221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / When does Zcoin launch? on: November 01, 2016, 02:49:19 PM
Im trying to understand Zcash and Zcoin, apparently they are not related, they are different coins. I have read Zcoin was supposed to launch in september 25, yet I don't see it in poloniex....

When will it be listed in poloniex? Do you think Zcoin will pump hard like Zcash?
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 01, 2016, 02:41:40 PM
Most poor countries are poor because the government is doing a terrible task in managing resources. With Bitcoin ever citizen can be their own bank and don't need government approval to get things done.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most popular Altcoin? on: November 01, 2016, 02:40:07 PM
Litecoin is the original altcoin, that's why I think it will always be one of the most popular, but right now I guess Ethereum is number one altcoin, and Doge is also pretty big.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 700 BTC for 1zcash. on: November 01, 2016, 02:34:34 PM
We went from 700 to 0.8 BTC, then now we are at 3.5 BTC, what does this mean to me? Well to me this means we are going to 0.1 or something like that, but of course we may continue pumping... im too scared to risk my BTC to be honest.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So did anone here get rich from the ZCash pump? on: November 01, 2016, 02:24:43 PM
I bought .1BTC worth while it was at .8BTC and already sold.Still tempted because i wanted to invest 1BTC but because of the bitcoin pump i invested only .1BTC. Still really nice profit for me in short time.

But i think there will be huge dump soon if you see the recent trades, it's just sell sell sell.

I pity those who are buying at this price, it is going to amount to massive loss in future Undecided

Well, I am assuming that most people here are making short term gambles with this and don't intend to hold long term. People were saying 0.8 BTC was to high, but we have seen a 3.5 BTC pump... who knows if tomorrow it does another 10 BTC pump.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZCASH Technicals vs Bitcoin Anonymity on: November 01, 2016, 01:30:28 PM
I also keep getting confused with both zcash and zcoin. I didn't buy any because I don't understand the technical fundamentals and i don't see how they are going to be relevant when we already have Monero, not to mention Bitcoin will become more private soon...

I should have bought tho, those pumps are tasty.

Let me know if I am in for the coming week.

GianLuca literally JUST said that all the slots are full. You guys may claim to speak fluent English, you still require an IQ over 10 to join...
The post above that says "no more spots" was edited after I applied. Also anyone with a functional life outside internet forums would just look at the OP for info expecting accurate, updated information, instead of looking at the OP's posting history, but the spreadsheet still shows there are 3 free Hero Member spots and 1 free Sr Member spot , therefore, it's reasonable that you apply just in case.

231  Economy / Services / Re: WWW.GAMEBET.GG Signature campaign, (OPEN) New members paid in GBT. on: April 21, 2016, 01:14:29 PM
relax dude, this campaign has a manager and believe it or not he is only human and doing what he can, so you should wait.

in the last page i read him saying i have like 40 PMs everyday, and that is hard to go through each one and reply and everybody wants to get answers right away.

also today is the payment day so he would be doubly busy going through all the posts and checking them.

Red-Apple, you got it in one pal thank you.

Cmon man!. My post ignored and my private message also ignored. I think you really need a manager here for many applicants are ignored and I think you got a  lot of pm's that are not seen.

At least tell them that they are not accepted. Thank you again.

Ignored? Why would I do that? Its called missing a post and has happened twice m8, I would have come to your pm eventually. Its a funny thing, I do not live on this forum. Anyway your enrollment is denied.

.

COUNTING is now starting, payments will follow very soon after the last member posts have been counted Smiley

EDIT: All payments have been made, please contact me should you have any issues. Thank you, was impress with many of your posts and will be speaking with the team to see if we can arrange some kind of bonuses next time around Smiley)

Watch this space.....

-snip-

Keep clutching at straws. First there was 5 excluded posts, (wrong as proven) then there was I told you I was angry, (wrong) then you tell me when I started counting posts without realizing around the world there are many timezones and you are obviously in a different one to the one I reside in.

