281  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Bitcoin wallets are best to use? on: September 25, 2016, 05:49:31 AM
the obvious thing is that using online wallets is not safe. From desktop wallets i prefere Multibit.. just because i use him from years without problems, but as i know it will be better to use Electrum.
Exactly, i prefer to use offline wallet than online wallet, but it's ok for storing spendable amount in online wallet due to it's simplicity.

I saw a lot people recommending blockchain.info, coinbase, and localbitcoin wallet, I suggest to all newbie to try Bitcoin Core or Election to experience what is difference between offline and online wallet.
Yes because blockchain.info is one of the most oldest and safest bitcoin wallet nowadays and  it will more secured now that you can sign a message to provide your identity of the address here in bitcointalk.org i love using it is easy to use and it is not hard to use anyway Smiley
not the safest, what if the site is offline??
if you want to storing high amount of your bitcoin i don't recommend to storing it on online wallet, desktop or hardwallet is  more safe than online wallet.

283  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What kind of service/business would you create if you had funding and.... on: September 25, 2016, 05:22:42 AM
If there's someone want to fund my dreams, i would like to build the website that people can watching their favorite movies and their favorite videos and get paid with bitcoin, or a sing competiton that winner will be paid in bitcoin, i think this idea need some little amount for the website, but it needs much money to promote it and make it popullar.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chicago Students Get Free BTC For Educational Purposes on: September 25, 2016, 05:04:19 AM
The Blockchain Education Network (BEN) has announced a Bitcoin airdrop to four Chicago Universities today. This year BEN’s “Back-to-School Blockchain Initiative” has spread to more cities than ever before to show students the power of cryptocurrency.

https://news.bitcoin.com/chicago-students-free-btc-educational/
From the article:
Quote
"According to a recent report from the Boston Globe despite a $500,000 in Bitcoin giveaway cash and credit cards still ruled the roost on campus. The article seemed awfully bias towards downsizing the benefits of cryptocurrency education."
Who pays for this? Half a million dollars is a lot of money to give away.
Quote
3,110 students signed up
$150 per person. In any currency, that is nice for students.
Although that is not from the reliable site, i will giving my appreciate. but i don't believe if that is a real things, because $500000 it's a much amount and that's will not effective caused by the student is just wanna for joining the educational caused by money.
it could be possible, however that's lot of money if they're giving that amount only for one person, it will be effective if they're just giving 15 dollars or maybe 5 dollars for a student, anyway this actually good step to introducing bitcoin to the mass, especially for the student, since they more interested on some new technology.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can disappear? on: September 24, 2016, 09:47:24 AM
dont ever think that bitcoin will disappear if there's no solid reason.bitcoin has a good and strong foundation. and it is very popular, there are too many user of bitcoin around the globe.so don't think that it will be scam like the other copycat although the price is so volatile but still its very solid.
bitcoin will never disappear due to the bitcoin can't be destroyed and as long as the internet connection is exist people still used it even there are many competitor out there the community still big, however the adoption of the bitcoin might be decrease in future if the competitor and their price high than bitcoin, i hope my predicition will be wrong.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can monkeys adopt bitcoin? The 7-step roadmap on: September 23, 2016, 03:43:16 PM
cool, but it would be better if we could make someting like this for the blind people or for those with special needs, so they can adopted bitcoin like us, i think lets make human first adopted bitcoin before make animal adopt it, i never seen blind people transaction with the bitcoin before, anyway your idea is cool, however i couldn't imagine if someday monkey could adopt bitcoin.
287  Economy / Economics / Re: Is gold better than Bitcoin? on: September 23, 2016, 03:14:35 PM
I wouldnt compare wheter bitcoin or gold is better coz i know both better in their own way, gold was used by people since thousand years ago, and it is a symbol of the richness, however gold is suitable for those who want to storing their asets due to the golds price is stable, for long term investment gold is a good choice, bitcoin it might be risky but its quite fast to make a profit, for short investment bitcoin is a good solution, but the point is you will always make profit if you hold limited things.
288  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon and bitcoins on: September 19, 2016, 01:09:21 PM
Why has amazon not added bitcoin as one of their payment options?

Are there any risks associated with buying and selling on amazon with bitcoins?
Maybe they think payment processing that they used it right now is more than enough and they don't need to add bitcoin as payment method, however there are service or 3rd party that you can buy stufs on amazon with your bitcoin like purse,io
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you vote for a possible president that support Bitcoin? on: September 19, 2016, 02:59:27 AM
No, there are so many consideration to vote a candidate, just because the possible president support bitcoin it doesn't mean i'll vote him or her, there are so many aspects that we must thinking carefully before vote them, however he/she that support bitcoin might be a good candidate as we can see he/she support the new technology which is a good point for them but back to the point besides they support the bitcoin there are many aspects that we must consider also.

291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Running a exchange is a very active job on: September 18, 2016, 05:07:23 PM
i know CEO of our local exchanger he's not busy since he has lot of workers in his company that handle everything on that exchanger,  he's just controlled his staff in order to make their service is stable, however they, owner spent lot of money and time when they created their exchanger in the begining, now they're just watching what they've created.
292  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can we see coin mixing services as money laundering services ? on: September 18, 2016, 11:11:17 AM
There's always negative and positve, however the mixng service just provide a service in order to protect the anonymity due to the bitcoin transaction itself is pseudonymous, they don't care those money where came from,is money laundering? or something else ? what can i say it's depends on people who use it, but the most important this business will never die, at least bitcoin transaction being anonymous like monero but i think it's impossible.

295  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcoin affects life a lot on: September 18, 2016, 08:37:55 AM
however it's kind of addiction, not only bitcoin, cryptocurrency exactly when you buy bitcoin or altcoin and the price get pumped by 10x or even more there's such a fun experience , but sometimes it caused heart attack when you hold high amount and the price get dumped, my back is always sick siting more than 16 hours daily in the front of the computer.
296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The safest wallet? on: September 18, 2016, 08:24:43 AM
how funny when people mentioned that blockchain.info is safest wallet and even there's someone said it's an official wallet it's obvious that they're lacking the relevant knowledge, ever wondering? why do blockchain, info is not covered on https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet ,however i used it for storing my spendable amount, but for the safest wallet i'm going with offline wallet in this case paper wallet or hardware wallet.

298  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: My first bitcoin startup on: September 17, 2016, 11:04:46 PM
#1 - A trading site

not bad, but you must have big capital and more budget to promote it since there so many competitor out there. the lowest fee might be attracted people to join your site.

#2 - A lending website

i'm not really sure with this idea but i think it's too risky,

#3 -A custom t-shirt website

as a designer i like this idea, and love the competiton but i'm afraid this is not going well i saw simillar project like this.

Just in my opinion.
299  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: September 17, 2016, 10:31:46 PM
Why pay for porn?there is a lot of free site outthere
you are right, im wondering why a lot of people are still paying for it, i think the main reason might be the quality
Sometimes people throw away money just in frustration. U can not always get a justification.
also for the live show, there are some liveporn site  that accepted bitcoin as payment like xo*ika, there was an interesting experience when paying Liveshow , you're like directing your own movie, you can do everything you want, that's why people are still paying for the porn and bitcoin is the best payment method due to the it's anonymity.
300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Preferred method of buying Bitcoin?? on: September 17, 2016, 10:06:44 PM
i used localbitcoin and also our local exchanger for trading bitcoin, the different between them is on fee, i prefer to used localbitcoin than exchanger due to the seller that i found on localbitcoin has small fee's than exchanger has, fast service and trusted. Never had experienced with the coinbase before btw.
