1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GP] GoldPieces - An expandable digital currency for online gaming on: January 20, 2015, 07:59:01 PM
Can someone add me on skype and guide me on how to split the blocks???

To start with a clean address do this:

  • Create a new receiving address.
  • Go to settings/options/Display tab
  • Check "Display coin control features (experts only)
  • Click OK
  • Click "send coins button"
  • Click "inputs button"
  • select the "list mode" radio button"
  • Sort by Amount
  • check the bigger inputs you want to split
  • Click OK
  • paste your newly created receving address
  • send the coin amount at the desired size input you want ie: 200 or 100 etc

repeat this:

  • Click "inputs button"
  • select the "list mode" radio button"
  • Sort by Amount
  • check the bigger inputs you want to split
  • Click OK
  • paste your newly created receving address
  • send the coin amount at the desired size input you want ie: 200 or 100 etc

The transaction should appear as "payment to yourself" do a test tx first. Keep your newly created address on your clipboard to make it more practical cause it can be tedious

#8 on the richlist, compare the stake rewards to the higher ranking addresses - she's flying! compared to the other wallets.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GP] GoldPieces - An expandable digital currency for online gaming on: January 20, 2015, 07:13:58 PM
What I've seen so far:

Started with 500gp inputs, they staked and were split in half resulting in 250+ stake rewards, then ~125+ stake rewards and are now ~62.5 + stake rewards.

The rewards from the initial 500gp inputs were very low @ less than 1 coin - the 250 inputs yielded bigger rewards, the 125 bigger etc. - They are getting bigger with each round they stake and split.

I'm currently waiting for the (62.5 + rewards) inputs to mature.

So these 500gp inputs are being split in half after they stake, maybe in a short time they'll be so small that they'll yield a very insignificant amount and the bigger rewards will keep going for a longer period of time before eventually adding up to the 500% total.

So with the savings account example someone mentioned, it doesn't mean that your $100 deposit is giving you more interest than your $500, it means that you are getting the interest faster on the smaller account but at the end of the year the total interest will be the same 500% on your deposit.

DISCLAIMER: I'm obviously not a mathematician or coder, this are just my observations and uneducated guesses. I'm happily staking and with the above method I think my wallet is the better performer on the richlist.

36 hours age 1.6 reward 99 coins staked

Yeah thats staking properly Roll Eyes

I can't believe some of you think the rewards are right. Staking is working well, the payments are not.

Again think about it, if you open 2 bank accounts at 5% interest rate deposit $100 in one and $10000 in the other you wouldn't get more interest on the $100 would you

Hopefully the mystery behind GP staking will be solved... Tongue

Staking perfectly fine for me here still. Rewards seem to be getting a little bigger but that could just be network fluctuation

Send me a link on the chain from ANY wallet with a stake reward of over 2.5. Would love to see it.

Been reading through this thread regarding staking... you guys have to consider the compounding rate of your coins. It'll be wayyy more than 500% increase in coins if this compounds daily. The formula for compounding interest is A=P(1+(i/N)^NY.

Variables P is present supply,i is interest/annum, N is the number of compounding periods, and Y is the duration of staking.

Do the math:
A = 750000(1+5/365)^365*1
A = 750000(1+0.0137)^365
A = 750000(143.53)
A = 107250000

That may seem like a crazy number... 107,250,000 coins after 1 year... but thats the magic of compounding-daily Cheesy

Now lets see what happens if this coin compounds monthly:
A = 750000(1+5/12)^12*1
A = 750000(1+0.4167)^12
A = 750000(1.4167)^12
A = 750000^65.36
A = 49,020,000

49 MLN total coins after 1 year.

And what happens if this coin does not compound- just simple interest?

A = P(1+RT)
A = 750000(1+5*1)
A = 750000(6)
A = 4,500,000

4.5 MLN total coins after 1 year.

The compounding rate has a HUGE effect on how many coins exist after 1 year.

Yes but when 10 000 only stakes 2 per day I don't think that is 500% per annum interest. I think they need to be split into smaller inputs so they all stake at the right amount to get the max return Wink That is what I am doing anyway I will let everyone here know if it works!

