1081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Give Him a loan Or Partner With Him on: September 04, 2023, 04:01:18 PM
every loan must have collateral! even if it come from a friend or a parent.
Personally I don't care what a friend will do with this money, I care about getting it back.
But this depends also the amount he has requested... in this case, if "friendship" and "gambling addiction" compete, the loan is released on the basis of which of these two aspects will prevail...
1082  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unethical Practices: Involvement of Bots and Fake Accounts for contest/race on: September 04, 2023, 03:58:05 PM
however, it would be interesting to see these reports as well and not just read the allegations and the final verdict.
Here the unethical practices... is this topic because without such essential information it is not possible to understand anything about the story, and this topic does not even make much sense to exist (besides the fact that it should be placed in the scam accusation section Roll Eyes )
1083  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Stake.com Hot wallet robbed for 16Million + usd on: September 04, 2023, 03:30:30 PM
Interesting, thanks for share, I have noticed their message on telegram
Well personally, I would wait a declaration made by site owners before claiming any assumption on this on-chain movement, or at least if there is any official news/source around that to confirm this was a real hack and not just some coins moved from their wallets...

Biggest robbery from a crypto casino so far?

probably yes
1084  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you risking investment in other things? on: September 03, 2023, 08:17:14 PM
There is a halving coming next year to which many people who know and have bitcoins have set a target of the amount they hope to have in their holding by the time the bull run begins. I like to know if with this knowledge of bitcoin halving coming, if anyone is investing in anything other than bitcoins. I do not mean alt-coin but things like Real Estate, stocks, bonds etc. I know that Real Estate is good to invest in, but asides real estate, what else are you risking the money you should to invest more in bitcoins on?

there are several way to invest. in some cases real estates have a great revaluation over the time... meanwhile stocks or etf are liquid investment easy to trade and so on...

what I have noticed in the last period is the importance of using deposit accounts or "bonds (company or government)" to deposit liquidity FIAT.
due to inflation it is easy to lose half of the purchasing power in a few years... probably these system provide a general less risky and more liquid option than other similar investments.

1087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is horse racing so unpopular here and a bit of extra feedback on: September 03, 2023, 05:52:24 PM
Aside from the big festivals, horse racing is mostly managed at a Country level.
Here in Italy, there are very few bookmakers that offer odds for foreign markets, often very bad and obviously without an exchange....

I see more or less the same in the crypto sector.
Few bookmakers that offer these odds, practically none offer exchange bets...
in short, the sport by definition linked to betting is not worthily represented Sad anymore and as I can see there are few people that follow such races.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A typical weekend in sport betting-Why do gamblers still do sport bets? on: September 03, 2023, 04:16:28 PM
"if we all think/predict an outcome on the same way, we wouldn't have horse racing!"

This sentence is enough to explain the whole phenomenon of gambling, in a simple way!
I also believe that in certain sports and at certain levels surprise is always possible precisely because there is high competition. Likewise the 100 meters finals at the Olympics games, the time difference between the finalists is always negligible...

People keep betting because they think they can predict the outcome of an event and be more smarter than bookmaker.
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 03, 2023, 04:04:53 PM
In the next match, Matteo Arnaldi is going to face Alcaraz. That is definitely going to be a very difficult match for him to win. I definitely do not think that he will actually be able to win that match because Alcaraz is the number one tennis player in the world right now. So even though he was able to beat Cameron Norrie, I believe he is definitely not going to beat Alcaraz.

I watched several of Matteo Arnaldi's matches several times, and I can say that he will be a player who can provide quite strong resistance to Alcaraz, but when checking at the bookies it seems that Carlos Alcaraz will very easily finish this match @ 1.01, but if Arnaldi plays a game of tennis At best it's very possible it will be 4 sets but still for Alcaraz to win
...

Well, at this odd @1.01 is much much more convenient try to get the impossible odd of a win of Arnaldi!
This guy has won against Ruud this year, he is only 20 years old...I don't see any chance for a win so yes Alcaraz to win in 4 sets could be a potential option...
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 02, 2023, 06:30:04 PM
I would suggest to pay attention also in Arnaldi vs Norrie match live right now. The Italian guy is leading the match 2 set at 0.
in third set he has won one break point and he is leading the match 3-0.
Norrie was the strong favorite of the match... it would be interesting a come back (current odd @6.25).
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Behaviours of gamblers you dislike. on: September 02, 2023, 08:04:41 AM
I can't stand the following behaviors:
- gamblers who have to give suggestions even if not requested.
- gamblers who make senseless bets and then complain that they lose.
- gamblers who can't stand the pressure of a bet.

...
its really ridiculous if we see people doing rituals but the result is the same as being unlucky and losing all the money but after all its a personal belief we can not prevent it but if it happens beside me maybe I prefer to go somewhere to find another empty table.

I believe that although there is nothing logical about these actions Roll Eyes these are part of human nature Smiley
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: September 02, 2023, 07:21:48 AM
in all activities where a "risk and gain" is possible or there is "a lot of fun behind", it is right to be clear about the objectives to be achieved or just what is the limit. I find such an approach absolutely normal.
In this way there is a "normal" approach to gambling.
Like any fun activity it should be conducted without particular stresses that may concern an "addiction" or excessive spending.
1093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Socialtournaments-A way to stop gambling addiction on: September 02, 2023, 06:55:38 AM
nice and interesting idea! also interesting that it is offered by a casino-games provider.

Is there any scientific evidence that such a system really offers an alternative against gambling addiction, or is it simply a way to continue playing without wasting money?  Roll Eyes
1094  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why do members switch campaigns always? on: September 02, 2023, 06:11:28 AM
how it was answered correctly by @_act_ , this depends on an economic motivation or in general for personal advantage of participant (likewise, maybe a signature requires fewer messages to write or accepts posts from more sections or simply a certain service is about to close)...

1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 30, 2023, 08:52:45 PM
A really close match between Tsitsipas and Stricker. Each of the 4 sets was hard fought and currently it looks better for Stricker in set number 5. 5:2 for him. Who would have thought that the number 128 from Switzerland would possibly beat Tsitsipas?
And for Djokovic, it seems that Round 2 comes to a fast end.

Edit:  Stricker won the match.

What a match!
More then 4 hours of heavy battle with the Greek players always favorite in the first part of the match.
US Open isn't his bet tournament for sure... and option cashout it's always a suitable option Wink

Curious event: Italian speaker during the match has commented many many times that Stricker is a very nice player that deserve a better placemente in ATP ranking... let's see next match, today he has been really strong.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=313900.msg62017010#msg62017010

@bastisisca
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Constant wins in the casino for several days, then constant losses. Noticed?! on: August 30, 2023, 06:21:33 PM
Casino games give a certain payout based on how much is played. Each game has its own payout, the so-called RTP, and is largely random.

I think (and must be clear as general rule) that most of the times these are unrelated results from previous games, but obviously, if a game has paid much more or much less, in the long time the game experience will provide more or less winning games.
1098  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet - account closure request not satisfacted on: August 30, 2023, 12:04:57 PM
well I think that they answer is somewhat reasonable.... but if your issue is related to gambling addiction you must move all your funds in multisignatures cold wallets.
Add some lock in your browser with keywords or just websites (such apps requires very long password to unlock).
Meanwhile try to fund some helps by gambling addicts group (even on line, just try to search on line) or with a medical doctor.
