1865  Economy / Speculation / Re: yay btc goes ~$250 ! on: October 20, 2015, 03:37:32 PM
For about 16 hours the price of bitcoin has been increased.
At the moment it is around +3 dollars which makes me feel a bit more happy.
I think that it is the moment now to change the tittle to "yay btc goes ~$280" Smiley
Agree, i don't know what happened to the price today but it was a pretty good price
The lowest price i have see today is around $267 Wink
If this keep up we will soon hit the $270 wall and hopefully the price will be stable at that range of price Grin

I guess it might be some early celebrations. We must save our celebrations for $300 for more celebrations. with my analysis we can soon see $300 levels which would be a short term big target. On sustaining there we can see $320-$330.
It depends when do you mean when you said "soon"
Obviously it's not gonna be the end of the month, $30 rise in just few days is impossible at this rate
I think $300 is gonna be at end of the year or the new year itself
Many unpredictable things can happen to the price, we'll see

1866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want better? Exchange or Appstore where you can pay with BTC? on: October 20, 2015, 03:17:47 PM
There are too many exchanges right now, but there aren't many great appstore/gamestore which accept bitcoin
I think we don't need new appstore/gamestore which accept bitcoin, but big appstore/gamestore such as Google Play, Steam, Windows Store, Playstation store, or others which accept bitcoin.
So, not only we can spend our bitcoin for any apps or games, but also increase bitcoin adoption slightly. People will curious about bitcoin & they will search about bitcoin & they might use bitcoin too.
I think OP would make his own appstore instead asking big company to use them
OP job here is to develop an appstore or exchange not convincing sony and google to use one Wink
and besides i think we need a new appstore that accepts  Bitcoin , it will be the first appstore completely run with Bitcoins no debit card and no credit card involved Smiley
The media will sure make a buzz about this Roll Eyes
1867  Economy / Services / Re: Paying $100 whoever can help me figure out how to format html into a link on: October 20, 2015, 02:50:18 PM
This is blatant scamming with a newbie that promises a reward for something and then vanishes.
Isn't that obvious ?
It's too good to be true when OP offered $100 for something like this
And he never mentioned about using escrow at all Roll Eyes
$100 without escrow is a risky business

1871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any female BitcoinTalker around you? on: October 20, 2015, 11:36:27 AM
I am!  Cheesy
I'm female and love bitcoin, not because I'm a geek but because it has the potential to end the corrupt monetary system we have today, which is at the source of many other 'problems', such as war and poverty. (as everyone here knows)

Here's a video I made last year:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY9oaxdt91o

And a slideshow made in 2012:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO5ondiZTH4

And my bitcoin fashion facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/bitcoinfashion

I got my Russian (girl!) friend to like bitcoin too, here we are dancing in the I love Bitcoin t-shirts we made:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH_3AV5n_iU

 Wink
Since you're female i think it's best to ask this question to you
"What does it take to attract womens to use bitcoin"
They said women understand each other so let's see if you can answer this Wink

That's a good question actually! To be honest, it's very hard, even for me, to find or to make other girls interested in Bitcoin. Giving out these cute t-shirts was probably the closest I got to getting girl's interest.

Another thing that might work is to explain the reason why the current financial system is so evil and problematic and why bitcoin is a solution to that. Nothing's more exciting than a REVOLUTION to make the world a better place Wink If it's hard to explain or she's too impatient to listen, watch some documantaries like 'all wars are Bankers wars' or the 2nd part of Zeitgeist of 'The Lie we Live'.

