Don't wanna sound too whiny but... OP still hasn't paid and I have hosting bills to pay off... And its been over a week since I posted and he hasn't signed on...
I should've used escrow :/
I think that the problem is OP doesn't even know about this video as he wasn't online since June 16th.

I'm not sure, I was asking based on my own assumption.
I assume that because these wallets work in a different way (some are deterministic, some use a copy of blockchain) then you couldn't just copy the wallet.dat to a different type of wallet and expect it to work. Am I right?
Yep it seems like that i could have thinked about it more and it does make a sense. OP may try if he wants but hope he won't forget to also backup that file otherwise if it wouldn't work or if it would damage the file he could loose all of his coins

Forgive my ignorance, but I assumed an armoury wallet.dat file is a different format to an electrum wallet.dat or a bitcoin-qt wallet.dat.
You couldn't just copy it over and expect it to work with different software, right?
Oh i get it now. I think that you can import it into electum with your private key but you should have copy of these keys as they won't become part of your electum seed. But it's way better to send these coins to new address.

the dead cat bounce finally being weaker, $500 is coming
You are clearly falllling for the bear trap after the 20-30% off discount auction of 30k bitcoin, the buyer will dump all btc at once at market, then we see $500 and $48x There is not just a single buyer it will be like 10 auctions or so, i don'tremember exact number. And if the info of these leaked contributors to auction is real then they will hold for sure!

|

When it would be more profitable to stay legitimate instead? For example there was Stackcoin. Its dev had an IPO that raised 70 BTC. It had an interesting idea and screenshots were posted showing the concept being developed. Wouldn't it have been more profitable to just develop the coin instead? Or the Sharexcoin exchange. A lot of development went into that site and the site was a fully functioning exchange which would have been a good long term investment for the site owner. But instead the owner decided to scam its users by closing the site and running off with its users' coins. I think he was later caught trying to sell 24 million QORA on Poloniex which they were able to identify and seize. It doesn't make any sense. Well he could have alot bigger profit from sharexcoin exchange since exchanges make alot of money on fees indeed. And scammers scam cuz they just want fast money to spend them now, not for planning future or anything like that.

You have more options depending on where you live...the best one is 2 way bitcoin ATM, the second one is these forums with trusted escrow, thirsd one is local bitcoin and 4th is any kind of exchange but it may take a while to get vertified but if i'm right btc-e doesn't even require vertification (not sure i'm not trading there).

I think you can more your wallet.dat file to the new folder. Can someone more experienced confirm this?
Yes this should work with no problem, or just click on backup wallet and then load it in another wallet.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero, buy or not?
|

Well it has to be your decision, i invested some money (luckily not mutch) like 3 days ago when the price tanked and i'm loosing my money already...will hold them and not dump them since i still hope it wasn't pump and dump.
Dont afraid, its normal that price dropped a little. It cant all the time just grow up. But you should look closer. Before 2 weeks the price was 2usd, now is 4.4usd (before 2days was 5.5usd maximum) Its investment for long time, if you want profit, then have it for at least all.summer. Yep after i looked on mintpal it seems that Monero has nice community support indeed althought i'll make my final decision after i'll see the mintpal volume. But it seems that i'll hold.
