It probably dates back to the Silk Road and the fact that for most people Bitcoin and crypto currencies are synonymous. Most people I know are pretty surprised to hear that there are other "Alt Coins" etc.
I think it will be very hard to shake that reputation

You could consider using a password manager, like last pass, this has a facility to give someone else access to details in the event that you become uncontactable.
This is actually a pretty serious problem though!

It depends on a combination of your outlook and how much bitcoin you have, if you have a serious amount then perhaps you should consider living a little and spending some of it, if you have a little and you are trying to accumulate for the future maybe hold for now. Not an easy one size fits all answer.

Got the PUZ dev thanks,
Can I make a suggestion about the Windows wallet build? IT would be much more convenient for most windows users if the file was a .ZIP instead of a .TGZ
Best wishes with the project, I am sure it will have a great future.

My mommy told me not to ask to see what went into making sausages, bit I must know, I just must, I must , I must. How exactly is the sausages TOKENIZE, and how do you make sure that one fella sausage isn't bigger than another fellas sausages, that can happen without transparency in this airdrop - I see you have published the spreadsheet - but we need to see more - we need to see whats in the sausages.

This has been a really rock solid performance in less than a week. I am so happy to be involved in this from the beginning, I can really see it going places - what eBTC has achieved in less than a week, I honestly expected would take 3 months. There is a long road ahead yet, wait for this to start getting adopted and used int he way satoshi21 suggested, then it will be 50 - 100X value from today based on pure utility.
This is so exciting.

i tried to calculate how much would i make from bitcoin mining using an antminer s9, and i don't think it's worth it for me as the cost of electricity is high where i live, which is in the UK (it's 20 cents approx), i make like $300 profit a year. and obviously i can't use faucets as that will take years to get one bitcoin. so is the only way to even get any value from bitcoin is to buy it and hold it on for another few years? but it is a risky investment due to the price. or should i invest in new currencies that are cheap right now and have potential to grow to $4k a coin? There are several strategies that you could employ, most will depend on your level of risk tolerance and skill. I have seen some people successfully employ a tactic of say investing an amount in BTC when they perceive the price to be not too high and wait for a rise, when they get a rise of pre decided amount (taking emotion out) they sell half of their holding and then wait for a retrenchment, buy in, rinse and repeat. Sometimes this can work, but it does require a lot of work and constantly watching.

Here is a youtube explainer for EtherDelta thats pretty helpful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kx-sCuQzODw

About 24 hours ago I made a prediction that eBTC was likely to increase in value, my prediction was that from its price yesterday of $0.04 / $0.05 it could easily 10X to reach $0.50 in price before 2017 was over.
WELL I WAS WRONG
It might do that and much more before the day is over - can't type too busy watching the screen.

This is a fantastic achievement for eBTC. Less than a week old and it has already inspired some fantastic followers who have moved mountains to bring it to life. I see some people asking about purpose and function, take a look at the website, take a look at Ethereum, what purpose would you like eBTC to fulfil? Its all possible right now! To everyone who is working hard on this in the background know that there are many more people wishing you on. I personally have high hopes for where this project is going to go and I am HODLing long term because for some unknown reason - call it faith - I feel this is going to be one hell of a ride. How far will the ride go? Who know yet, for starters comparing eBTC to some of the Zombie coins and tokens available it would not need to do very much to achieve a top 100 spot in https://coinmarketcap.com/tokens/ this should not be a particular obstacle in 2017 looking at the effort that is being put into this Token. That my friends would be a 10X ride from where we are today. Thats before we even get down to business and hear something interesting from @satoshi21 on his White Paper development. I dont think any of us aspire to be competing with ZombiesI think there is a much bigger, brighter future out there for eBTC. I think this is 100X project with a year or so (that would be approx $100M cap) and beyond that who knows. Well done to everyone involved and thank you satoshi21 I am looking forward to the journey

Hi Dev
Same question as above, Been sitting waiting and no airdrops.
Just wondering?
|
|
|
Monero has 1880 pages of comments in more than 3 years, DeepOnion has 1338 pages of comments in 3 months, the expectations of DeepOnion grow with such an active community, in 3 years it will be the most commented currency in bitcointalk, the sky is the limit. ..
The one to pass is Dash and I think at thew rate DeepOnion is going I think it will easily outpace it, the Dash topic has 6542 pages but when it was thew same age as DeepOnion now it only had 1170. So - By any measure a winner.

On the contrary, I use the internet as a connection to the world. As a means to connect me to knowledge and to other people, how could you possibly call that a waste?
I do however see many people who spend all day, aimlessly passing time, not with any purpose in mind. I think that is a waste.
