0 meaning that it does not make core clock changes? You must have a range set in the config file for this to be true?  eg. 5850 @ 725-950
2982  Other / Off-topic / Re: butterflylabs.com - any comment about your ASIC progress? on: August 29, 2012, 10:20:38 PM
Well unless it could be fixed with firmware updates...... I would say mislead...... not scammed... Scammed ='s Money going in and nothing coming out Cheesy If they send you a 1.9 Ghash/s coffee warmer instead of a 3.5gh/s coffee warmer... Well suck it up.... Smiley

2983  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer - trake on: August 29, 2012, 10:15:45 PM

2984  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is pirate considered a scammer by Bitcoin community*? Poll:vote/view results on: August 29, 2012, 10:13:08 PM
Can I get some thousands of bitcoins? I will take 20 scammer tags!

I will bet 500 pennies that nothing happens to Pirate, he'll pay back what he can... TONS of people will cry to the police/fbi whatever, but they'll be like uhhh, thanks for the details goodbye....

Everyone willingly gave this dude their money.. No way in hell is a forum post a legal binding contract.....
2985  Other / Off-topic / Re: butterflylabs.com - any comment about your ASIC progress? on: August 29, 2012, 10:07:42 PM
No and no.. I'm doubting either of those will happen..... They may start shipping end of 2012 but not at advertised speeds..... (I get super stoned and I have these dreams)(I know stuff) Cheesy
2986  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Statistics For Radeon 7870 Please? on: August 29, 2012, 10:06:08 PM
Not cards are identical..... Jim's 7970 might get 550mh/s and Dick's 7950 might get closer to 600mh/s @ the same clock speeds.....

I have a few identical 5800 series cards that don't mine exactly the same.....
2987  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7970 on slot 1 getting less MH/s any ideas? on: August 29, 2012, 10:03:06 PM
config file is easier to make changes IMO.....
2988  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7970 hot hot hot! on: August 29, 2012, 10:00:53 PM
by default powertune is off.... right?
2989  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Boot display signal sent to card without a monitor on: August 29, 2012, 09:54:39 PM
Even lower end mobo's usually have a PEG1 peg2 and so on selection.... my old old 790gx AMD board had this...

Good luck....
2990  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7970 hot hot hot! on: August 29, 2012, 09:53:32 PM
yes it's 75..... those 7970 should stay around 75 no problem.....
2991  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 5970 strange behaviour (artifacts/undervolt) on: August 29, 2012, 09:53:07 PM
Sounds like the exact same problem I had on a 5850 with a burnt out cap...

It would boot in to windows fine but die after trying to mine with the card.... sometimes it would mine for hours.... sometimes seconds...
2992  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7970 hot hot hot! on: August 29, 2012, 09:51:34 PM
Not usually... One is probably an overclocked version vs a reference version? Not I doubt they both have the same stock speeds.

Check in cgminer.... g, c, 0 see what the engine speed is and do the same with card 1.

you can change these settings through cgminer and you can try and lower the ram to help keep the heat down.

Ouch....
2994  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: form 4684 on: August 29, 2012, 09:19:09 PM
a farm sounds like serious mining. i am referring to people with 1-9 gpu making a few extra hundred dollars per month.
i doubt many of us report that.

I mine Bitcoins and Namecoins with 1-2 GPU and I will certainly be reporting my Bitcoin and Namecoin mining income to the CRA here in Canada at tax time.

What in the hell for? so you're going to add like 100 bucks a year to your Tax return Tongue

2998  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Its Official Pirate Has Defaulted!! on: August 29, 2012, 04:15:18 PM
I'll put my money on, it was a planned scare the entire time...

That would be one epic troll, and costly in terms of reputation for all involved.
