1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 04, 2023, 08:57:26 AM
I also stopped betting (or basically reduced by 99%).
Easy? For me, definitely. Maybe because I've always bet for fun and when I saw that I was "stressed" by the outcome of the bets (regardless of their difficulty or amount played) well in that specific moment I understood that that "period" was over.

Making an income from gambling takes no small effort (at least to have a "substantial" income).
all those who "minimize" this aspect have simply never tried it and don't realize how complex it is in the long run.
1302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 04, 2023, 08:44:51 AM
Schwartzman will play against Sinner... 3 matches have been played and all 3 times Sinner has won! (Last this year in Barcellona - Clay surface).
Sinner is very confident in grass surface so probably it can be an easy match for him, specially if he will be in a good fit.

Yesterday disappointing loss for FAA Roll Eyes this year has been really disappointing for him Sad
Interesting win by Wawrinka, he was quoted as underdog (up to 3.50) but he was able to overcome the match against Ruusuvuori.

Everything ready for Alcaraz, it's very hard he will face trouble against Chardy Roll Eyes
1303  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Butcoin locking on: July 04, 2023, 07:36:32 AM
I remember two solutions, the first which you can implement in total autonomy with a timelock (here the link from the bitcoin wiki).
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Timelock

The second option you can implement with a "GREEN" function (formerly known as greenaddress).
Basically you can set an address to send bitcoins to / in case a certain amount of time passes.
https://blockstream.com/green/

Additionally, a wallet could be built by adding passwords or extra word seeds that would be shared later to an initial seed...

1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: July 02, 2023, 05:17:33 PM
If someone claimed they have the right strategy for gambling and winning more times than losing, why can't they use the strategy for themselves and change their lives first?
A successful gambler is able to earn an amount from 7-15% of the total yearly-wager.
Do you play a total of 100k USD ? Ok you will win 15K USD max.
Of course there are exceptions (and lucky or unlucky moments) but in general this is what happens.

As you can imagine these are not life changing numbers, and there are absolutely people who bet just for themselves. For example, do you know the betfair premium charge?
It is clear that there are a number of operators who are able to earn significantly higher figures than those stated above, but we are referring to 0.5% of total bettors!
https://support.betfair.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6156/~/premium-charge---what-is-it%3F-will-i-need-to-pay-it%3F#:~:text=The%20premium%20charge%20is%20an,and%20meet%20a%20certain%20criteria.
You really don't find those figures life changing? Assuming you're a daily gambler, you can quite easily roll over 100 times your bankroll in one year. It means you can reach this 100k USD wagered mark with only a 1000$ bankroll. Winning 15 000$ or 10k from 1000$ is just huge. Especially because the next year you will be able to multiply your bankroll with this money and make 30k or 40k instead of 10 or 15k...
Just to clarify, 15k usd doesn't change your life (at least in the EU or western countries).
But It should be keept in mind that generating this amount takes an amount of time like a part time job (you have to study the odds, you have to study the events, you have to place/follow bets... pretty much any day of the week including nights)... Why not Just find another side job (probably much safer and lesa stressful?
Essential ...you must be good gambler!
we are already talking about excellent profits...
People that decide to make this "career" trying to reach other profits and they are using other stakes...
1308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Less than 300 days left to halving - price predictions for The Day? on: July 02, 2023, 01:15:40 PM
historically (from my memory) before an halving occurred, the price is not in a moment of "pump" but this occurs immediately some months after.
for this halving I wouldn't be surprised at a price of around 35/36K dollars (bear in mind we have already a +60% in 6 months!)
this does not mean that higher prices are not possible (I see it as less likely)...

My question for you my friends is are there sport betting groups that gives betting calls that are legit? Because I believe that if anyone knows a way to change their life around, they won't tell anyone, they will enjoy the moments and pray it last forever.

In general, in these years that I have been following gambling activities(about 20-30) I have met practically only 1 of these groups that had "at least an appearance" of serious activity.
Obviously their income falls into the first group, nothing absurd, otherwise they will not share Wink
I believe that it is "convenient" to offer this information because they earn from subscriptions, affiliations, advertising on their sites, in short, it is an interesting way to maximize their profits.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 02, 2023, 12:48:32 PM
...
Yes, the gambling sites have our age data through the KYC documents. Do they ever restrict anyone who is underage to not to gamble?
Also, if we find any site allowing minors to gamble, can legal action be taken against them?
...

