Was yobit not properly notified beforehand?

They were. It's just typical of them. Thundertoe and Noise23 both notified all exchanges when the fork was announced, and I know for certain several others did as well.

So they done fixing but won't answer me or give my coins!!

I have Tekcoins "stranded" on Yobit as well. I sent a ticket no answer, nothing. I am done with them after this.

They are not currently allowing withdraw of TEK. I tried too.  Got a pile there I intended to sell, now they are stuck until YoShits get their act together. Who knows when that will be, and if they do, they will never tell you. You will have to keep trying until it works.

Worst customer service I have ever seen short of when Crypsty was going belly up.

Thanks!

Hey, whenever I click on 'transactions' the app crashes.  Any thoughts?

What's your OS version?

10.11.4

I just downloaded the Win version. I am running Windoze 10 on a virtual machine. Downloaded the blockchain, inserted my wallet.dat and am syncing currently. I realize there is a fork happening, but I just want to evaluate, get a feel for this coin before I invest heavily.\.  I am more of a Mac guy, but if you cannot come up with a stable wallet, running in Win is a pain, but not out of the question.

maybe more people with a mac can test the wallet

our problem is no one in team have a mac
and so we cant verify or test a mac wallet

Its definitely buggy. Crashing all the time and still orphaning blocks.

That is typical of them.  I have a support ticket from the beginning of March where they took too many funds from me for a partial order.  I have left several messages with them.  Nothing.  Horrible customer service. And I am close to believing they are a bunch of thieves. Cryptopia is at least honest and does get back to you.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | Hybrid Security | 25% PoS on: May 13, 2016, 12:01:23 PM
this is not the case
u will find a lot small owner of dmd
who will confirm they regulary stake

and fortuna is blind

if ya own many coins or not
the chance that a 100 dmd pile find a pos block is the same for all

that u did orphan 3 pos blocks in a row was maybe just bad luck too

Ill wait till the 16th.  It is 6 orphaned blocked now...

Is there a new Mac wallet available?  Perhaps I downloaded something incompatible.  My wallet says 2.0.5.5,  I am not quite up to compiling my own.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | Hybrid Security | 25% PoS on: May 13, 2016, 02:36:04 AM
I am new to diamond, I loaded the latest mac wallet, and bought a few hundred off of Bittrex. The wallet has tried to stake 4 times now, and each time the blocks get orphaned. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?  Thanks in advance.

i suggest u wait until 16th

then u check if ur wallet is sync with the same blocknumber as chainz

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/

if yes

then u go into help -> debug -> console
and enter the command

checkwallet

if there are errors visible

the command,

repairwallet

if chain is on correct block
and checkwallet show no troubles u should be able to stake

if u have a diamond.conf

u can try rename that one

and start wallet again (without a conf)

this way we can make sure not some wrong conf entry is the reason

I know you said to wait till the 16th, I checked now and am on the same block if that means anything. I can check also after the 16th.  No errors in the wallet I did the check and repair, both revealed nothing wrong.  I never did setup a conf file as I seem to not have any issues with nodes. Kind of a mystery.

Lol not much of a mystery have you watched the blocks?  the super wallets they sold mixed with the reactor and such. basically throws all the little guys under the bus. your blocks are getting orphaned as too many others are staking non stop. i stated the prob with this months ago so have other users they just nuke it, brush it off. o well, thats what u get.   this coin is a personal profit engine for those rich enough to get in. that is all

If that is the case, I am disappointed.  I had thought I had found a real nice coin.  Bummer.

That is correct

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POS coins on: May 08, 2016, 12:59:58 PM
I would seem CBX get a lot of chat, but TEK gets the votes. TEK has been around for a long time and stakes very well.

Price historically has been decent. (at least until Crapsy crashed...) Now TEK is having a hard time fining a real exchange to list them.  Cryptopia listed TEK, but is not a super well known exchange, YoBits listed TEK, but are now on the wrong fork and is not responding to support tickets.

Keep an eye on TEK. Once they find a home, this proven coin should be a mover.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin Hi-PoS hybrid pos/pow no premine/ipo/ico on: May 08, 2016, 12:27:45 PM
Price is low but  nobody is selling

I went to the YoBit support and gave them the Fork information again. But I have to say, I have an open support ticket with them from the 26th of March that they have never responded to.  I don't have a lot of confidence in YoBit.  Once (if) they get there crap updated I am bailing out of Yobit. They suck.

Joebewan your wallet script is written for Windows ?

Rebuild Wallet Help

My wallet server died, lost the wallets there, but I have backups (not my first rodeo).

I just downloaded wallet 2.4.1.0-TEK
sync'n blockchain
(was going to look for bootstrap, but I've got the time to just let it sync)

So ... exactly whats the procedure to rebuild?  Let it fully sync, then take it offline, copy over the backed up wallet.dat, then run the wallet again?  (its encrypted, so I have to enter the passphrase at some point)

hi, i suggest stop it. put the backup wallet.dat and then run the wallet
this way it syncs/scans as it goes

I thought you didn't want it to stake while it was out of sync?

Done
I ran into that problem in the past, anyway I have it locked, so it wont stake until it's unlocked anyway.
Did the coin Fork yet?  (I'm not sure it matters if I have the correct wallet anyway)
I'm only getting 3 active connections to the network, should I manually add some nodes, or just give it sometime (several hours)?

I wouldn't stake until its in sync.. Smiley

As long as you don't unlock the wallet, it will not stake.  I would definitely put your wallet backup into the directory before allowing the wallet sync.  Also there is no real value in a sync without the bootstrap. It will save tons of time.

So last night I was chatting with Bill from Bittrex and asked him what it would take to get TEK on his exchange, and come to find out.. Thundertoe just needs to have a conversation with him to talk up its good points, Bill is interested to find out more about where where TEK has been and what plans the "Dev" has for the coin... So I ask.. Why hasn't Thundertoe taken the time to ask??
A large exchange would help exposure.

All he needs to do is to take the time to talk with him, and make a good impression.

We made a push towards Bittrex once before, (when Craptsy died). As I recall they wanted to see more volume. I remember Thunder submitting to several exchanges and asking us to do requests too (we also submitted to Polo).  There has been no lack of trying.  If Bittrex has come around and now wants to give us a shot, wow! Understand this is a new development, not a case of just being lazy.

I don't know about all that, but Bill is interested in listening to what Thundertoe has to say, I suppose depending on what his plans are for TEK will have a lot of impact on how the conversation works out. Bill is on Slack daily, so it isn't hard to find him.

That is exciting. I certainly hope Thundertoe contacts Bill.  I am starting to wonder if Yo-Bit is really much of an improvement over Cryptopia.

Just a word of warning to you all.  The folks at YoBit are not responding to a support ticket that I placed on the 26th of March.  I had a buy order in for some coin, and only part of the order exercised, I was charged for the entire order.  I have repeatedly asked for help via the support ticket system, and they are ignoring me.

Hard to want to do business with a outfit that rips you off.  Just saying!
