144  Local / Alt-Currencies (Italiano) / Re: Wallet litecoin e dogecoin on: November 22, 2014, 09:58:48 AM

Suppose that burst price rise about to 4000 sat, how many people will continue to hold them?

Not me. I will be tempted to sell way below this price. I can never hold until it hits 4k. Just too temping to sell along the way. It will go 4k if a whale hold 90% of coin and i will be the one feeding it. Anyway , 4k is not possible now unless burst replace litecoin (but sometimes alt coin do things that seems impossible e.g dogecoin when wolong is around). However, going back to "touch" 1k is a better guess which can happen within 6 months from now (i am betting within 6 months there will be breakthrough on burst feature)

There will be MANY changes within 6 months. The BURST community will definitely see 1k pretty soon, and I don't think 4k is out of sight, but not for 6-8 months or more. But I'm preparing for all of this! Wink

By preparing, you mean hoarding Tongue

Seriously though, I gotta get me some more BURST at 100ish sats...

Cheesy

i think they pullback to 90sat soon...
there are 1btc buy wall just to accumulate it!!!

good time to buy some!!!

why small fans? so loud

maybe good hardware... but this fan make asic miner do a crazy noise!!!

why not a 3 120mm fans???

why small fans? so loud

If you went with two (maybe 3) large fans, the failure of ANY of those fans could cause catastrophic overheating as BE200 doesn't have temperature sensors. By having 6, a fan can fail without problem. tldr, redundancy.

quality fans dont crap out in my experience - and the AM Prisma only uses 1 fan itself anyways

I'm giving you the reason the manufacturer chose 6 smaller fans, you can argue it all you want.

hum...

with three fans available, i have never read of someone who has had a failure on all 3 simultaneously...

i think it is impossible like mine a btc block in solo!!!

153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin 500% PoS/PoW hybrid SuperStake on: November 17, 2014, 06:12:50 PM
With Cryptsy tekcoin wallet in maintenance and the other 3 exchanges having no tekcoin volume, where else is there to trade? The reason we should care is that If you or some new investor wanted to buy some tekcoin and send it to their wallet they can't with Cryptsy. I suggest sending a message to Cryptsy support. Maybe if they get a lot messages they will fix the problem.

what I do not understand, is how TEK get a so high valuation on critsy... if the volumes are so low !!!!

156  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana: Pay with BTC or Altcoin - get NICE Discount on: November 17, 2014, 09:42:36 AM
Hotels tend to charge very little in Puna Cana any way and I would think they are running at less then full capacity. I think the discount is really a promotional tool and probably would not last through only the "on season" when rates are higher and the rooms are used at a higher capacity.

Just seeing companies even put up a Bitcoin payment button is more than enough for me, doesn't matter what reasons they have for doing it, I want to see cryptocurrencies grow.
Well I would like to see more merchants offer bitcoin as a payment method when there is a strong demand for their product

maybe we're just talking about the case of a person who is passionate about the history of Bitcoin and wanted to support, as far as he could, the project ...
that's all.

this is just my idea!!!

158  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Any alternative to storing all the transactions? on: November 17, 2014, 09:34:05 AM

Hum Peter is talking about a factor 1000 to 1.... So all blockchain become 24 MB. If this become reality will be awesome!

Factor 1000 to 1? Doesn't sound that realistic to me.

The current blockchain size isn't that big still if you consider what mass adoption would do with the size.

if you read the document passed from Gavin they are talking about from 1000 to 1..
but i don't understand if it will be implemented...

i report from doc

Code:
Pieter Wuille has been hard at work on a “headers first” approach – downloading the longest chain of 80-byte block headers, which is only 25 megabytes of data. The headers are sufficient to know whether or not you have the best chain, and once your node has the headers it can “back fill” by requesting complete blocks from multiple peers in any order it wants, similar to how BitTorrent downloads chunks of a large file from many different peers at once.
