1081  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Need help to find this con artist on: August 22, 2017, 05:45:38 PM
I have been scammed quite a few times till now but nothing like this one.
So, here is the entire story.

I got scammed last year when I was selling BTC on LBC.

This Indian guy named Ravindra Kumar Tanisha who is from Meerut, UP with mobile number +91-8610443520 used to buy BTC from me. He bought BTC for around 3 weeks from me.

Later on I found that he is a fraud and was selling dogs on quikr and asking those dog buyers to deposit funds into my bank account.

I received money from 10-12 different people from all over India and gave him BTC everytime. I was very honest and never questioned about origin of funds (that was my biggest mistake and I paid a lot of money for it)

After 3 weeks my bank account was frozen and when enquired I found out that one of these dog buyers had opened police complaint against me and police has asked my bank to freeze my account (that's the worst phase of my life till now).

I was in different city and this police order came to my bank from different city. On the very last day when I was about to visit this particular police station to find out more about the case and resolve the issue, I luckily got a call from the girl who has opened this police complaint. After talking with her I found about what was happening and she asked to me refund her money which I did.
Few days later two more buyers contacted me and told the same and asked me to issue them refund which I did.

Till now it's been a loss of INR 70k for me.

So, I need some help to find more about this guy and ask him to refund my btc. He is not picking up my phone calls. I don't have his address and lbc and police didn't help me at all.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You should confront the cops about the situation. You could have also explained what happened to the buyers who got refunds so that maybe they could have worked with you on fixing this issue. If you file a police complaint and give them enough evidence, they may be able to open an investigation against this scammer.
1082  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Found a legit bitcoin double service on: August 22, 2017, 05:19:48 PM
Took me a couple tries to find someone legit to double my bitcoins, and finally another member of this forum recommended this service www.facebook.com/bitcoinDoubleBTC/ and it worked! very surprised it was legit so I thought I'd share with ya'll. I deposited .01 and received .02 then used his double down option to get .04. highly recommended

No you didn't. For all those who are reading this and thinking that they can actually double their bitcoin using this method, stay away from it. Bitcoin doublers simply don't exist. There's no 30 second method to double your life savings so why would you trust something like this with bitcoin? There may be long term investment plans, but even those are not too great because of the bitcoin price fluctuations. You don't know if the value of your investment may go up or down.

This site looks like any other app/site that claims to give out free prizes for those who join and follow their tasks. It can be deceptively simple, but the amount of work one would need to do to get a meaningful amount out if these sites would be too much and not worth it. This guy is just posting to put up his ref link...
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN [ICO] Ultimate Gaming Currency + Virtual Goods Platform on: August 20, 2017, 04:45:17 PM
hello ENJIN community and team
i have seen this project's white paper and its road map this project is quiet interesting
specially in mobile game world. if you do same like you explained in the road map then believe it you gonna rock in crypto world
wish you best of luck

I agree with the mobile game world. I believe that this has a chance to take off in the PC gaming world, but I think this could be aimed at mobile games too. If you're accepted as forms of payment for super large games like Clash of Clans or Clash Royale, you'll be able to spread the knowledge of Enjin Coin.
1085  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitcoin investment experience on: August 20, 2017, 04:37:43 PM

if everybody share their experiences and try not to hide their sources of investment

we will be fine ...

If this is real, Congratulations!

If not (which is what I expect), then there is no point in sharing your website here. There is a referral link somewhere here in the forums just post there. Also, from what I see about what others are saying the site you posted is fishy. To everyone reading this thread I'd suggest staying away for now.
1086  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Free Hourly Crypto Price Alerts? on: August 19, 2017, 09:10:50 PM
Just looking for price alerts for BTC and BCH sent every hour or maybe every few hours.

Any free tools for this? email or sms is fine

I think you can write this pretty simply yourself. Use the live updating data from preev for btc if needed. You can pull that info and send it as a notification to your own email or use a service for sms'ing it to yourself. Also one other thing is that if you simply search btc to usd on google, you should be able to get a quick update directly on the browser.

