But the btc-e bot must stop the order, if there's no profit! Not just buy the btc at any price! It has to know the data from the gox bot?
502  Economy / Services / Re: PROFITS - ATPx [Automated Trading Platform eXtended] on: July 10, 2013, 08:11:52 PM
Uhm...sorry, I don't get it...

Let's say, I want to do arb from btc-e to gox. I buy btc at btc-e and sell at gox. What matters is the difference of the price at the 2 exchanges, so no bot can place an order without knowing about the other bot?

Or did I misunderstand the whole concept?

Pardon my ignorance...

503  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Seeking a team to develop Bitcointalk 2.0 forums (apply within) on: July 10, 2013, 04:33:06 PM
I can do some java, php, cake, mysql and data modeling, if it helps...
504  Economy / Services / Re: PROFITS - ATPx [Automated Trading Platform eXtended] on: July 10, 2013, 09:58:53 AM
How do these bots communicate the total funds to know if arb is feasable?
505  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is BTC not used in Games? on: July 07, 2013, 06:24:46 PM
So I had this idea for a retro-game, but there's one problem: cheating by scripting.

If you have a good workaround, we'd be much further...

Uase java-config to set the default java version. Or maybe it's enough to set JAVA_HOME to java 7. I don't know this mac stuff, sorry.

Google says:

So you have java 6 and java 7 installed, but you use java 6 for aido.

509  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gekko - a javascript trading bot for nodejs on: July 06, 2013, 06:37:13 PM
Java should work everywhere...

But it's not the actual app...just the API implementations...
510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gekko - a javascript trading bot for nodejs on: July 06, 2013, 06:27:17 PM
Maybe Aido...

My stuff can do various coin pairs.

I already released some API implementations:

https://github.com/ReAzem/cryptocoin-tradelib

Maybe you can use it...

Sounds very cool...

I use Swing for my app but also added a server mode, that should be controlled by a mobile app at some point.

I only use Linux, so vb is not for me ...

But phonegap is just html and javascript, so very easy to program. You might want to take a look ...

Use a recent java version.
I have the latest just downloaded from the site

Problem might be that you still have the previously installed version selected as default. On linux use java-config to select the version you want.

Use a recent java version.
516  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for trading bot on: July 05, 2013, 05:07:53 PM
I'm working on such stuff, but don't have any background on technical trading, so I focus on arb for now...

Are you a good trader? Looking for a collab...
517  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What is your preferred graph style on BTC exchanges? on: July 05, 2013, 05:04:51 PM
I implemented the old btc-e style just to avoid mtgox live...

I don't have any banking/trading background, so candlestick is strange to me...
518  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Coin Price App on: July 05, 2013, 04:58:43 PM
I did something similar with the depth (using phonegap):

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=135392.0

Mods for mtgox are really minimal.

I work on some java trading stuff and released my API implementations:

https://github.com/ReAzem/cryptocoin-tradelib

With this concept, you can just add new exchanges as modules. As an example, this trade dialog doesn't use any exchange methods directly:

When a new module for an exchange is added, you can trade there.

Na vielleicht kannst Du andere Sachen. Trading Strategien erarbeiten, oder so...

Schwierig. Du brauchst ja ein Programm, was diese Lib nutzt.

Was könntest Du denn beitragen? Vielleicht können wir irgendwie kooperieren?
