222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How serious is BTC to you? on: November 13, 2016, 12:20:29 PM
I think it's becoming less profitable for individuals to mine, so I can see why people only do it as hobby. It's probably more profitable to just invest in bitcoin.

The big mining companies are making profit while mining btcs, what doesn't worth anymore is the solo miner or the cloud mining investiment.
But I agree with you, who is mining by himself today is doing it for hobby, because it's not profitable anymore.
Some persons try their luck mining alt-coins also, because they can sell it tomorrow or later for a more expensive price.
Jus't don't get it with those who do mining but not profitable, what are they looking for ??

I personally used bitcoin mostly as payment method i prefer to transaction with bitcoin than other payment method especially credit card, but i also selling them to the fiat when the price is increase, however bitcoin is my side job, i'm not a miner, programmer or developer, only transaction and trade with them.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For what was Bitcoin created? on: November 12, 2016, 02:04:57 PM
Acording to satoshis statemant, we can understand why he created bitcoin???

"I've been working on a new electronic cash system that's fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party."

It's clearly that bitcoin was created to be a decentralized currency, so no one or any instution controll it, i strongly believe he just want to a freedom.
224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to get started on learning how to trade? on: November 06, 2016, 01:02:34 PM
Like people said google is the best teacher for you.
However you can learning and practice what you've learned by open a demo account maybe in etoro or try sparkprofit it's kind of game where you have to predict that the price will down or up, Just my suggestion.
225  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Engraved wallet into jewellery on: November 06, 2016, 12:49:22 PM
Looks nice, what kind of jewelery? a ring or a ring is too small?

Well, hope she can use/hold the jewel for decades and pass it to your childrens in the future Wink someone will enjoy the bitcoin
well this is quite interesting, but i like if the wallet or qr code is stapled on necklace where it covered with glass and if you want to use it or scan the qr code you should crack it, you know it such a cute gift for your girfriend or your wife and maybe someday you could pass it to your childrens in the future.
Just my thought.
226  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which online wallet should i use ? on: November 06, 2016, 07:21:21 AM
I believe that Xapo wallet don't have fees...

You can move you thread to here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=222.0 or search for more info in this section about web wallets.
Does not Xapo charge anything for on chain transactions? How do they cover the cost?

I never understood this too lol to be honest I don't use Xapo...

Maybe they have an card service, so the free fee thing can attract people to use their debit card, something like that.
On the FAQ section of xapo they have written that they are paying the fees of transaction for their members as they care for their members and that is right I am using it and I do not pay any fees for any transaction. You can try that you will notice the same as I am saying.

I think xapo is the one of the very few who doesn't charges transaction fees, here in my country local bitcoin wallet address providers & exchange doesn't charge either.

And why you are afraid to be charged $0.15 per transaction if you are earning great amount for it. I guess that just think that it is somehow your donation to maintain their website running.
$0.15 means 0.0002 BTC is not a problem but recently I noticed that blockchain has charged me about 0.001 BTC which is equal to about $0.70 and for some users that amount is also a higher amount and there is also a fear that it will increase more in the future.
As far as i know the fee goes up based on the size of your transaction, so if you have many inputs/outputs in your transaction the size becomes bigger that's why you have to pay more to send it in order to get fast confirmation, however the fee can be adjust but when the fee is lower than recommended fee it caused the confirmation is longer. You should check this site https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ in order to get information about fastest and cheapest fee right now and which fee you should use.
227  Economy / Marketplace / Re: can i sell my goods here ? i am DSJ Apple store owner on: November 06, 2016, 07:12:37 AM
hii i am DSJ Appls store owner.. i am whole seller of apple iphones.. so can i sell my goods here.. means can i sell my apple iphones here for BTC.. i want to start accepting bitcoin and i have registered here for sell my apple products here for bitcoin and how can i sell my goods here.. i will provide worldwide shiping delvery of iphone..
There is an official site or market of your company i just trying for surfing for find them bu a lot of them are already expired or not active.
Exactly, create a new site ( if you don't have ) it makes your service look more profesional then open new tread here on good section, you might make it clear like detail of your products, shipping cost since this is international forum and also additional fee for escrow purpose. However you can open service on other forum to like thebot they also accept bitcoin.
228  Economy / Economics / Re: Paying taxes on forum? on: October 30, 2016, 01:38:21 PM
Do you think that people who offer some services here on forum and make money from it (like exchangin Bitcoin, offering lending services, web design, translations etc.) are also obliged to report that to their local authorities and pay tax?
i have worked as a freelancer since 2014, i have done many projects to be translated in to my native language and get paid with bitcoin, but i don't give a penny for government in this case paying tax, however our government has regulate the source of income from the internet like from youtube and instagram to be taxable, but with pseudonymous of the bitcoin i don't need to worry about that.
229  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Nodio. Your digital guardian. on: October 30, 2016, 09:50:37 AM