I'm glad you're happy that you got paid even though you never followed the rules to qualify to make payment. I will not be replying anymore to you from now. Thanks for your contribution to the campaign and for following the rules  Cheesy

You counted 25 posts when it's 26 posts, you are obviously angry that I made you re-count, why else would you kick someone out of a campaign because of this? (any answer to this that isn't admitting you were angry would further prove my point).

Your rules are conveniently ambiguous. You don't even state when the counting begins in the OP (if you don't tell at what hour and timezone then it's useless).

You also didn't state at first that there is a minimum post requirement of 10 posts (5 on the gambling alt section and 5 on the gambling section, which you have edited recently saying "to make payment") after sending me this PM:

HEADS UP..

Just checked some randoms peoples recent posts and come to yours. You are not on target to make payment if you do not post 5 in the gambling section by the time I start counting tomorrow.

Thanks

Anyway, good luck with your campaign, im not wasting a single minute again with this. And anyone participating, remember to not doubt this guy's counting or you will get kicked.

232  Economy / Services / Re: WWW.GAMEBET.GG Signature campaign, (FULL) on: April 20, 2016, 01:39:00 PM

You start with 2000 posts- When I start counting, your finishing posts are 2028. Where I was taught math, that is 28 posts made?

Notice that I pointed at how 5 posts didn't get counted, I didn't even talk about payments. So you made a mistake in the spreadsheet by saying 5 posts got excluded when they were 3 (2 offtopic and 1 on this thread).
But not only that, you actually forgot to pay me 1 post. I made 26 posts from 07/04/2016 to 14/04/2016

And after politely pointing this out, you send me a PM saying that you are angry at the fact that I pointed this out and will remove me from the next term because you can't be bothered to count again. Just like that.

This is exactly how being unprofessional looks like.

So everyone in this campaign must know the fact that if this guy doesn't pay you 1 or 2 posts, you can't complain because "it's only 1 or 2 posts" and if you do complain he will remove you from the campaign.

Right lets get this straight shall we?

Your enrollment post, 2000 start post. When "I" get around to counting your posts, your finishing post is on 2028. Regardless of dates you pull out from somewhere, it is when I check your posts and write the finishing post (nothing else). 3 was excluded and never did it say 5 was excluded because that would mean you would be paid for 23 posts.

So I sent a pm saying I was angry? lol.

Here is the pm

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

I am not going through already counted posts.

I will however,

Pay you for the 2 real important posts to you and remove you from the campaign after this pay period so I am not asked to go through posts again for the sake of less than cents.

Thanks for your contribution to the campaign and good luck in future.

I actually went on to scan your posts and see all was well and it was your reading where the issue lie, seeing 5 instead of 3 exclusions and if need be I will give log in details to someone trusted so they can see there was not edit of the 3 (revising the spreadsheet). Nowhere was there anger or unprofessionalism and sorry if you felt that way.

Reason you will be removed from the campaign is trust issues, if you can't trust me then that is fine. Join a campaign where you do trust the manager. I'd have 0 reason to not pay for any valid posts.  Grin

Not trust issues, I politely asked about it because people can make mistakes. You choose to remove me because of this which is bullshit (unprofessional). You are being passive aggressive (angry) by removing me because I told you to re-count.

If payments are on thursday, all posts made on wednesday (13/04/16) should be counted until 11:59 PM, in this case it would be 26 posts.
233  Economy / Services / Re: WWW.GAMEBET.GG Signature campaign, (FULL) on: April 19, 2016, 11:57:28 AM
Hi, I would like to know why 5 of my posts didn't get counted.

I have looked at my posts through the week, and:

1) 1 post did not count because it was posted here to join the campaign:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1429793.msg14466905#msg14466905
2) 1 post did not count because it was unfortunately moved to off-topic:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433928.msg14502980#msg14502980
3) 1 post did not count because it was unfortunately moved to off-topic:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433928.msg14531577#msg14531577

So what happened to the 2 other posts? What are those 2 posts that didn't counted?