I am interested in this too, can you give us a guide on how we can make this happen? I'd like an SMS straight to my phone every hour or a defined time.
This is a pretty good idea, especially I always watch the prices if it is going up or down but sometimes I forget to watch the prices and I lose the
opportunity to buy or sell.

Sure. You can pull data from preev for example. FIlter out the data for what you need -- the btc to usd conversion amount. Then use AWS or Heroku to implement an sms system that sends updates to your messages. Here are some resources you can look into for the sms part: https://elements.heroku.com/addons/blowerio

http://docs.aws.amazon.com/sns/latest/dg/SMSMessages.html

Also, you need to make sure all this keeps repeating over and over again so that you don't end up stopping the notification alerts.

1088  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Other Bitcoin forum on: August 18, 2017, 08:36:12 PM
For me, there are no others for this forum. There is everything I need - lots of information and a great way to earn money.
In other forums this is not

I think you're missing out on the point of what other forums can bring to the picture. There are a limited amount of people here. Sure, it's growing, but the amount of information and the perspectives that can be shared on this forum are limited based on the user group. When going to other forums, you end up meeting and talking to people with different opinions and even different products for sale. The multiple forums available on the web are a great means of getting to know this unique info because here it may seem repetitive.
1089  Economy / Digital goods / Re: SELLING MY AMAZON GIFT CARD BALANCE on: August 18, 2017, 07:26:58 PM
Hi, I have amazon gift card balance, who wants to buy? pm me.

I can transfer the balance as:

* Gift of Prime. You need an existing prime (free subscription works). $33 and $99

* Gift of Kindle Unlimited. You don't need any paid subscriptions. $60, $120

thankis

This is the wrong section for what you want to sell. This should be in the digital goods section or maybe the services section. Also with the Amazon balance and gift cards, generally people offer a discount. People are normally only prepared to pay at most 90% of the Amazon value. Keep this in mind when selling.
1090  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there a need for more escrows on this forum? on: August 18, 2017, 06:51:12 PM
for our sake, i think that we need more escrow. but i think there are a lot of escrower here in bitcointalk that offering their service.
so how about we promote the trusted escrow that we already use? for clearing uneasy when newcomer dealing with the escrower. and make the rate go better

Actually, there is a compiled list and there are escrow groups that are on the services forum. People actually have started to hear about the best escrows through word of mouth when one deal gets done by a friend or other trader. And I do agree, escrows can be a seemingly confusing topic for a bitcoin forum newcomer. I think rates are something that people worry about because of the transaction % that miner fees can cost. Escrow fees are not generally too tough on the wallet.
1091  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: fall of bitcoin Necessary............bitcoin is a threat For the dollar on: August 18, 2017, 06:46:57 PM
Bitcoin will never fail because bitcoin network will remain healthy because it is self stable. All of the bitcoin trading platform are centralized one so government can easily shutdown or monitor them and it is quite risky to save your bitcoin/crypto there. So what we need now is decentralized exchange that can work as perfect as current centralized exchange platform and can handle large trading volume. We have bitsquare which is decentralized exchange platform but it is still in development.

I think your first statement here is quite naive. Everything can rise up and everything can fall. Bitcoin is a very unstable currency, as we can tell from the initial rise a couple years ago to about 1000$ and then the insane drop that occurred right after. Bitcoin was close to 200$ then. If this currency can depreciate so quickly, I don't think it's fair to say that it will never fail.
1092  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't Spend Too Much Time Trading? is that true? on: August 18, 2017, 06:28:22 PM
well to make alot of many you need a lot of time doing one thing or the other...in my view for a trader u need to watch the makert at all time if you can...i know people who employe people to just sit and watch the market....so it totly how much trade u r looking in to

In trading you require complete understand of Bitcoin and its market . It require skills to analysis and do forecasting which will help you buy at the lower rate and sell at high. If you understand the forecasting you can make lot of money else you may otherwise even lose it .