Aye that is a bit odd that 10k coins returns 2/day... but that should only be for probably the first couple of days when the coin is in the wallet, and as the coin "ages", the amount you get/day should increase. But you never know... this is crypto Cheesy

But age is reset everytime the coin stakes Wink I'm staking in 100 GP lots. I think this coin is great I am trying to find the optimal staking for the community.

mine were 500 inputs initially, after the first stake they were split in two 250+ stake inputs and now on the third stake they are 125. You can actually see them on the  explorer. Most of those 250.x 251.x etc are mine.

Ok why did you cut the screen off that shows the amounts staked?

I was just showing the rate vs inputs @ wich I'm staking - The average rewards for what you see on the screencap is 0.726889648 GP.

How big were your smaller inputs?

smallest in that screencap was 0.00221415 - biggest was 1.43936716

Sorry I mean the actual amounts of GP you had staking. Were they 20 GP or 100 GP or?

oh my bad - didn't read right - I wasn't looking at how many coins were staking at a time. I haven't seen it below 1k I think but again I have not been paying attention to that

I've had absolutely no problem staking. Started with 3 large inputs that yielded around 4 or 5 coins until their age was reset (but didn't wait to see if they'd stake sooner) I then split them up into smaller inputs (lots of them) and in the first 24 hours these inputs produced more than 20 coins (can't remember exactly). It was explained to me that it could be like a lottery where more tickets = more chances to stake.

This is the last hour:

Hope everyone has a good weekend! Projects are coming along nicely Smiley

Deposits and withdrawals now functioning on Halhan.com. Awaiting the first pets/characters to be delivered from the artist and then the game is playable! Still growing in features and maps etc.

Investors should keep in mind we have a low market cap and this could be a perfect time to buy Smiley I think we're just getting started here. As the price goes up I'l have more funds available for marketing and building new games to! We're in a win win position all around! Smiley

Yeah we're currently @ $12k market cap, ranking @ 197 - she's still an infant, healthy and growing @ only 9 days old. Keep it up! thanks for the update.

BTW: she's been staking like a boss - sending those X2 to the fund....

Game developers are coming on board. Here's a black jack game with Gamerholic coin as chips,  https://cryptofever.com/gamerholiccoin/

I know it is not released or hosted by Gamerholic but better be careful with that one. I have read not so favorable things about them. They're erasing their posts on other coins threads and not crediting deposits. Think about it, they could've posted it themselves but tweeted you instead...
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gamerholic coin (100% Fair Launch) *New ANN* on: January 16, 2015, 11:28:53 PM

For those that are not aware yet, make sure to follow @Gamerholic on twitter for stuff like this https://twitter.com/Gamerholic/status/556205335325995012

And spread the word on this one if you know someone who can claim this $2,500 bounty https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=926826.msg10174397#msg10174397

I think I chose the wrong career............................................ should've been an IOS developer.

Ok looks like you're in desperate need of attention. Can't say I like your subtle ways but hey it's psychological game for some and perhaps it works for you. Next time use big red bold letters for extra flair and it will it will probably have better effect. If you must* have a sad or angry emoticon handy but do not over do it as it could destroy your credibility - roll eyes is another weapon that should be used once a day tops.

Looks like this coin is heading back down until some real news comes out...

Why are some many people dumping GP Huh
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GP] GoldPieces - Launch Announcement Thread - Friday January 9th on: January 15, 2015, 09:03:52 PM

I'm GP isn't a pump and dump like other shitty coins I've observed and analyzed!

Absolutely, told to the few crypto people I know why I bought it:

PRE-ANN: everyone had time to get ready

No Pre-Mine

Linear block rewards for one whole week: no halving or complicated schemes to reward those early miners and their buddies with big blocks etc - no body was late to the party all through POW

Transparent Dev from the beginning, no surprises

Everything has gone smoothly appart from some people who can't get their conf file right.

Dev knows his way in his industry and has prior experience. Has been active, delivering and building the infrastructure out of his own pocket and with the very few donations he has received. (sending some more in a minute cause as I'm guilty of this as well and it will only help my investment on the coin grow)

No dumps by the looks of it apart from miners who have to pay for electricity and ROI

Market responded to all these factors early from the first days on c-cex til now - without an army of hypers and mooners and posting memes and the usual stuff you find on PnD anns.
