yes i have cleared that with them and their attitude is if it works great and if it doesn't great too/
A little OT for here, but why do you intend to use an online/hosted wallet instead of offline/owned wallet?
|
|
|
does this pool allow online wallets?
AFAIK there is no restriction on what sort of wallet you receive your payouts to.
|
|
|
Why would people want to attack BAN or f2pool?

And, another thing about losing power...it messed up my BTC chain. Anybody got a recent bootstrap.dat file? The ones online are old.
not avisable anymore. should be as fast or faster to just let bitcoind or the qt wallet do its magic. Assuming he's on the 0.10.x core. Prior to that, it's still better to use the bootstrap. Explain how you chain got messed up, Capn? Maybe you could try fixing with a rescan? That is an assumption I made.

Can't wait for Philipma1957 review ^_^
This ^ Okay I will start a consolidated review thread (as requested by sidehack) We can all post to it and keep the thread down to one. My worst skill is the software setup and others will get that done better then me. The idea of one central thread is best. I will title it as : The combined sidehack-novak usb stick review thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1086011.new#newIt is locked but up. +1 Would love to contribute if iI get the chance to review some hw.

Load balance worked like a charm with my ASIC Miner Tubes. Wanna buy them? haha

Sorry about hijacking your thread, I'm honestly interested in buying the miners, but for some reason the market for used miners is frankly outrageous. For some reason people seem to think these should sell for what they were originally priced at new or in some cases even more (ebay.com).
I've got more power being delivered next week to my small hosting space, when that's delivered, I'll make an offer, but I'm thinking in the ~300 per range, if that's not something the seller would be interested in at all, I understand, but I think paying more than that for used gear when next gen is around the corner is crazy.
....Around the corner...... Really? You mean possibly at the end of the year!? On here people KNOW the prices and market, so no need to low ball or mis-lead with prices you could never fill yourself. I understand buying low, sell high, but when you try to back your comments with fake info, it just makes you look......like an ahole. If someone doesn't like the prices, MOVE ON. I think its a fair point that S5s can be had for around 375 shipped, new, from the manufacturer. Edit: this isn't the thread I thought it was where someone was asking 375 + shipping for used S5s. Commentary: I don't see why everyone gets upset on these boards when prices are negotiated. It's just business. If someone offers an "unfairly" low price, don't sell to them. If someone asks an "unfairly" high price, don't buy from them. It a that simple. Prices are only "wrong" when transactions aren't made. As for trying to convince the other party to change what they are bidding/asking, that's fair game of course. And if you use speculation or made up "info" in an attempt to do so, you will lose credibility and come off as a dumbass. These miners are only "worth" what buyers are willing to pay for them. They are still profitable to mine with for the most part, so you have to assume the seller needs liquidity sooner than expected or they are bearish on mining profitability going forward. Buyers are obviously bullish on mining profitability going forward. Of course economic factors are not the only factors. There may be collectors or hobbyists who are motivated by other factors than profitability. Commentary TL;DR: free markets are complicated. Don't take it personal and get upset with how they function. Edit 2: apologies for the rant and hijacking the thread. Back to our regularly scheduled sale then.

now the good stuff goes on sell to late and i would have meet you some place two days ago i live in Maryland no cash right now just bought a S5 and got a second one kind of free used .
If you'd rather have a tube instead of the S5s I'll gladly trade, if they work... I'm good one does the other doesn't but I'm talking with Bitmain for parts so can't complain. but if I had seen this two days ago i would have bought it and meet you some place . just small talk and a day late and dollar short. there is a place in Canada i can get replacement board for the tub. kind of cheap but the S5 are better to me but this was a deal you have sigh wish i had it seen it sooner . Yeah I saw WTCR.ca has boards for sale but I thought they are overpriced.

Potentially selling my mining rig. 1.2 BTC for the whole kit. Includes:
- 1 complete Tube
- 1 partial Tube (has 3/4 boards... The missing board was DoA and I shipped it back to Hong Kong but ASICMiner / friedcat disappeared before I could finalize the RMA)
- original fans for both tubes
- 1 BE UART controllers (only need 1 controller to run this setup)
- All required wires
- Molex power cable for the controller
- USB-UART adapter (allows flexibility to run over USB to a PC, laptop, RPi, etc and control via cgminer)
This setup hashes at around 1440 GH/S. Power consumption will vary based on PSU, but is rated at 0.9J/GH at the board and I've found that to be accurate based on my PSU efficiency.
The Tubes are fully assembled, which is a huge bonus because each tube required approximately a billion screws.
Shipping is extra. Escrow requested. Located in Washington DC metro area and willing to meet in person.
Also willing to part out individual pieces of this setup but haven't put much thought into pricing. If you're interested in that route, make an offer here or by PM.

I think I have a spare. Send me a pm.

I don't know if I had as far as a gap, but I've had great success with wireless AC bridging using the TPLink Archer C7. Previously used power line as well and it worked. Have also used MoCA, which creates an ethernet on coaxial cable.

If the version you last compiled is working, what features would you need from the new version? Why not stick to that one? Regressions are usually worth looking into. You're comparing it to a different codebase. As far as I'm aware, the blockerupter code that was contributed by them to mainline cgminer NEVER worked. None of the main devs ever got any hardware from them to get it working and they never contributed fixes to make sure it was working. I don't go chasing code from other people's branches to get mainline cgminer working with hardware from manufacturers that never really engaged the software community they depend on but I'm very happy to receive fixes from outside sources if they're willing to maintain it. The avalon nano and the blockerupter drivers both fall into the "submitted but broken code" category I'm afraid. Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that it worked at some point. I'll just use the working version from the blockerupter repo.

Is there any way to get a security card for an original HW card so that it can be used with the ledger wallet chrome app?
You should be able to create one in the firmware update process.
|
|
|
This is a long shot, but any chance you would sell a single board from one of the tubes?

|
|
Cool. It's not a must have for me personally at this moment, but it will certainly make things easier.