Your announcement is amazing. If you are really honest team of developers/engineers then your project might be next big thing and a staple tool for anyone concerned about internet security.
But as always, our community might be a bit harsh because, frankly speaking we have scams happening everyday. You need a lot of effort to convince people that you are legit.

that's true and this on is most probably scam.  -Greed- laid out some point to think about. and you scammers already know people here can already fall for some ICO with the dev team being so anonymous and photoshopped images.
Well i don't know if this really scam, but the community are tired with scam ICO even though they have good design of thread ( your design of announcement is amazing btw ), yeah we are very careful and selective especially to invest our money on some new project.
But if you provide some different and usefull project and convince people i think the community might be interested on it.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What stops you from opening a local bitcoin exchange business? on: October 30, 2016, 09:32:44 AM
Besides the security issue of handling lots of money in public what's stopping people who are familiar with bitcoin from opening a 'local bitcoin guy' business charging 10-15% for changing cash into btc?  This would be the same service people list on Mycelium Local Trader and localbitcoin.com.
First of all there is a big competitor here, bitcoin exchanger with best service also there are some people open they service with lowest fee than that exchanger.
As for me there is no way to open your own service unless you have a unique or maybe offering lowest fee than their fee. On the other hand you must have big capital to start this business.
231  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Anybody knows where else to sell digital goods? on: October 23, 2016, 01:36:43 PM
Hi mate,
For me I guess it is better to put your DIGITAL GOODS  in one site, make one website or just make a blog regarding to your selling items, and it will be more easier to post and make some advertisement on your own for that items.
Or better make an online Shop and put an option that you accept bitcoins so that even in local area where you belong can see your items too.
But most of these is put your selling items in the GOOD Section of the Forum and also try to visit other forums also just like this open to the public.

well this Idea could work for a large size business. for a person who has lots of digital goods and good also.
but for an individual who sells digital goods, like domains, games, accounts, and a small seller, making a site won't work. because a marketplace site cast him so much money.
Agree unless if you have a good seo, but i doubt since google page rank #1 full of with advertiser especially if you're selling digital goods like domain the number one must be the big competitor like namecheap or bigdady and others, however having website is a good though to make your service more professional, i recommend you to sell them on forum to forum like thebot or blackhatworld something since there so many visitors out there ands it's completely free.
232  Economy / Economics / Re: How to deal with the "bitcoin has no physical existence" argument? on: October 23, 2016, 12:53:55 PM
If you talked about Bitcoin with your friends you most likely already listened to this "argument".
It's not false, Bitcoin has in fact no physical existence, but nor does the printed money we call fiat.
The question is then on how to deal with this argument, in a short and easily understandable way, without scare them of by knowing the bills on their wallet are no more than regular papers representing x units of the virtual currency y, which is backed by thin air and its supply is limited only by the paper and ink in stock or the printing capacities of the machine that does them?
I always heard this from many of my friends they were skeptical about bitcoin has no physical existence.
However i don't like if bitcoin has physical existence i mean being virtual is fun than has physical existence, you don't need a place to store them and aware of loosing it (if you keep your private key safe) and it's obviously better than physical then i explained to them actually bitcoin can turned to physical like paper wallet or physical bitcoin, but still with virtual is the best.
233  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Did you already lose your BTCs on an online Wallet? on: October 23, 2016, 12:35:16 PM
Many people say that online wallets aren't trustful and that it's easy to steal your BTCs from there. No safe and guarantees.

I would like to know if you already had any problems with this kind of wallet, specially, Blockchain.info. Were you hacked or anything like that?
I don't have any problem with blockhain.info but there was DNS attack 2 Weeks ago if iam not wrong and the site was offline about few hours, i'am just worried about my balance out there, i can't access my money thanks god it's working now but it makes me scared what if the site is offline or dissapeared or maybe the site is hacked.

While other wallet i have problem with xapo, my account was locked but that's not a big deal since there was only little amount out there so that i don't need to recover it.

