one morning and say school is scam because of this kind of nonsense and recklessness of the government.
8  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Avoid these crypto investment mistakes on: April 12, 2024, 10:01:32 AM
Hello fam, please read closely e get one wise quote, way I like so much " a stitch in time saves nine" for this investment game no body know everything all at once , we are all Learners , and trust me, we go continue to dey learn and also dey adapt as long as say na this investment game. Normally e get some mistakes way we dey make as investors normally , nine make I say make I bring them to the table so we go fit educate ourselves  and also improve our investment skills. The first most common investment  mistake way most of us dey make na

•un-diversified portfolio:  this one just dey like putting all your eggs in 😂 one basket. Which means say anything way sup for that basket go affect all your eggs. So make we try to spread our investment across other reasonable assets.  then another major investment mistake na

 • timing the market: This one done really affect many people, way be say them no dey fit hold investment or wait for the right time to invest. This matter way I dey talk so , done make some people sell some kind assets way them suppose hold for maturity too early, and also make some people go buy too early, so make we just allow the market do em thing, because these big moves way we dey find , to be honest, e dey take time.
And then the last major mistake na

•In-adequate research: This one na to dey make investment decisions without proper research and strategy, one thing we suppose know na say we need to understand how this thing works, no be magic, we need to go into comprehensive research to get the best out of our investments.
One thing I know for sure before engaging in a crypto trading or investment you need to have the basic foundation about the smart money and not an inform person in the crypto system.you need to have done your visibility studies to know how it work and done your background check and research and your should know making mistakes help us to learn but there are some mistakes that cost a lot and we can loss a lot and not been able to recover.so Atleast let have the the basic knowledge before engaging in anything crypto trading or investing.we have to be crucial about that because of how the market system work.
9  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: HOW ILLITERACY AFFECT BITCOIN INVESTMENT/DISCUSSION on: April 12, 2024, 09:53:44 AM
My people e just come to my notice say unemployment for don reduce for naija if many people were educated and informed about Bitcoin. There is a saying that Education is the key to success. But people wey no go school dey See who go school  as a waste of time and effort because of hard economy. And tag it "school na scam".

School no be scam. Who no go school don  scam himself ful time. I dey always talk am say the  C.E.O of Facebook (Mack zugarberg) for don rich pass as e dey now if many people been go school.

E dey always hungry many people to join bitcoin discussion or BTC investment and many other online businesses. But e no easy. If you check the rate of illiteracy for my country naija you go see say e plenty.

So wetting ona go fit talk for this kind thing my people? Or wetting b the way forward.
First of all, school no be scam and it has never been a scam, because even the yahoo boyz wey bring up this slang, if you no go school, I bet you you go fit scam a 5yrs old pikin, talkless of an educated white man or woman. So scam has never been a scam, because despite the economic hardship wey dey this country, you go notice say it's always easy for educated people to fine good paying jobs (either online or physical) than the illiterate ones, and example is this forum signature campaign, whereby it only take an educated person to fit into this kind of job, hereby making it remain a nightmare for those who never went to school.

However, from research i'm made to understand that it's only 31% of the total Nigerian population is said to be illiterate, and as such it means the number of educated people are far more than the illiterate ones

