641  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A super minimal Electrum build for Windows XP & 7 on: March 27, 2012, 09:00:16 AM
Hey,

Ctrl+C is a neat trick! Thanks!

0.40 binary (from BTCurious) also restores "contacts" tab, so i guess this is a default behaviour.

Cheers!

Hello.

Icons work great now, thanks! I had to try pending icon also, so you should have received a little donation from me : )

Regarding wallet restore: If I ignore "No transactions found for this seed" and open and close program for about 5 times, "History" and "Receive" tabs get all the data, but "Contacts" tab stays empty.

And a little request: is it possible to make content of "Details" window copy / paste-able? For example if you double click on transaction, you can see status, ID, input, output - but user is not able to select that data and copy / paste it.

Thanks.
643  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A super minimal Electrum 0.42 build for Windows XP & 7 on: March 26, 2012, 09:13:14 AM
Few quirks:

I found out that i can't restore from seed (words or code) with 0.42 binary

and

Few icons still don't work for me - it behaves the same as with 0.40 binary:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52003.msg797218#msg797218

I also found out, that icon for unconfirmed transaction (unconfirmed.png) is not showing either. Again, it's the same with 0.40 previous binary builds.

I am on XP 32bit SP3

Wow, that was quick!

It works great with -w parameter! And no need for console window, thank you.

Hope you'll continue to create binaries for future official electrum releases.
645  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Finally - super minimal Electrum build for Windows! on: March 24, 2012, 12:48:01 AM
Hey, thanks!

Is there a way to change wallet path with "-w" parameter?
I'd like to have a portable solution with electrum.dat and electrum.exe in the same folder.

Works great with default wallet path!

I'm looking for $10 to max $25 iTunes gift card.

Thanks.
648  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Electrum - a new thin client on: March 15, 2012, 01:28:45 PM
Ahhh... so simple.

Why is this not listed in Readme or RELEASE-NOTES or in "electrum help"?

I feel embarrassed and at the same time i am wasting your time : )

Thanks for super fast answer!
649  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Electrum - a new thin client on: March 15, 2012, 01:17:33 PM
Is there any .ini file or is there any parameter command for selecting "electrum.dat" location?

I tried typing "electrum.exe help" into Command Prompt, but i didn't find any suitable parameter.

I'd like to create portable electrum wallet on my usb stick. I'd like to force electrum to first check root folder (where the electrum.exe file is located) for "electrum.dat" file.

Thanks.

Thanks Thomas!

Problems occur when a given address is used in several transactions.
However, we could display a the description as "default label" for adresses that have no label. would that suit your need?
That would be perfect!

this is probably a bug.
can you post a screenshot?
also, do you use the binary version, or the python source?
I use binary on XP. It is the same with Cameyo or BTCurious build.
There is also no program icon (but there is a nice icon in startup menu).

I believe that the python source code can be used on OSX. please share your experience if you have tried and encountered problems.
I am not a programmer, so i would need step by step guide to try my luck : )

Hello,

I've been using Electrum for few weeks now and it is my favorite desktop wallet! I'd like to thank developers for this great peace of software!

I have few questions if someone can help me out:

1. i don't understand why new addresses automatically appear in "Receive" tab.

2. Is it normal that "description" string (while sending BTCs) does not become "label" string in "Contacts" tab?
Official client works this way and I quite like that feature.

3. Why there is no icon for "password" in bottom right corner (XP port)? I see one in Ubuntu.

4. Is there any plan for OSX version? That would be great!

@ThomasV: will this new feature allow 2 or more Electrum clients to be open at the same time and also to be used at the same time or would that cause problems?

Thank you.

How do i quickly enter 30+ character address into this thing? Manually? Should seller send me an email so i can copy/paste it?

It looks impractical to me as a mobile phone wallet without QR reading ability.
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Idea: A fund for an alternative Bitcoin development team. on: February 09, 2012, 08:56:44 AM
Whats really is bad from a user point is the huge block download, people will think it sucks, but my guess is that it will also
be adressed.

This is pretty much the only thing that is not optimal.

Still no luck for WinXP users  : (
657  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: BitcoinSpinner on: February 02, 2012, 08:40:22 PM
iOS BitcoinSpinner would be a true hit! There's nothing like BitcoinSpinner on iOS platform ATM.

Cheers!
658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there anything like BitcoinSpinner for iOS? on: January 28, 2012, 10:33:28 PM
BitPak would be fine without blockchain download... hope the developer will change that in the future releases.
659  Other / Beginners & Help / Is there anything like BitcoinSpinner for iOS? on: January 27, 2012, 05:33:00 PM
Hi!

I have checked https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Software and googled around, but I didn't find anything similar to BitcoinSpinner.

I really like the minimalistic design, fast response, key backup, instant on (no blockchain DL-ing), etc...

Is there anything similar available for iOS (native app)?

I know about BitPak and web options, but that's not what i am looking for...

Thanks!
