Are we into the Cryptocurrency Wars now? Litecoin advocates tryna step up?

Look closely between 3PM and 7:30PM...

someone(people) knew...

may be a good indicator of imminent corrections going forward.

Yeah I'm thinking the Litecoiners are trying to orchestrate selloffs to boost Litecoin's value. They've been very aggressive on /r/Bitcoin recently. They must include some early Bitcoin adopters who are envious that they weren't the super-early adopters, so they may still have a ton of Bitcoin to play with.

This is a possibility.  Anyone who tries to "promote" litecoins are either stupid or trying to take advantage of stupid people.  There is no other type.

Lol! Why the hate? You don't like crypto coins?  Smiley

LTC is awesome for when BTC gets forked, or has no block for 1.5 hours.

I see since the pirate ship has sailed you have been very active in LTC.

For those of you who do not know, Goat here operated a pass-through service for one of the largest bitcoin ponzi schemes in the communities history. Since its collapse he's been very active in the promotion of LTC. He's just looking for suckers, don't be one of them.

Does satoshicircle bloat the block chain in the same way satoshidice does?  If not I would use that in your marketing. Are the transactions off-chain until you withdraw?
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining with a quantum computer? on: March 14, 2013, 01:29:49 PM
Please use the search function. This topic has been discussed to death. Short answer is no
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC Wall Observer - BTC-e wall movement tracker on: March 11, 2013, 06:20:29 PM
Transactions are 4x faster for one.

For one? Anything else?...
207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 11, 2013, 05:36:18 PM
Litecoin is used exactly for 1 thing, mining new litecoins to either sell them for bitcoins or dollars, or to hoard them (which is is highly questionable since it's a Tulip bubble).
... The whole LTC economy is based on people mining new LTC's, it's a dead end loop.

Yes. I came to the same conclusion too.

The first-mover advantage in crypto-currency is absolutely critical. I just can't see mainstream sites offering >1 choices of crypto. The public would see it as a Sony/Betamax or Blu-Ray/HDDVD drama all over again and be annoyed about it.

you guys forget, that by buying ltc with btc
and buying btc back with ltc you wash btc.

LTC is also much faster. We have seen where BTC can take 1 to 2 hours to have just one confirm. Operations that need speed all the time will use LTC.

join a faster mining pool

Lurk more, try again. Thank you.

Ha ha pirate pass through operator defending LTC. There's a red flag for you.

208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: These are worth $1000+ now. on: March 08, 2013, 05:11:26 AM

This thread is way over posted. Collapse imminent. This is a good opportunity for a competing thread to gain some ground.
213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 01, 2013, 04:29:55 AM
Like I've been telling people since $8: These are the cheap coins!
214  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30 on: February 21, 2013, 07:52:32 PM
Due to currency conversion. That's why the high is still under 30
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: The global stock market is doing really bad. US is in the 2nd worst day in 2013. on: February 21, 2013, 03:06:31 PM

216  Economy / Speculation / Re: OMG! Bitcoins are going to $389,000 each! on: February 19, 2013, 03:19:51 AM
The fact that I can use bitcoins to buy pizza is all I ever wanted. Everything else is just a bonus.
217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 16, 2013, 04:32:49 AM
just loading a bit^^

the spread is crazy. its bot heaven these days. im kicking myself for not majoring in CS

Yo me too. Math skills are the most essential part of it (additional to what you usualy learn in CS). Its realy hard but I've put myself through 3 courses at coursera.org and started on edx.org... But I won't deploy one of these "high frequency" bots yet. Everything is possible if you can glue yourself to the screen, week for week. Still limited to python though. There are nice open sources to learn from.

the idea is to write a smart bot with code you can really feel confident about...
a lot easier said then done...

I write a program used to re-program embedded devices easily in a Visual or "Block oriented programing environment"
its makes it really simple to write complex programs given arbitrary inputs... i thought about retro fitting it to allow users to make Bitcoin Bots for any exchange with an API! ... but it would be a considerable amount of work...  time is BTC  Tongue

would be cool tho, a short 10 min video and anyone could have Their own bot running  Cheesy

I dont recommend turning a bot on now, even with such attractive range of spread. Be aware that the price is expected to jump above 35$ in few days.

Don't tell Adam that... It'll break him...
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Adam's Bet - Bitcoin will not make a new all time high this February on: February 15, 2013, 12:59:38 AM
I think I know how this is going to end...
219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 14, 2013, 07:22:35 PM
I was talking about another big adoption, like wordpress

the right one could send this price to space

Edit:

Also who cares about the little fish, 1 serious player who can actually do something for bitcoin is what Im talking about, not someone whos going to buy and sell a couple coins, i mean some company that will take bitcoin on as a form of payment that will bring big money into the market

Now you're just trolling
220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 14, 2013, 07:02:07 PM
The market does not explicitly need big players for the price to increase. 100,000 more modest investors of 100$ each would raise the price significantly. Big players are just playing land grab at this point.
