221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to dump ETH? on: November 21, 2017, 08:39:20 PM
What's wrong with ETH right now? Pretty stable at around ~$365 per ETH. Went up 24% this past month alone. Is there something that I'm not seeing that would cause people to dump this coin?
222  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: November 21, 2017, 06:41:26 PM
This thread is so pointless... everyone's obviously going to say invest the money because it has a chance to earn more rather than it sitting in the bank.. Should just close this thread.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is illegal in some country on: November 21, 2017, 06:39:48 PM
I wish people would just start being accepting of cryptocurrency instead of bashing it just because it isn't green paper or tangible and because of the fact that they can't collect tax as easily on it.

That's not the major reason I don't think. Yeah, it can't be regulated, but the thing is, BTC isn't practical for everyday use as of right now. The fees associated with micro transactions are way to high and the fact that there is a chance that transactions can be double spent and no confirmations etc. This is what the government is banging its head over.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INSANE BITCOIN TRANSACTION FEES!!!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< on: November 21, 2017, 06:35:10 PM
It's usually this high when there are a lot of transactions going through and not enough confirmations. Yes, this is a pretty big problem for BTC to go mainstream honestly. Even if I pay $5 for a coffee, I'm not looking to spend any extra fees. I'm not sure how blockchain/BTC will handle this but the fees is one major reason that's preventing BTC from being widely accepted.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: November 21, 2017, 06:29:18 PM
Anyone is waiting and tuning in for the game of Charlotte Hornets vs Minnesota Timberwolves? Kemba Walker catches my eye when I'm watching some highlight videos on facebook when a facebook page posted his nice plays, ankle-breaker crossover moves. I just forgot the page that was on my wall since it just popped out as one of my friend liked it. I didn't know what's the past performance of this guy but I really liked the way he play. Anyone who knows the history of this guy?
He is the star player of the team and as point guard he can make plays but most of the time he is the go to guy of the Charlotte Hornets.
This is a good match up because they are playing at home and the  Minnesota Timberwolves just recently loss to the Detroit Pistons yesterday so they will all try to win this game. However, I still believe that the home team will have a chance in winning this game so I shall bet on the Hornets -2.5 at home, line movement makes me do this.

Congratulations for your bet, Charlotte Hornets has won 118-102 against Minnesota Timberwolves. Dwight Howard leaded his team to win this game. And I think Dwight has a great deal for Charlotte Hornets, the team looks good for him and he's been used and playing well with the team. The home court advantage isn't really a big deal for this match, IMHO. The scores for all the quarters are very close still they won.
Howard has improved his free throw shooting and that is one of the reason why they won the game, this game he has (9-14 FTM-A ) which is a big factor. Last season his shooting is not this good and he can be a weakness of the team especially when the game is close because their opponent will keep fouling him to take advantage of his bad shooting.

Yeah, Dwight has a monstrous game and his free throw shooting has improved. But let's see how it goes, last year there are games that he do good in FT, but majority is that he shoots poorly and teams are talking advantage of it by fouling him. So it he remains consistent with his current team likely they can reach playoff spot. The problem with him though is that he is so inconsistent and not the same Howard we seen during his Orlando Magic days.

Here is a good article for those Dwight Howard's fan.

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orlando-magic/dwight-howard/os-sp-magic-dwight-howard-david-whitley-0919-story.html

Dwight is garbage.. Ever since he left Orlando, it's been downhill from there. The Hawks dropped him after one season. I haven't heard of him being relevant ever since he left the Lakers. It doesn't matter that his free throw percentage is where it's at right now. He plays too calm and has no drive. Not at all a team player.
226  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I stop Buying BTC? on: November 21, 2017, 06:27:47 PM
Unless there is no other choice, you should not stop buying bitcoin. First of all, bitcoin is concerned by many types of people. They are learning about bitcoin and the blockchain. Investors are spending their money on this cryptocurrency. THey believe that bitcoin is a good way to invest their money. They see bitcoin as digital gold. That is the sight which will make the price of bitcoin even higher in the future Wink
Ehh. Even though Bitcoin looks promising right now, in the far future, the coin needs a ton of integration before it can be accepted as general currency. It can't handle nearly as much transactions per second as our current credit/debit card system. And honestly, that's the most important thing right. Being able to handle a ton of transactions in a short amount of time.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy altcoins or not? on: November 20, 2017, 08:50:09 PM
I would say yes. Invest in Altcoins. Though skip the trash ones that's obviously out to pump and dump. Other established coins such as LTC or ETH is definitely worth the investment. You just have to find the next one that will be respected.

229  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: November 20, 2017, 06:05:53 PM
Fiat is very powerful, it can never be replaced because it is used already as our payment to the things and others all over the world.  We need fiat for the conversion of bitcoin into real money to buy goods and whatsoever although it will help increase the value of your asset because of the exponential growth of bitcoin but it is not powerful enough to replace fiat.

At Bitcoin's current stage, no it cannot replace fiat. But I'm sure something will come along with better integration or services and it might be a thread later on. Who knows. All I know right now is that prices continue to set record highs so that has to mean something
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: November 20, 2017, 05:57:57 PM
I underestimated the Rockets yesterday I thought they'll have some problems with cp3 chiming in. Moving on, putting my satoshis on the Nuggets -5.5  today Lakers lost twice in a row at home I think they're losing form because of this and will continue to lose. Also on a losing streak with my bets so go ahead if you like to counter my pick. Betslip

Seems the Rockets is a whole different beast with CP3 on play. Let's just hope they're consistent anyway.
I don't know why you have underestimated the Rockets especially when they are currently sitting at the top of the Western Conference standings. Chris Paul doesn't have any problem being part of the Houston Rockets as he have blend well with James Harden, and in my opinion they are one of the best back court duos of all time. Winning over 22 points over Memphis Grizzlies showed us that they can win in big margins especially on an elite team like the Grizzlies.

I agree with that dude. The rockets are being overlooked with teams like okc, boston and the regular cavs and gsw getting much of the attention. With cp3 at point, i think these guys are a serious contender and a legitimate threat to gsw.
??

No one is overlooking the Rockets, what are you talking about. They're the first seed in the West tied with Golden State. No way are they being overlooked in the slightest.
231  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: November 20, 2017, 05:55:34 PM
Nowadays, we can see that the future of the paper money seems to be catastrophic. These new virtual currencies are making a big threat to the powerful currencies like Euro and Dollar.
Wrong. Even though cryptocurrencies look promising right now, it's not very dependable or practical. It needs a lot more integration before it can become a serious threat to other currencies.

I hope soon my problem will be solved  Cry

All it takes is time. My account was hacked a while back too, but after a couple weeks, the Admins reset the email. Just be patient. I know it can be frustrating but there's not much else that can be done.

236  Economy / Currency exchange / Have [BANK/BUY4YOU Any website] WANT PAYPAL/BTC/ETH/IOTA/ATLCOINS on: November 20, 2017, 04:48:24 AM
This may seem a little sketchy but I’m just trying to avoid the hefty fees I would have to pay if I bought coins directly from my bank account. So instead, I will be using my debit card to buy anything you wish in exchange for PayPal or any altcoin that I may accept.

Just post below. Here’s the thread I’m referring to btw: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2515997.msg25700865#msg25700865
