241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2015, 05:02:57 PM
I don't think crypto is even close to taking center stage. Not enough people know of bitcoin, not enough people understand bitcoin, and we won't see widespread adoption until we've solved a few issues. How many users does the entirety of cryptocurrency have? Do we even go into the million? I think bitcoin is going to be widely recognized by 2020, widely used and understood by 2030.

And here I was thinking my accidental LTC purchase would pay off. If only the transaction had been confirmed 12 hours earlier...
Hey, we overshot my $284 prediction, cool! Cool Another step to $320+ and leaving the $200-$299 range behind once and for all!

Just give BTC 10 more months. $500, here we come!
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 09, 2015, 07:49:57 PM
I am waiting for my transaction for over 4hours now and still no confirmation... Payed the regular fees...

Jesus.. we need bigger blocks yesterday.

I've been waiting for my accidental LTC purchase to go through since yesterday. Patience. Worst case scenario, it goes through 2 days from now.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin predictions. on: July 09, 2015, 05:04:50 PM
Wow, litecoin is not slowing down. I think we're probably in for some double-digit-litecoins. Maybe we'll see $10 before August?
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 09, 2015, 04:45:35 PM
so the blockchain is basically not usable with normal fees currently?

Looks like a $0.05 fee should be enough to get a transaction through in a pair of blocks. According to Blockchain.info, we're at about half as many unconfirmed transactions as today, and yesterday, somebody recommended a 10 cent fee.
247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 09, 2015, 04:05:31 AM
When do you think the transactions are going to clear up?

I think it would be great if they never clear up. Bigger fees only make sense.

The average fee for the 22800 pending transactions is .000128 BTC or 3.4 cents per transaction.

Anyone who wants to get a transaction processed in the next block or two only needs to have a $0.10 (.00037 BTC) fee and it should be just fine. The way I look at it, if you don't think it's worth it to pay 10 cents to process your transaction on the most secure network on the planet, then use a less secure alternative. The higher the average fee goes, the less chance of spam attacks and low value transactions bloating the Blockchain.

I haven't had much experience, so I ask: is it common for services to let you determine the transaction fee when withdrawing? Because I've only seen that option in one of the... three bitcoin-related services I've used.

$260 remains an interesting price. We're building on top of the April 2013 high.

I call below 260 within 48 hours.

24 hours remaining... Smiley

$260 never no more

>Yes, that is the current year. Congratulations.
>We prefer the term "chart enthusiasts", thank you very much. Please dont use racial slurs.
>The chart is not about the trendlines, it's about my own opinion on what I think Litecoin will do, not where the "trendlines" (those are lines that I pulled out of my ass to help illustrate what I think will happen) originate.

Feel free to publish better charts. Or you can keep bitching about free content.

Can you make a chart like that for BTC/LTC pairing instead of LTC/USD? May be more informative if bitcoin keeps rising as it will probably take the dollar value of litecoin with it.

It's not the same or equivalent to the first graph, but these more or less illustrate what I think will happen.

i missed that rise to 274 .. i'm not sure what to do yet anyways. its dangerous out there right now.

Buy some litecoins.... a month ago.

Well, I just accidentally bought 0.8 LTC now... What do I do!?

254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin predictions. on: July 08, 2015, 02:17:20 PM
I think we will see double digits in $ before the halving. LTC will break it's ATH  (in BTC) ...

Let's hope so, I just accidentally bought 0.8 LTC, wanting to buy 0.08. Woops. I hope it pays off!

Also, what's that about "signed messages" I keep hearing at the bitcointalk account sales discussions?
Thanks in advance for the answer(s). Cool

Where is Rand Paul on this entire ordeal? I think yall should get with him or ask him about his heretofore stances.\

To be honest, I havent heard about him since he said he would accept bitcoin for his campaign donations.

PS: bitcoin's not performing? Are we looking at the same charts? It's gone up 14% in price in a month. Just a few more jolts upwards, above $320, and we'll be on our way up-up-up. Also, we may have broken above the log downtrend line, but we havent broken away from it. For that, we need to go past $280.

Donald Trump is like any other hypocrite, liar, etc. etc. I just hope that when (not if, when) bitcoin makes me rich, my character wont be deteriorated  Undecided
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Litecoin predictions. on: July 08, 2015, 02:11:44 AM
So, litecoin is dead. Long live litecoin!

Anyways, we've all noticed the speculative boom that Litecoin has received these months preceding its halving. Litecoin has quadrupled it's price over the last 8 weeks. This boom seems to be mostly fueled by speculation about Litecoin's price past the halving, and I believe that the price cant rise much more, probably not above $6 or $7. So I drew a few lines that predict a few scenarios when it comes down to what LTC's price will do these following months.
For those who have trouble understanding the following image, here are a few predictions for the next 8 months.

By November, the price will have dropped to $4.70, $4.50, or $3.50. From there, it might go to $3.70 by December. By March 2016, the price will go to ether $3.65, $5.40 or $5.53

Nice trading! Cheesy
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 07, 2015, 09:31:03 PM
Hmm, guys... I suspect we're never seeing $230 or below ever again. We'll see 60 days from now.

PS: nice to see $260 holding across exchanges. I was hoping we'd see the price hold at $270 today, and go to $280+ tomorrow.

What's that about a signed message? I see when I'm checking here from time to time. I thought I'd figure it out, but I cant seem to  Tongue
