I didn't know it was cool to name call and threaten on these forums. Regardlless he could have sent me a working 5970 very easily (since that was our agreement) but chose not to based on the fact that the exchange rate had fallen, and thus the monetary loss was all on me. I guess I shouldn't have expected that from a "hero" member. I didn't want more bitcoins as he said, I wanted a 5970. I fulfilled my end of our contract 100% yochdog did not.

now he decided to pay me back, thanks. shouldn't have had to do this though. Still beware

I'm not the one calling names, so I'm not the one who looks foolish. He has not fully refunded me, if you want to believe him there's nothing I can do about that. If you choose to believe someone based on their post count that's fine too. But I have a right to say what went down and let you know. lol didnt think YD would do this and ruin his rep. I would not have issued a refund till I received the card back to test for myself, so seems reasonable and if the exchange could have worked in your favor, would you issue a refund to him? I think that is a chance we all know and accept that change in rate, especially these last few weeks. YD is straight, but then again I dont have a dog in this fight.
This is PRECISELY what I asked him when he was demanding more BTC back than he paid me. Regardless, I always deal straight with every deal I make.....you can ask any one of DOZENS of people on here. Thanks for the vote of confidence Segabtc!

Yes I have. If you want to do business with someone who there is no reasoning with, go ahead. If something goes wrong with the transaction even when its his fault, you are the only one who should be taking a loss according to him Card did not work and was not tested before shipment, yochdog is not a person of his word and did not follow through with compensation.
Woah slow down. I've received dead cards from fellow forum members, but did not resort to calling them liars and scammers. Have you sent him a PM about this and tried to work it out?

you running yours in a case? you probably need more cool air coming in if your seeing that high of temps. Also even a couple more mm between the two cards can make a huge difference if you can separate them. I run caseless though wow... my 7970s have to be undervolted to keep temps under 80C. i run mine at 975mhz 50% fan speed (noise is a concern for me) its border line unacceptable. im getting 575mh/sec each, sure would love to get 700 though...

Sometimes driver crashes with the 7970's cause ram speed, or both gpu and ram to not change when cgminer tries to set them. More than likely you just need to restart. Use GPU-z to make sure settings are being applied correctly. Heat should not cause a hashrate decrease, unless your cards are overheating (at least 80 degrees probably more like 90 though) you will see the hash rate start and stop when that happens as the card throttles itself
one more thought if you have the crossfire cable connected, its not needed unless you want to game too. I have mine connected and sometimes if I don't start mining within a minute or so of bootup the non display card will go in low power mode and not have overclocking ability at all
I run my 7970 all the way up to about 77 degrees without any stability issues

I'll buy everything for 19btc with escrow if you want

7970's cooling is way better, I don't use active cooling on my rigs so hot days we are looking at 110 degree ambient temp. 7970 reaches about 77-78 degrees without an undervolt even in these conditions. A 5970 could easily reach 90 in the same conditions, they require extreme undervolt when it gets that hot

My go to is 785 at 1.02 volts you can sometimes go higher than that. This works on pretty much every 5800 series card out there

What do you have so against people trying to buy Bitcoin with Moneypak? I sell for moneypak all the time and don't see the problem. Why should people pay higher fees with bitinstant?

Even though I wasn't around at the time, even I have seen the pre/early internet. You think when there were a bunch of geeks playing text games on a BBS, they were thinking the internet would have gotten this far, or even have anything close to the idea that 70 year olds would be playing flash games on Facebook. FTP, Gopher, how many other protocols were there that weren't user friendly. Even html by itself would not have gotten the internet to the masses. We needed the AOL's, the Compuserve's, the Yahoo's to make the internet get really popular. We needed something to "baby step" them through the internet if you will. So maybe that is the solution to bitcoin a gateway of sorts, whether it is a visa loaded with bitcoin or something similar
I do another huge reason the internet became popular when it did was instant messaging. There must be some more social aspect of bitcoin we could utilize

Can I sell my demonoid account too just send me whatever amount you like to my address

How bout 23btc for the 5970 shipped
|
|

my 5970's would do 825 at stock volts and now they won't really do 810 reliably, so needless to say I will not run a 5970 without an undervolt period. Its just not worth it I run at 785 1.02 now so I'm losing maybe 10-15 mhash and saving alot of watts and prolonging the life of the card.

not much help I know but I keep a freshly formatted flash drive around, then I plug it in, ssh into it and download my config files from dropbox with this command if anything goes wrong. Usually takes about 5 minutes wget http://yoururlhere/bamt.conf -O /etc/bamt/bamt.conf;wget http://yoururlhere/pools -O /etc/bamt/pools;/opt/bamt/fixer;/etc/init.d/mine restart;gpumon I think most of the time errors in bamt come from corrupt files, unfortunately as most of my attempts to fix a botched install are a waste of time

Trying to find out if there is any interest in buying a broken sapphire extreme 5830 or a broken reference 5850. Both fans spin but no video. The 5850 does have some shipping damage but worked before I tried replacing a bad fan. It does have a good fan from a 6970 I believe. The 5830 was mining fine until one day it just wouldn't recognize. It was run undervolted as well. Just let me know if you want them and can offer something that makes it worth my while to ship them off. If there's interest I can upload some pics if you want
