621  Economy / Web Wallets / Blockchain double spend? on: October 10, 2015, 08:45:04 PM
I had my first double spend error and I'm not sure how it happened. I can't spend any of the remaining funds in my wallet so I was wondering what I should do?

Do I just wait it out or?

623  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people dump their Bitcoins ? on: October 07, 2015, 04:32:19 PM
Speculation and predictions.  They think it's just not worth it to hold onto those coins anymore and just want money for them

But do you convert that 75% to cash or do you keep it as BTC and just save at a different wallet.
626  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: October 06, 2015, 04:33:54 PM
Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

The future of the paper money might be bleak.  One reason why digital money is now being used in some countries is it helps prevent crime.

Crime with money will happen whatever the method might be. Digital currency can easily be hacked
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much have you gambled? on: October 06, 2015, 04:32:35 PM
I gambled about .12 btc fairly low..compared to most.

But after I lost that over at primedice, I never want to feel that crappy feeling ever again.

You never know if you never try and try again, sometimes you win sometimes you lose, that is the gambling method so keep on gambling if you want to recover what you loss before

This is really bad advice. No one listen to him if you want to keep your money. I say take the loss and run away. Don't keep gambling to try to recover the losses.

Do any of you guys convert BTC you earn to cash and save them at the bank? Or do you guys just keep all of it in BTC and let it ride?

i don't cash out my bitcoins just to save them at the bank because personally, i consider my bitcoin wallet as a bank Grin so basically, i just keep all my BTC in my bitcoin wallet and wait for the price to rise , HODLing for short Grin

You're not afraid of bitcoin suddenly falling? I mean, I myself convert at least 10% of my BTC to cash every month so I can put them in my savings.

639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods? on: October 02, 2015, 05:22:26 PM
Once I went to Starbucks and bought coffee with fiat and waited for someone.
It may have not been available when you did that, but today you can go to coffee.foldapp.com on your phone, buy coffee with bitcoin, and get a 20% discount.

I bet that site uses carded starbucks.
