This is an example how demand = big price as everyone has been spamming EVERYWHERE about cloakcoin so it created an hype out of nothing (no innovation, no real anonymity, just a failed attempt,no marketing) and price will slowly go down and then this coin will probably die.
Ofcourse there will be xy users blaming me how stupid i'm but it was really only caused by spamming whole forums 'bout this shitcoin...my 5 cents.
Actually cloak was the first on the market to have a third party audit done... So if anything, it is the most innovative since the devs thought they could handle an audit. First anon/trustless audit. Can I return your 5 cents? "The devs thought they could handle an audit" but did they? |

Yea got all excited, found a coin I can mine the crapout of and  so sad for me it seems as if its going to die. If you coud have seen the coins rolling in from my 1Thash miner HAHAHA 11 coins per minute LOL I wish I could do that shit with bitcoin I would be rich in 2 hours. I did not have a problem syncing the wallet it ook some time because I only had 4 nodes in my config, but it still got the job done. I bhope the developers see their problems on Bittrex and put up 2 bitcoins to save their coin and do some stuff to progress it forward, i would love to mine this coin for a while, such a low difficulty. Well there is 0% premine so how could they put up 2 bitcoins to "save it"? There is just no interest in this coin, sadly. It doesn't make me happy either as i own like 30k teacoins but it isn't even worth for me to trade them. I kind of screwed it up and have to admit that i should have dumped them while i had chance to profit on them...well it's too late now. Even thought i'd like to see some kind of "ressurescion". |

Well i'm nowhere near the ammounts you are guys holding (i've got around 10-15k cann) so i have really small role here but i wasn't able to get more cuz of my financial situation but whatever.
When i think more about it would maybe fine to make it 10 cann/g as the coin supply is really big, and if it would be needed then maybe lower the prices. It will still look better than increasing the price later in my eyes.
Also to answer the guy above me, yes there will be daily limit for ammount that can be bought with canncoin but what the limit will be isn't decided yet.

Looks like we gonna finally get on Mintpal next Monday Now's a good time to stock up on some cheap coins from Allcoin. If we get even a mini pump going once we hit Mintpal, you'll be glad you got some cheap coins to ride the wave Or you will end up with tons of unusable and worth nothing coins a XSI and ADN are 2-3k votes away from us and they are nowhere as long waiting for beign added as we do. They will probably overvote us if we will not gain any reasonable ammount of votes this week. |

I've already shared my thoughts on the price pegging and agree with the 1:1 ratio. I also think it's something that has to be done for stability as Ared's post noted. What I wanted to add is that most people keep talking about Arizona, Colorado, Washington, and now potentially Florida. The fact is, nearly half of the states already have medicinal laws in place, some a little looser than others, but the acceptance is growing fast. And this doesn't factor in anything international. When you start thinking outside of a few states and then outside of a single country, you soon see that a 1:1 peg isn't out of the question at all and 420 million coins becomes quite rare in that big picture. CANN is young and breaking into an industry that has no nowhere to go but up, and we're all in for a helluva ride thanks to D9 and his team. For more info on MMJ and other state laws, check out http://norml.org/states . That's what i'm saying the whole time. This is right time for this coin as most of the states are preparing/have the new laws prepared and after that they will all need an payment processor so if we could offer them cann or if they will read about it themselves then i'd say there is 85%+ chance that they will accept it  . The market of marijuana will be multi-bilion after it gets accepted everywhere. So why not 1b of market soloely for canncoin? It's just a kind of payment processor with some advantages. |

I see many people here talking about 1cann=1g . (8-12$)
I am just trying to put my head around this.
So right now there are around 75 million cann and there will be a maximum of 240 million in a total of 8.5 year.
So according to the above mentioned peg- you can exchange 1 cann for certain strain of cannabis worth 8-12 $
In this case the total market cap for 75 million cann is around 750 million USD !!
Isn't it way too unrealistic for a currency which is for a niche and has a very specific use (considering it gets adopted far and wide within in the industry)
I will wait for some one to shed some light.
May be cann needs some good economics help to get the peg right.
In any case best of luck to the devs and the cann community.
Why couldn't it be true? It's a currency that could solve alot of problems in this fresh and rocket-fast growing industry. Also anyone could accept cann as it's still a cryptocurrency that could be used for anything if your need is to cash out in $. Also cannabis is starting to be used recreation drug in few states in "legal" shops already. And look on statistics how many people smoke weed |
