True that, but they'd be outta business otherwise.

Thats what the smart gambler does.

Isn't that an oxymoron?

Afaik, smart gambling is counting cards and it's the only way to beat the house odds (besides cheating), and Vegas knows every one of 'em. (card counters)
The casino kicks 'em out as soon as the facial recognition app warns they are on the premises.

..... i live within my means and plan accordingly.

I absolutely live within my means also and will never go in cc debt again. It's just that it's not always convenient to pay with cash.
I just swipe and pay off every month. The only time I have a wad of cash in my pocket is when I sell my annual crop of....  (ehem) ....tomatoes!   Wink Cheesy

.... I off course laughed at him and he got all indignant and it turns out the guy writes batch files. Lol

Apart from CNC G code,
writing those batch file thingies that fire up one's shitcoin miner are about the extent of my brilliant coding career.
You can laugh at me though.
I wont get indignant....

edit: added a link in case the world really does need that twat scented candle.

"geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed"

jeezus christ! wtf is that crazy gooper lady shoving up her stinky pink anyway?

https://medium.com/swlh/the-greatest-capitalist-scam-of-the-century-why-credit-scores-are-screwing-us-all-over-7f6b607e745d

Quote from: Samuel James White....Why Credit Scores are Screwing Us All Over
The sad fact is that two-thirds of Americans can’t pass a basic financial literacy test, and it’s not getting better at a rapid pace, either.

That's the gist of it.
I learned many years ago after going bankrupt (entirely my fault, young and stupid) you have to play the credit game
correctly and follow the mostly unwritten rules he spells out.
I did that and over the years since my bankruptcy my credit score is virtually perfect now... 830 or something. I don't really care tbh.
I only know that, not because I check it (I don't, that's bad for credit score) but when re-upping my last car lease,
the salesperson mentioned he never sees folks come in with perfect credit scores.
2007  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 20, 2020, 03:21:19 PM
Haven't taken out a personal loan in years so I guess I'm outta that loop, but 18% ?? Holy shit... that is shocking.

I used to take out  cash advance loan offers from my Visa Card.  (issuer is not a major bank, some joint out in Nebraska)
I musta been a good customer as the rate was  4% and no fee.
Now that my balance has been zero for so long they lowered my credit limit...lol.
(any balance now gets paid off every month of course)

In case you are buying DCA with coinbase, well, you are pretty f*ckd.

God damn! I've been dca-ing with coinbase for 7 years .. I'm totally f*ckd man. Might as well put a bullet in my head.

In the meantime I'm still working on my latest track entitled "Paranoid Delusions".... Wink
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: June 18, 2020, 05:03:04 PM
So in the year and a half I've mined this coin at the same hashrate, it's interesting to note that the overall data shows
my daily proceeds in Grin has increased about 10 fold (over the year and a half)
albeit my actual daily dollar value proceeds has remained near constant.
(meaning  hodeling this coin is not a good idea but I think most Grin-ians know that)
2011  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 18, 2020, 06:22:37 AM
Well I just got a free .00012627 btc, because after logging in to check my Coinbase dca balance (no, I don't store my stash there)
I discovered some random shitcoin deposited in my account.
No worries, at least you can convert that free garbage to bitcoin instantaneously with no fee.
Coinbase is starting to look like shitcoin Grand Central Station ffs....
I know, I know....  Coinbase sucks... blah blah blah.... I've heard it all (mainly from this thread)
I've been with them since day one of owning bitcoin. No complaints , no issues cashing out, ain't changing now, sorry bros....

I just don’t hope it’s a financial one that requires good judgement and decisions

Nope, I learned to not get emotional or obsessive with my financial decisions. My finances will do well automatically without me interfering.

It is something else man it feels so good you all need to try some of that stuff but no I'll keep it to myself.  Grin

collodial silver?
how much did Tash charge you per milliliter ?

*scnr*

@Tash: I was on the same path until about a decade ago, tried a lot of fancy "magic" stuff, tried to convince other people of how silly they are not to go "alternative" and throw their money at scammers that are actual doctors.
Let me tell you this: It didn't work. The only people i knew that claimed that it works either had no real health problems or took money for their alternative product or service. Some of the first group had health problems afterwards. Most risks are well documented.
This is a wakeup call from Morpheus. It's up to you if you take the red or the blue pill.

There are many pseudo-sci cultists who think that colloidal silver is some kind of panacea. There is little or no scientific evidence to support most of this nonsense. It's really just an invitation to argyria (blue skin).

Fun fact...
Colloidal silver is used to force female cannabis plants to produce pollen. When this pollen is
used to pollinate other females the resulting seed is “feminized”... i.e the seeds will only
generate females.
Always wondered how the phuk some genius came up with that seemingly insane concept (but it works)

Small wonder really...

The forum is so fucking dead I don't remember a time it was more deader than this and I've been around for a loong time.

It's all your fault, you know.

We all lost much faith when you emptied your bags.

I was actually thinking the same thing for real even though you did a sarcasm (probably*) there.

*did you?

Pff... Don't be ridiculous. I don't have that kind of influence over people.

Well in this thread you do.
Everyone and his brother couldn't stop yammering on about you after you sold your coins.

....
I get that. My issue was the with the assertion that the current generation of protesters have zero economic opportunities in front of them. And the implication that boomers could walk into any job they wanted. Pure twaddle.

Can't argue with that. Unfortunately there's not many economic opportunities that involve swiping a fondle slab 24/7 and a 30 second attention span.... so the millennials are shit out of luck....DOOOOOHH!

.....But it won't forgive you if you make a mistake. Which is one of its powers. No safety net. No customer service/bank to call to. WE are the bank, so we'd better give it the respect it demands.

Karen phuks up her bitcoin transaction then this exchange.....

“Hello I need to speak to the bitcoin manager now! I sent my bitcoin to a scammer and want a refund!”
“I can’t help you madam... umm...report your complaint to the BBB.    /s
“BBB? Wtf is that?”
“The Better Bitcoin Bureau”.....

This is OT and not for wall observer....

No worries being OT in here once in awhile, it’s what gives this thread its unique character.
Just don’t mention shitcoins or Jay will give you a Batman slap....