Nigeria’s illiteracy rate is now 31%, says FG

I agree with you that school is not a scam. When you have the education and knowledge you are already a step ahead of somebody which is educated and not been in a four building to learn.ans when you talk about opportunities you are already more experienced and exposed to be able to do things in life .but looking at someone who’s educated and rational in Thinkin will be able to advance in about bitcoin knowledge when it first comes out but someone who’s not educated it will take him a lot of time to be to understand what there are even talking about it the bitcoin and any crypto market.thats why even you are educated or have some level of communication skill to write and express your self even the forum will be difficult for you to cope.
10  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Practice makes perfect on: April 12, 2024, 09:48:30 AM
Good day my country people, when I newly enter this forum I been dey find am am difficult to write properly in English as English no be our first language, dem don even tell me say this place na only for people wey dey fluent for English but I talk say I no go give up because if I give up na me still lose. I still never dey fluent but I don see some newbies wey I pass but they still manage to do their thing with their heads up high so who am I not to do the same, I have seen that the more the I post and navigate the forum the more perfect my writing skills as practice makes perfect. In essence the message I dey try pass be say, if you want to be good at something you have to keep doing it regardless of how many times you have failed while doing it or regardless of the criticism you have gotten from friends. Never put yourself down that you are not good enough for anything.
This forum go beyond just you writing fluently but more about rationality in thinking and understanding a subject matter to be able to apply your knowledge to response to talk in the forum.you can see someone which is very fluently but still writing rubbish which don’t have any impact or knowledge to give out and which is bad in the forum.we need to be able to pass information with our good fluency in English to help build others, because learning is a every day kind of a thing to know .
11  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: POWER OF CORRUPTION on: April 12, 2024, 09:44:38 AM
Corruption has been rooted in us for so long that it can't be reshaped now. Greed is the core root of corruption which equally means that we all have our inbuilt corruption that is quiet exposed as soon as we come in contact with the catalyst. and what are the catalyst of corruptions? there are so many e.g power, money etc so we can't concluded one catalyst as the cause of corruption in any country.
Sometimes I wonder what are the odds and possibility that Nigeria itself can be a free from corruption and so many other problems that faces the nation as a country. The number one  problem that is in this country is mainly corruption and when we say corruption, this one is has eaten deep into the heart of every man and woman in the  country and that's because we Nigerians used and see every opportunity as a chance to get the other person.
When you talk about the context of Nigeria it will be very difficult because Nigeria have been built on the system of bad governance.since the time of Nigeria been govern by region.where by north have a centralized system of governance and the east having a decentralize.Nigeria corruption can be traced to colonial master giving power and control to rule over each to the region which is loyal to them.
12  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: POWER OF CORRUPTION on: April 12, 2024, 09:41:10 AM
Power is accompanied with corruptible corruptions which has the influential potentials to dominate ones personal being or interests but it requires pernal wisdoms to uphold the toxication to take charge over ones obtained power.
Political power can be exercised through various means, including coercion, persuasion, negotiation, or manipulation. That’s true and absolute power also corrupt absolutely.because when there is no check and balance of power.people holding this power can undo and do. That’s why someone who has powr can make you do things out of your own decisions and will but to his own benefit without other’s benefit in the society.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: how to survive inflation and economy hardship on: April 11, 2024, 09:15:45 PM
Sometimes looking towards increment in salary wouldn't solve our problems.Over the years there has been hardship in the economy all over the world, and people complain on how to increase there salary or have other alternatives of getting more funds, and even when they get what they desire, they still complain that since their source of income has increased, there expenses has also increased. But I think that people needs to control the way they spend, in other to be able to save more. If paraventure we decided to spend according to how we earn without reducing the level of spending, we may end up not being productive.

For me cutting down expenses would be another way of adding value to our money. Like cutting down the rate we eat, for those that spend alot on food, you can do better without over eating. the way we buy unnecessary items that has no value, when we have other useful things to do with money. So  lets focus on the top priorities, expecially things that will bring more Money.

What do you guys think about this? Would this be helpful? And what do you think will help us in this time of economic hardship?

Am sorry I have to change the topic of discussion from how to reduce inflation to how to survive inflation and economic hardship sudjested by sokani.
When talking about increment of salary can’t help economy hardship or inflation but rather still increase the price in market the more.when tackling Surviving economic hardship requires a combination of practical strategies and mindset adjustments.for instance Budgeting,Create a realistic budget to track your expenses and prioritize essential items.
Emergency money, Save up an emergency fund to cover unexpected expenses or loss of income.

When also looking at this we have to reduce expenses, we need toCut down on non-essential expenses such as dining out or subscriptions. And a very important one is debt management,Prioritize paying off high-interest debt and consider consolidating or negotiating lower interest rates and which is bad in a system where there is hardship in the economy. Again we can also look at side hustle to make extral money to help your self and not relying on only on means of income but by diversification of ways of making money in the economy when there’s a hardship in the economy.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? on: April 11, 2024, 09:03:50 PM
Ive been hearing about situations where someone buys a coin for a certain rate and not quite long after,  the said coin drops in value, or  someone sells his coin for a certain rate and then it appreciates just after.
What's your take on this? Given the period we're in is it buy time or sell time?
When you talk about Bitcoin is often considered a strongest investment option for different ways and buying and selling in a long run is very important in bitcoin. Let take it was the first cryptocurrency and remains the most widely recognized and accepted, giving it greater liquidity and market stability compared to other cryptocurrencies around the crypto space

Bitcoin has a limited supply, with only 21 million coins ever to be mined, which can potentially drive up its value over time due to scarcity. Additionally, Bitcoin is often seen as a store of value and a hedge against inflation, making it attractive to investors seeking to diversify their holdings.me I prefer to hold bitcoin and sell in the long run because it worth all it take to gain from it in a long run.

The issuance of anonymity-enhancing crypto are banned under the Emirate's new regulations for digital assets.
The mandate of licensing for crypto companies in Dubai is made  for several reason and for me it’s make sure there is continuous and reliability. This policies help to ensures compliance with regulatory standards, fostering trust and stability in the crypto market. it helps prevent fraud and illegal activities, safeguarding investors and the financial system.when you talk about financial systems cases of fraud are very crucial and important to handle with the of country Dubai practice it system of governance and accountability.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency is silent why? on: April 10, 2024, 02:08:00 PM
For some months, cryptocurrency is in a down falling trend which is the main cause.
Cryptocurrency has been down falling and quite because cryptocurrencies is a decentralized systems operates on decentralized networks, meaning transactions occur directly between users without the need for intermediaries like banks, resulting in a quieter financial system.

