so cgminer will set memory to 180mhz now? I think I'm still on lower drivers and have to do 150 mhz difference

well I have used a silverstone 1200 watt with 4 rails and a thermaltake 1500 which I think has 6 rails and no problems. So multi rails are probably not a huge deal when they are 20-30 amps each. but the smaller ps where they are only 15 amps or so each I would stay away from

my neighbor killed my 450 corsair (seasonic) after 4yrs and 8 months. But he was running 3 5770's a 5570 and burning a dvd on it, lol. they sent me a brand new one in the box with all accesorries

I seemed to find the problem and it wasn't the power supply after all. The only hardware change I had was the power supply so that's what I assumed it was. But actually It seems that voltage drops are causing problems with my switch or router, which is causing kernel panics in bamt. I reset my router and didn't setup static ip. Setup static ip and stable again, strangest thing ever, lol.
369  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Fielding offers, two brand new Asus 7970s on: May 28, 2012, 06:16:20 AM
I'm definitely interested in working something out, but I do think 4 5850's might be a bit much do you have something against non-reference cards? I use no active cooling for my rigs strictly outside air and my highest card was 74.5 and that was with 90 degree outside temps. Usually they run in the 60's

Are these the ones with 4 displayport connectors? If so I could trade three 5850 sapphire non-reference
371  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Has anyone used the Rosewill RBR1000-m? on: May 27, 2012, 05:37:37 AM
I got one of these used and I can't get stability on even a modest mining rig. Right now I have a rig with a sempron, flash drive, a 5970 and two 5830. I was really hoping to get 5 gpu's stable with this power supply but now I'm beginning to think that may not be possible. Almost every time I plug anything into the same circuit as the power supply the system crashes. It was stable with the 750w rosewill so I know for sure its the power supply. So I guess what I'm asking is anyone using this power supply with good results should I try to get it RMA through rosewill or should i cut my losses and return it to the seller

Yeah I'm a 5/11 truther.  Grin But seriously if zhoutang isn't responsible, why not leave a back door for him or someone else to steal the coins

378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoinica hack - timeline of events? on: May 13, 2012, 02:18:55 AM
I thought maybe we could put any information we have together in a timeline format maybe it will have some answers. It is my personal opinion that this hack sounds very suspicious. Especially after zhoutong no longer claiming ownership. I tried depositing some coins on that night only for the deposit not to go through. My genius idea was to go long that night something I hadn't done in months, so I deposit some BTC. They do not show up in my bitcoinica account. It seems to me based on what happened that the "hot wallet" server was offline for over 6 hours. Why wasn't something done to shut it down in over 6 hours? Who knows what the hacker was able to get in 6 hours?

times should all be utc

379  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB 6990 on: May 12, 2012, 08:44:38 PM
that, and I dont have to pay $600 for the 7970 with 3 displayports. you get nasty tearing on games if you don't use all the same connector and are using multiple monitors. also I doubt the 7970 has much on the 6990 in power consumption comparing two cards (4 gpu's vs 2 gpu's) but I should already have this taken care of. thanks
380  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] C2Q/4GB DDR2/VX450 on: May 12, 2012, 04:37:52 AM
just wanted to add that power supply is underrated. have ran two 5830's overclocked and three 5770's on mine so its definitely not worthless as far as mining is concerned

I'll probably sell mine too when it comes back from rma, it was 4 1/2 years old lol