I used blockhain info only for storing spendable amount and hard wallet for storing huge amount.
234  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How do you know when a site tries to scam you? on: October 23, 2016, 12:25:57 PM
I am writing about the sites where you have to make a deposit before buy and the site offers to act as a MM in deals.

How could I know when they are trying to scam me? In general, how do I know if a MM site is trusted?
First of all i would looking for the vouch i mean search on google and read the review however this is not 100% trusted since it's easy to create fake comments or review but if the site is bitcoin related i am going to find some review on this forum especially from the trusted member to make sure that the site is not scam. I would invest only on popular site but it doesn't mean that the site wouldn't turn to scam, let say the possibility to scam is 50% even for the big and popular exchanger right now, just don't invest more than you can afford to lose.
235  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: new blockchain platform-- Excelsia on: October 23, 2016, 12:10:16 PM
Excelsia is  Next Generation Blockchain Platform for Decentralized Applications! it is Project Name!  Hope we  can  bring innovation for this industry. we call it as Bitcoin Version X

So it would be like altcoin of the bitcoin like bitcoin classic.
I just don't get it, you've just mentioned excelsia and then Bitcoin version X, what is the difference between them anyway, i might be interested on new project especially on blockchain development, i truly believe that people could develop blockhain technology in order to make something smart or usefull.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix Executive Wants Bitcoin as Global Currency on: October 23, 2016, 11:57:13 AM
As mentioned in the Press subforum, this wasn't a recent comment by the executive.  Both CoinDesk and Cryptocoinnews both published this story back in January when the comment was initially made that it "sure would be nice to have bitcoin".  I'm still baffled as to why CoinTelegraph have only just put up an article about it now, when it happened 10 months ago.  Unless they know something we don't, it doesn't look like Netflix are any closer to accepting BTC as payment.
well it's an old news right?
you're right untill now Netflix doesn't accepting bitcoin as their payment processor or maybe they won't accept it well we don't know what exactly happened out there, by not accepting bitcoin it's kind of they showed the opposite attitude towards their CEO's statement.
however i really like if netflix accept bitcoin it really help us to subscribe on their service. Hoping they will adopt bitcoin.
237  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Would anyone be interested in a PTC/GPT Website? on: October 22, 2016, 01:40:12 PM
Based on my friends exprience with the GPT site that he has built, he spent lot of money in beginning for promotion purpose, yeah you know what i mean no one knows or care about your site, unless you tell them in this case is promote it and it needs more budget, however the hardest part was treat your members right and build loyalty , anyway the gpt site is better than ptc, people are too bored clicked ads, watching videos or playing games is a good way to earn money in GPT site, as for me, i might be limited to a strict budget when i want to start this business.
238  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: October 22, 2016, 01:12:26 PM
Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card.

Xapo, Coinbase and Circle, they are all "bitcoin banks", if someone doesn't like them, they don't have to use them...
You're right!!
I personally disagree with this idea, seriously why do we have to giving access to people where they can freeze or lock our money anytime, it's kind of making bitcoin centralized. It's better to own your money on your pocket, you have ultimate control over it and no one can freeze it whatever you do even do something ilegall.
239  Economy / Economics / Re: How much money do you have left from your job? on: October 22, 2016, 08:10:25 AM
I want to talk about salaries. How much $ do you have left after paying taxes, rent, and basic expenses (electricity, water)
I get $10 000/y like a fucking slave
My spending basic is $5 000 / year, including food, $2 500 without food
I live in the former SSSR
Another reason to move away

Like a slave? Don't despise your job man, there are millions of people that have a dream to have the salary $10,000 yearly, which means $833 every month, this is also based on the place people live but it's not bad 10k yearly.
833 dollars every month is huge amount if you live in 3rd country, mostly people here get paid with around 120 dollars  and it was enough to pay all the necessities, such as rent, food for one month and the rest could be save, due to the everything are cheap here.
You must be gratefull have a job with salary 10k dollars yearly.
240  Other / Off-topic / Re: if you could change one thing about btc, what would that be? on: October 22, 2016, 07:46:28 AM
if you could change one thing about btc, what would that be?
Would you make it safer?
How would you develop the btc trading?
Well if i could change one thing about bitcoin, maybe there are two things that i would like to change, the confirmation time and transaction fee, bitcoin would be perfect if the confirmation time is faster, while the transaction fee the fee should be determined and equated to all transactions, once i sent the transaction it instantly confirmed, however tansactions can be processed without fees, but trying to send free transactions can require waiting days or weeks.