Ways of Transactions are encrypted in code and conducted, giving us as users a degree of privacy and reducing the need for public announcements. Cryptocurrency allows for transactions to occur 24/7 across different time zones, with users conducting business at their convenience, often without generating noise or disruption in the crypto space without having much challenge.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: April 08, 2024, 11:21:42 AM
Bitcoin is headed to $100,000 and that's not speculation. OK, maybe it is, but the 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K challenge is real and has been echoing throughout the community for a week now, so I thought I would make a thread here for those of us who want to try and hold ourselves accountable.

The first video that comes up when you do a quick search for this is Jae from Proof of Work Fitness, so I'll give him credit for kicking off this trend until someone corrects me with better information.  You can see his video about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPrsA7gBc3U

I myself started this challenge on 2/2/24 and hope to inspire other Bitcoiners to take this step to help build some muscle in the community.

Here's a video showing you what happens to your body after doing 100 push-ups a day for a month and gives some tips on proper form: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euPXf2hqU3s

My only real tips would be to not worry about trying to do 100 push-ups at once.  Break them down into as small of sets as you need to keep from hurting yourself.  I also prefer doing push-ups on my knuckles as I think it saves my wrists from a lot of stress.

If 100 a day is too much, maybe try to start with whatever "K" the Bitcoin price is at and work your way up to 100 along with Bitcoin.  Smiley

Who's in?!?!?

This post it’s a such a very relevant topic to work with your day to day life .after starting press up from scratch because it’s been a long time I have done it .i started it from and little it has been to build my mental health to endure 😣, it has help my sexual life with my girlfriend.my girlfriend even make compliments after making love her and it has also help in building my physical wellbeing as a person.with time now I can do upto 70 push up at a spot and we await the rice of bitcoin to 100k very soon to the top.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: The benefits of risk taking on: April 08, 2024, 11:11:49 AM
Risk is when a person is exposing him/her self to dangers, possibility of incurring loss or misfortune
So many people run away from business opportunities just because they fear they will run into loose and didn't want to take such risk
I have come to the realization that the word risk is part of life and that it is better you take part in it than not
From history it has been said that the great entrepreneur and business men/woman where all risk takers when you take risk you throw your self to the real of possibilities
In this life you have to be able to make some decisions what making a better change in your life to achieve what you want for example, to build or grow your self you need to take risk and leaving of your comfort, innovation and creativity, increase confidence, adaptability and barriers breaking.this above a just little of the benefit to achieve when taking a risk in your career or life as a human .

I agree with the op of this post that taking risk is part of growth, as there is a popular saying that, “He who fails to take risk, already risk to fail” this saying is just trying to say that, for growth to happen, there must be some level of risk and the higher your risk, the higher your gain.
19  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Can't we stand up to defend our right? on: April 07, 2024, 10:10:39 AM
There is something that has become a serious concern to me and I can't help but share it here. It's about how the military and security agencies treats most youth on the street just because they dress or look a certain way that appear rich. There had been several instances where an average youth had been molested and his privacy infringed upon just because of the way he dresses and sometimes because he is driving an expensive car. Should we now dress messy or board a public vehicle when we have the means of driving our own?

What informed this topic is the incident that I witnessed while returning from work this evening where a young guy was heavily slapped and embarrassed just because he dresses a certain way and when he was stopped and asked to unlock his phone he refused doing so and told them they where infringing om his privacy.

Is it even right for the police to forcefully attempt getting access into our mobile device? Isn't that an infringement on our privacy?
Nigeria case no be small case oo… why majority of people can’t stand up to the because someone on fire arm have to be respect and been follow gentle so he don’t just kill and say it’s a criminal which the caught doing something and normal can be said to defend or to protect there bad act and character.we should try to avoid some problem and do some little coperation with them.but normally police aim are to protect life and property..but now there action have gone beyond, but trying to extort money from hustling youths even with the low employment in the country.
20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: School fees hike on: April 07, 2024, 09:20:41 AM

My fellow Nigerians una good day SIRs and MAs, I come with one matter way they worry all the students for 9ja, this matter don rise but e com worst as this man way them they call am JAGABAN become the president.
The thing be say school fees done increase to the level way be say some students way their parents no get money, them done quit school because no money to afford the school fees.
As I never see any discussion about this school fees matter nai make me raise the alarm, because plenty of us nah 9ja students, abi we no hear say 2 days ago protest happen for the university of LAG (Lagos State University)? This one nah the unilag protest link, and the worst part of the matter be say even the police men beat up students.
Students they vex how this man go just come one day increase school fees reach the amount of money way e reach to buy some piece of land for some local areas, abi e good like that?
Nigeria cases it’s not a small issue, firstly our major problem is leadership, political system: the politicians. The don’t give the Nigeria education system focus on improvement and development.when even budget of 1.5 trillion naira is set for Nigeria for development there’s no check and balance of the account how the money is spent at all.this politicians don’t care because there student are sent outside the country to school and which is bad for us.with out considering the masses the just increase or inflate price of school without out caring out a survey and how the country and hardship is in the country.so Nigeria still need to go under seriou restructuring to be able to succeed and have to pass this trying times.