You seriously couldn't work this out yourself?

I hope this is simple enough for you to understand........

You start with 2000 posts- When I start counting, your finishing posts are 2028. Where I was taught math, that is 28 posts made?

You have kindly brought forward the 3 excluded posts so that leaves 25 posts to be paid.

Hero member rate, 0.001 x 25 paid for posts = 0.025, may I ask what I paid you?

Here, https://blockchain.info/address/1ATRvi3nZAHEGURgYv76wHJjUAhtKgBYy3

Everyone elses enrollment is denied until after this weeks payment then we will be having a change around and will be opening up the campaign to others.

Thank you all for your interest in this campaign Smiley

234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins for staking on: April 17, 2016, 12:55:22 PM
What do you mean staking? As in buying a stack, or coins that have an integrated system that allows you to get interests by holding them on the wallet? If it's the second case, BitStar coin is an excellent coin, it has been holding on about 1k satoshis for ages. If you hold them on the wallet, it doesn't stop creating new coins (the more you have the more coins it creates)
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum Paradox on: April 17, 2016, 12:50:55 PM
is Vitalik an order of magnitude smarter than Satoshi?

no, but his balls are an order of magnitude bigger

when you are thinking about dropping a million dollars of your hard earned cash into a crypto community, knowing that the lead developer has the huevos to show himself in public and stand behind his creation instead of hiding like a coward or criminal offers the potential investor a certain level of clarity that is devilishly absent from the bitcoin community.

And why do you ask, do investors love this "clarity" concept that the bitcoin community cannot seem to grasp?

Why does Wall St demand quarterly reports from every company CEO?

Well, in the words of the worlds richest coward, "if you don't understand by now, then ur obviously too stoopid"

You will not receive a dime of Wall Street money without a company CEO.

but for those admittedly too stupid who still ask why, here's the only answer:

TRUST

Satoshi left because he knew he was in danger if he was a public persona, he had nothing to gain. It would damage Bitcoin as a project with "a CEO".

Also, the point of Bitcoin is that we don't need "Wall Street CEO's" permission to grow. If they don't want to get involved, others will, and at some point they will be forced to join or sink.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH GETTING DUMPED HARD!!!! on: April 17, 2016, 12:43:19 PM
Looks like ETh still hard to rise again and its gradually decreasing.. do you guys think the price of eth will back to 0.3 above again?
Looks like some traders are converting again back to bitcoins..

The halving is near and there are big expectations about Bitcoin, but most importantly, Bitcoin 0.12.1 just got released. Core team continues doing an outstanding job delivering world class code that works, new features don't stop getting added... Bitcoin is king and smart money knows it, that's why it's all coming back to it.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum - Time to buy or time to sell? on: April 17, 2016, 12:39:17 PM
This is kinda a dumb thread since there are already like 15 of them.

I'm a presale buyer who sold way too soon (but it still put me in the green from crypto).   I'm keeping about a third of my stash in case I'm wrong but

. Almost all good news that CAN be good news at this stage has hit and much of it in the last 2 - 3 weeks.

  . Visual Studio integration
. Coverage by major news outlets
  . Announcement of new projects

. Ethereum is shutting down their official forums.

. Ethereum is still at almost at 70% of it's all time high.

. All bitcoin bad news that is possible has happened (not going to scale on chain - centralized blockstream / Chinese miners control).

Long term I'm still pretty bullish on Eth but their team is making some dumbass decisions.  On the supply side I believe 60 - 70% is still held in presale wallets (buying cost was between $0.30 & $0.40).

Make your own descision but in my opinion the likely hood of ethereum replacing bitcoin in the short term has gone down from what it was a month ago.  The short term downside risk looks much greater than the upside potential.

