1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IDISNEY] Disney Coin on: March 10, 2016, 12:22:27 AM
Thank you for this. Will IDISNEY be taking over the tokens for Marvel Comics, Star Wars, and the other pieces of my childhood? Or will I have to acquire those tokens separately?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TLA] Currency Announcement: Electronic Tetla on: January 10, 2016, 10:11:44 PM
I don't see anything on http://tetla.org that the counterparty asset TETLAS is associated with the project.
Can you redeem the counterparty asset TETLAS for physical coupons?
Do merchants that accept physical TETLAS coupons accept the counterparty asset as well?

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty Protocol, Client and Coin (built on Bitcoin) - Official on: March 24, 2014, 06:06:44 PM
Are the counterparty developers opposed to moving from bare multisig to encoding within P2SH multisig scriptsig inputs?

If so, why?

If not, problem solved?
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Find Trendon Shavers in person thread... [BTCST, BTS&T, pirateat40] on: March 12, 2014, 09:09:36 PM
Did he really refund 100,000 BTC? Apparently to gigavps, imsaguy, ognasty, btc4domains and some other guys.

So maybe it's the time they catch even that phucking scammer Giga so that he will use properly his lawyer.

No he didnt refund anybody, and the SEC acknowledged in doc #2 that pirate/trendon was lying and the evidence is he repaid no one. The time trendon talked to the SEC prior to this interview transcript, he told them he had 100000 BTC left, in his mind it somehow showed he wasnt running a ponzi. At the time of the interview linked above, he claimed to have no coins left, since the court ordered his assets frozen. The SEC called him out on that, "where are the 100000 coins you said last time that you had, and he said, oh I paid some people back. Again, even the SEC acknowledges he paid no one back.
5  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can someone explain the reason the core dev team is splitting rpc and bitcoind? on: February 09, 2014, 03:34:06 AM
Wouldn't that make the bitcoind require another bitcoin-qt instance to control?

You can control it with the "bitcoin-cli" program that is also built alongside bitcoind. It is a bitcoin json-rpc client.

10  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitBet Stole ~$7,000 from me (10 BTC) on: November 26, 2013, 03:29:50 AM
Page three stuff? This thread is becoming a sort of lulz Mecca is it.

I'm seriously only reading pages 1, 3, and 12 of this stuff
11  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Terrible Experience with Bets of Bitcoin / Bitbet on: November 25, 2013, 10:45:23 PM
Please direct all further refund requests to BitBet's authorized refund handling agent, Mr. David Thorne, esq.

These aren't being handled by Ms. Helen Waite anymore?

I heard if you wanted a refund you should go to Helen Waite.

Sold. thanks
14  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] BFL SC ASIC (56 GH/s) on: November 20, 2013, 08:32:59 PM
THIS HAS BEEN SOLD. THANKS.

I'm selling one BFL SC ASIC miner. It's straight from the hosting facility partnered with butterfly labs. I've got it here in my hand and there is some variance to the speeds and temps of each individual unit; this one here is getting 56 GH/s. There's a small scratch to the black paint that must have happened however they racked them at the data center. It runs great, like it should, only 3 BTC, free shipping to the USA.

Yep, that's the last status as far as what's posted there. That was a certified letter I believe informing Shavers that since he stopped replying to the court, a default judgment was entered against him. Looks like he pretended to not be home and never went to the post office to claim it. Shocking, I'm sure.

Again, always make sure you research things and talk to your advisers and the issuer before extending any trust to something you find on an internet forum.

18  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Acting as 3rd party redeeming coins. on: November 15, 2013, 06:16:54 PM
I wish to use US currency ($1 bills specifically) because I want to lean on the counterfeiting security and laws. I wouldn't know how to verify paper rubles, pesos or rupees, or how unique each bill is. It would take huge balls for someone to knowingly counterfeit a FRN and send it through the US mail system.

I'm not disagreeing with your decision and reasoning but should point out that counterfeit FRNs were for sale on that tor market that was shut down and shipped via US mail.

But yes, a neat way to piggyback off the anti-counterfeit features that an ordinary person accepting the note can use to help verify its authenticity.