It's like websites for adult "You have 18 years old" "YES" ok get in...
In most gambling sites that doesn't requires a "forced" KYC from the scratch it's something the same... well if you lose no one will going to ask nothing but in some cases and some win... you must complete a KYC.
I remember a story of a player that was playing at 17. KYC requested due an high win and he provides document (real ones) just because he was going to get 18 on a couple of weeks! How it ended?
Win seized and account closed Wink !
1311  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for Website Recommendations on: July 02, 2023, 12:42:24 PM
When a casino site reduces your rewards it is because things are not going well...

Or the opposite! They are earning enough/have built a big fan base and not enough affiliation to be payed!
By the way, if I can give my 2 satoshi, always use "reputable" and well known site (in the past I used betfair.com affiliation...) and regarding betnomi yes currently it seems there are some issues and this is not the best moment to join their affiliation program.
To OP= how did you get so many registrations? Did you have a specific advertisement? Can you share with us?
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 01, 2023, 03:43:41 PM
Cerundolo confirms himself in excellent form and he has just wins the Eastbourne tournament...
Today's match against Paul has been something balanced (except in the second set where the Argentinian lost 6-1). Paul's only distraction in the third set conceded the break point and practically "opened" the way for Cerundolo win...
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How is your Gambling Pattern Like? on: July 01, 2023, 03:07:30 PM
Do you set aside specific times each day or week for gambling?
If you enjoy sports betting, do you bet on games throughout the week whenever they're available?
Absolutely not. Bets are placed when needed, so it's can be each day (like during a tournament...) or just in some days (not important what day is). This can include also a long time of no betting!
If you're betting to maximize your win ratio, and you want avoid the "addiction" trap you must avoid these "betting days". Just bet when you are SURE of win.

When it comes to visiting casinos, do you play at one today or this week and then try out a different one the next time you want to gamble?
I don't visit casinos, I haven't that money. I play sometimes btc casino that allow microbets. these amounts are really low (less than a coffee) so I don't care to have a schedule on this...

As for bankroll management, do you track it using an app, Excel, or any other methods?
Yes. I count all data possible (tournament, event played, outcome etc etc)...

And regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere?
When I place a bet I don't watch or listen anything because concentration is all.

Feel free to check my topic about betting suggestion (and a little explanation of my experience in this field).

1315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Friendly Match is Hard to Predict on: July 01, 2023, 09:03:40 AM
....
For gambling, I think that friendly matches are really not worth the trouble, but as long as you only intend to find entertainment by risking money on the match, then it's okay even if the results are not as expected.

I would agree, but up to a certain point... because starting from mid-July and early August there will be friendly matches for team teams and not (only) for national teams. Each year I watch with interest and I have also placed some (small) bets...
this is a really interesting season moment because many of these teams (even if of high-level) have a lack of preparation and playing against opponents with better physical shape... Roll Eyes
see below 11 matches and at least 6 "uncommon" results...(if you count also GG or under 2,5 ... there are more "uncommon results"...

1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Crypto Games) A revolution in the gaming industry or a passing trend? on: July 01, 2023, 08:52:47 AM
I was going to ask the same! What is a crypto game? Roll Eyes

Generally speaking I think that: Blockchain related businesses/games are in their "infancy" and so far we are only seeing "primitive/naive" applications.

For sure, any system that DO NOT require a third party, which introduce a new concept of "trust" through the use of blockchain, it is clear that will be the future or at least an innovation destined to remain and probably to gain more importance over the time.

thanks for share and I wish you good luck! however, I have some questions/doubts....

why bet with so "large" amount?  turning 40K to 4 millions .... has an implied chance of 1 on 100 to be succeeded!
have you tried before something like this? are you aware of these stats?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5430063.msg61481101#msg61481101
sicuro ce ne sono altre (credo che fosse legato alla possibilità di poterle poi rivendere sugli exchange).

Ovviamente, ciò non toglie che sia un progetto "molto discutibile"

1320  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: June 30, 2023, 03:25:01 PM
as already mentioned by other users, I don't think this is the real risk (lost 6000 USD).
If I remember correctly KYC checks are managed directly by stake or by a third party?
In any case, I'm probably only seeing some misunderstandings and it's only a matter of time (and some clarification) that this issue can be fixed.

it would also nice if someone from your country has passed tier 3/4 KYC (maybe it should be asked directly in stake forum...)