Good luck! Smiley

P.S a short explanation I usually use goes something like this:
There are of course many problems in the world, but to make the biggest impact and positive change we need to address the source. Zoom out and you will see almost any issue can be linked back to the financial system. It’s not hard to understand. Some have the power to create money, others give up their time and energy to work for it. The ones who supply the money, control and rule this planet. As long as you accept their paper currency, you keep giving them this power. Wherever money goes, energy flows. Stop accepting their money and they'll soon lose their power. Use and store your value in a currency that cannot be controlled or manipulated, because it's transparent, decentralized and limited in supply. BITCOIN! CheesyCheesy
That Shirt is actually pretty good, I like it Cheesy
Why don't you try to sell that shirt here ?
You might make a nice extra money from selling that shirt Roll Eyes
Anyway, welcome to the Bitcoin talk community, Hope you enjoy your stay here Smiley
1872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want better? Exchange or Appstore where you can pay with BTC? on: October 20, 2015, 11:00:15 AM
Appstore would be great Cheesy
But i think that would kill most of Clash Of Clans Gems seller here because now they can pay it in Bitcoin Tongue
But how do you convince the developers to put their apps on their appstore?
Also do you use Bitpay for the Payment system or are you gonna make your own payment system ?
1873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we help Bitcoin ? on: October 20, 2015, 10:35:33 AM
In your honest opinion , what are the methods that each one of us can do to make bitcoin grow Huh (whatever was your definition for the word grow)
Already said this on the similar topic, just gonna repeat myself here Wink

We as a community pitched in our money together on a trusted escrow, then with that money we will sponsor a famous people (celebrity, singer, band , youtuber , etc) to promote Bitcoin Smiley
Many people will hear what they say and maybe they can convince people on using Bitcoin
And with that we can make Bitcoin grow on the community side Smiley
This is easier because if we can't convince them we pay people to do that
Example : Trying to convince your sister to use Bitcoin VS Miley Cyrus Convincing trying your sister to use Bitcoin

I have coinbase on my other monitor all throughout the day, my day started here in my office with $268 and now it's down to $264, but it's just jumping from $264 - $267 level. So I guess this will be our rate for this week?
yes new range $260-$270
http://prntscr.com/8svo8c

we will stable at this range before we rise $300
yes the price is stable around $260-$270 since yesterday and i hope won't be down again to $250 in this month

Even if the price go below $250, it is still OK for the long term.
yes i know it, but for now, we will never see under $255
The lowest price at this moment is $260
at least we never see the price lower than $260 in these several days but top price in this month is around $270-$275
i'm actually expect more than it

Just be happy that we managed to get to 270 even if it was for a minute Wink
It mean a good thing for bitcoin Grin
I was expecting our lowest level is 275 by the end of year, the price of money ussually increased by the end of the year Smiley

1877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: October 20, 2015, 03:43:01 AM
in my country i see a couple of shops that accept bitcoin. there was a coffee house i saw downtown last week that i paid with bitcoin at, it was extremely fast and smooth. i think this year alot of merchants realized and understood the true potential of bitcoin and gave it a shot.
lets just hope next year, the amount of merchants supporting bitcoins increase

I would imagine it will steadily increase... but it honestly just depends on what area of your country or which country, for that matter, you live in.  I know in the U.S. there are more and more bitcoin ATM's being set up and local businesses that are adopting bitcoin as a valid payment, but in the state I'm in has yet to see it's first BTCATM, and only one or two stores accept bitcoin at the moment... and those are jewelry businesses, not your typical coffee shops..
yeah thats not possible that coffee shop accept bitcoin as a payment, but they need free internet access to their coffee shop so that customer are able to send their coins.
Most of the coffee stores already have free wifi for their customer so i think internet shouldn't be a problem here

The reason they don't accept bitcoin is either
A. They don't know bitcoin exist
Or
B. They don't care about it Roll Eyes
And it is our task as a community to convince them to use bitcoin and tell them the importance of using bitcoin Smiley
1878  Economy / Goods / Re: Gauging interest in secure laptops on: October 19, 2015, 09:08:29 PM
Anything that has a Intel chipset means your computer is insecure due to them adding backdoors in the processors which even when your computer is off they can access your information.

could someone link an article substantiating this?
cause i want to make sure i leave my door open extra wide, as my sacred patriotic duty against the terrorists and other scary stuff..

With the power of google i managed to find this article
http://www.eteknix.com/expert-says-nsa-have-backdoors-built-into-intel-and-amd-processors/
If you want more you can always search at google Roll Eyes
1879  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How safe is Bitcoin really? on: October 19, 2015, 09:00:57 PM
The bitcoin itself is pretty secure, sometimes most of the people who got their btc wallet hacked or stole  is on their own fault
If you are using online wallet and wanted to beef up the security try to turn on 2FA
Smiley

Kudos to the admins Cheesy