Yes and through that needed understanding you end up spending a lot of time researching and making your own opinions on investments. To answer OP's title question I think that there is no way to properly trade and be in profit if you don't spend ample time on signals. It's a very involved process which is why there are so many people who have dedicated jobs just about this.
1093  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there a need for more escrows on this forum? on: August 18, 2017, 06:20:05 PM
I think we need more escrow in this forum cause the number of trusted member is too little with the number of deal or transaction made everyday Smiley)). That why sometime we have to wait too long to make a deal using escrow so some person often make a deal without escrow and it's the main reason why a lot of people in this forum scammed Smiley
That is not a reason, the real reason that many people do not use escrow is because this generates an additional cost and they are trying to save a few dollars by not using escrow then when they get scammed they blame everyone other than themselves because they thought they can deal with bitcoin without escrow and that they were not going to get scammed.

I definitely don't agree with this statement simply because there are a lot of free escrows available. People often just want to get by the transaction time in my opinion. They want to get their trades done super quickly.
1094  Economy / Marketplace / Re: question on money making guides on: August 17, 2017, 12:47:49 AM
There is no guide to make you rich. But the best is to go in the past and buy bitcoins for 5 cents Smiley

You are underestimating guides, guides are helpful if you have a read a very good guide on making money. And it can even help you to become rich but yes to become rich to buy bitcoins before is one of the best thing but we can't go back to the past now. We need to keep going and look for the possible chance of making money from our own.

Sure, but the point is, that if there is a really good guide that can genuinely make you a boatload of cash, the person who created it would have no reason to sell it on this forum... A lot of these guides can get saturated and that's when there are a couple of problems -- the guide stops working for the creator who put so much time into it, and it also stops working for everyone he just sold it to.
1095  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best youtubechannels and twitteraccs for trading on: August 16, 2017, 08:28:22 PM
Please recommend some youtubechannels for tradinginformations (how to read charts, indicators and...) and twitteraccs for signals, thank you!

For free, I'm not sure what you can get online. I know some people do have groups where you can pay to be added to it and they post their signals there. However, this is a gamble as well. You're essentially just letting someone else gamble with your money by trading.
1096  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is that possible to earn bitcoin with Youtube Channel? on: August 16, 2017, 08:24:26 PM
Well based on my research it is impossible to earn bitcoin in youtube channel as of now because they are using bitcoin as a mode of payment to their members, but soon it will definitely can earn bitcoins in youtube Smiley

Sure, you can't make bitcoin off of Youtube as a primary form of payment. However, as I'm sure you may know, you can transfer your money from your Youtube account to Paypal, then use Paypal to purchase Bitcoin on marketplaces. This can be slightly risky, but also another downside of this is that you have to pay a cut (li9ke 5-15%) to get the paypal to bitcoin.
1097  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to start selling and buying goods on Marketplace? on: August 14, 2017, 10:48:21 PM

Hi, are there any links or previous created topics re buying/selling goods on market place?

Tnx.

If you're wondering about how to get started, then there are many options you can take.

If you're selling something that is singular/not a method, just post it, find an escrow, and get the one time deal done. If you're trying to sell a method, try to find something unique. It will sell well and try your best to make sure people don't try to steal the same idea from you.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN [ICO] Ultimate Gaming Currency + Virtual Goods Platform on: August 13, 2017, 07:08:13 AM
It does look like a coordinated attack.

I believe that Enjin would get through it though, as it seems that they haven't let down their replies.
Thanks for the clarification on all the above issues. Raises confidence and am looking forward to the crowdsale.

Yes, enjin has done a good job with responding to the questions thoroughly. I even noticed that a couple of times they went above and beyond and asked a user to join a hangouts group with the members who were supposedly fake workers. Hopefully this works out for the project creators and doners.
1099  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CLOUDBET SCAM on: August 13, 2017, 06:59:19 AM
I used to use cloudbet in the past but these threads seemingly always pop up. I've never had an issue with payment in cloudbet; however, the amount that you are dealing with in this scenario is much more than I ever invested. It's possible that cloudbet is holding onto larger amounts of Bitcoin rather than the smaller withdrawals.