Ethereum will never replace Bitcoin.. anyone that is realistic about things knows this already.
Now, does Ehtereum have a niche usage that Bitcoin can't fill? That's yet to be seen. Bitcoin can make Ethereum redundant thanks to sidechain technology, if the need for weird smart contracts that cannot be done under Bitcoin Script ever arises, but most smart contracts will be done under the elegance, simplicity and ligth-weightiness of Bitcoin Script.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: April 17, 2016, 12:34:22 PM
maybe Lisk or eth. I do not know, so many coins that are good for the future. and it may be very many new coins are better and deserve. but when, I think it is best to Lisk

There's a lot of people talking about LISK lately. Some really optimistic goal prices are aiming at about 4-5$ per coin once it hits the big exchanges. I have my doubts tho. I own nothing of this alt so I wish look for those that decide to gamble with it.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash: The Future Internet Of Money? on: April 17, 2016, 12:32:01 PM
...
So I see you are another hopeless case of calling Bitcoin Core/Blockstream centralized and whatnot. Well, I wish you luck with your altcoin, meanwhile the best minds in the game are working hard in keeping the core of Bitcoin decentralized and scaling it through additional layers as any sane person intending to scale a protocol to worldwide usage would do.
In a couple of months it will be clear that anyone that didn't move their altcoins yet to Bitcoin will be up for a harsh awakening.

Who knows? Personally I hope Bitcoin has a strong position for a long time to come but if you think it's destined to be the only coin or is invulnerable to centralisation then it's time to stop drinking the coolaid, even Ripple is going to be around for a while and Etherium is likely to get very widespread adoption via the tech giants unless something better comes along soon. There's going to be more and more alts from here on out, sure, plenty of shitcoins but there's an almost limitless number of niches for them to fill. Dash is purely aiming to fill the niche of digital cash, maybe Bitcoin or some bank created contraption can do that job better, only time will tell on that score but things are looking very good for Dash at present in targeting that specific role.

Im not saying im a wizard with special powers that can see the future, im just looking at the fundamentals and at the simple facts we have today:

1) The best in the business is working on Bitcoin, and not other coins
2) Things are looking bright for Bitcoin, it's proving it can scale
3) No other coins are anywhere near Bitcoin, no other coin has lived as long as Bitcoin, no other coin has proved to scale as much as Bitcoin

Ripple is crap and ETH's blockchain is already insanely huge, they are not real competition to take Bitcoin's place. It just has not real competition at all, it's a fact.

Can your washing machine order up washing powder from your local supplier using your Bitcoin identity to charge it to your account? It can, it takes a bit of clunkyness but it's easily possible. The thing is, there will be an almost infinite number of examples like that and, as you've mentioned with Eth, trying to do that via a single system causes a ridiculous amount of bloat and at the end of the day you've got to ask yourself, do you want that from Bitcoin?

That's why niches, Bitcoin and the Lightning network might well put Dash and InstantX in second place as digital cash and if it does then my hat is off, fair play and Dash will have to find its self another niche but more likely they'll comfortably co-exist in parallel. We'll have to wait and see how that pans out but Dashes governance model is giving it a huge advantage in adaptability and it would have a very good chance of carving out a niche elsewhere. Governance is something Bitcoin really needs to catch up on fast, innovations are going to be coming thick and fast from all angles and it'll become a much more competitive environment before there's any sign of that settling down.

ETH is bloatware today.. imagine in the future if its supposed to get some relevant amount of volume usage. The blockchain is TB+ now on that thing.

Bitcoin is way better suited. If the smart contract needs some sort of complex stuff not doable through Bitcoin Script, there's always Rootstock or sidechain solutions.

I don't know what you mean by governance... the system is working and is scaling. And I still don't see the competition that threatens Bitcoin's #1 spot at all.
240  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does sending Bitcoins feel good? on: April 17, 2016, 11:59:36 AM
It feels freaking fantastic being in the forefront of one of the biggest disruptions to ever take place, and everytime I send a transaction im reminded of that.

Receiving Bitocoin feels better tho.
