1121  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fuck Summer! on: June 23, 2014, 02:12:19 PM
It's true that summers sucks but winter sucks also even thought i enjoy it more.
It would be ideal if it would be 20 C - 25 C most time of the year, that would make me happy.
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 23, 2014, 02:06:24 PM
Well, i just stoped doubting about my investment after seeing these voting sums on blockchain. Seems like i should hold and wait Smiley
1123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dump or Pump before Friday? on: June 23, 2014, 02:02:13 PM
Which way do you guys think the auction will drive prices?
It all depends on the owners of these shiny auctioned coins, if they will hold it may go up, if they will sell we will see price go down alot sadly.
1124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 23, 2014, 01:59:23 PM
Only $10 off the major support line.

Yea, I was gonna write that if we go sub 550 now, we probably won't see $5k this year, maybe not even $2k-3k
Things surely are heating up Cool
You seem to be too optimistic that you are sure we will see this big sums of money...we could be all more than happy if we will get on 1k this year what may even not happen.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official][420] Developments & Discussions. on: June 23, 2014, 01:48:27 PM
Originaly i came in to bitch around how this coin has no purpose and that we have enought cannabis coins around that nobody does accept, but i see that you have adapted it in some kind of dispensary and it's accepting it and you seem to be working hard on this coin unlike other shitcoin developers, all i can say is good luck!
I'll throw few mBTCs on you coin and will see if its worth it Smiley
1126  Economy / Marketplace / Re: SR auctioned coins - group buy? on: June 23, 2014, 01:43:03 PM
I'm willing to do this and I've already signed up to be a bidder, so I just opened another thread in the Marketplace area to keep things better organized.
Dude, nothing agains you but i wouldn't consider you as trused in any way. You have registered 5 days ago and you already want people to trust you with thousands up to milion(s) of dollars?
This won't happen no matter how mutch you try.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero, buy or not? on: June 23, 2014, 01:40:24 PM
Well it has to be your decision, i invested some money (luckily not mutch) like 3 days ago when the price tanked and i'm loosing my money already...will hold them and not dump them since i still hope it wasn't pump and dump.
1128  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: June 23, 2014, 01:34:42 PM
So is the 400 max post thing a new guideline?   There is so much going on in this thread...don't really want to have to sift through all the different conversations going on...thanks guys..

Yeah I think it is new. 100 a week, and they don't carry on to the next weeks?

Nope, they do not carry over.
How can you say this with sutch confidence? Did you ask Stunna yourself or are you admiting this just cuz you think it?

I believe he/she can address the issue with confidence because it is the only sensible interpretation of "Maximum of 100 posts per week will be counted. [sic]" If the excess posts from one week were to carry over into the next week until the next payday, then Stunna would simply say "400 posts per month" as that would easily clear any possible misinterpretations of the restriction.

Nope, this actually isn't true as Stunna just told me it's 400 posts per month Smiley
1129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The word "Coin" - A new meaning on: June 23, 2014, 09:50:13 AM
We feel that the word "Coin" is taking on a new meaning due to the cryptocurrency meme. As such, we propose a backronym that better captures the current meaning of the word coin in this context.

COIN = COmmon INformation.

We feel that this reflects the common information (or shared/common knowledge) aspect of blockchain technology. I.e. the ownership/control of each token on a blockchain is common information.

A cursory glance at the various definitions of the words "Common" and "Information" yield a powerful support of this backronym:

Common: "belonging to or shared by two or more people or groups", "known to the community", "pertaining or belonging equally to an entire community, nation, or culture"...

Information: "derived knowledge", "communication or reception of knowledge", "knowledge obtained from investigation, study, or instruction"...

Coin Etymology:
Quote
coin (noun.)
c.1300, "a wedge," from Old French coing (12c.) "a wedge; stamp; piece of money; corner, angle," from Latin cuneus "a wedge." The die for stamping metal was wedge-shaped, and the English word came to mean "thing stamped, a piece of money" by late 14c. (a sense that already had developed in French). Compare quoin, which split off from this word 16c. Modern French coin is "corner, angle, nook." Coins were first struck in western Asia Minor in 7c. B.C.E.; Greek tradition and Herodotus credit the Lydians with being first to make and use coins of silver and gold.

Quote
coin (verb.)
"to coin money," mid-14c., from coin (n.). Related: Coined; coining. To coin a phrase is late 16c. A Middle English word for minter was coin-smiter.

Stop trying to be an linguistic or whatever are you trying to do...
1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giveaway threads are not allowed on: June 23, 2014, 09:30:32 AM
We like to giveaway.
It's ok, everyone will go frequent Cryptocointalk, these idiots are putting themselves out of business.

They forgot that the Altcoin world is about sharing and giving, fucking dummies.
Its true, giveaway's kept more views coming to this forum.
Spamming your adresses did only spam forums nothing more. Seems like you don't get the point.

Wait, so it doesn't mean that no more coins will be mined? I thought we are going pure POS after that block.
Also when is circa date of groestlsend?

not it will be 70% pow 30% pos

which is GREAT.

the only problem is 2% per year pos reward.

which is RETARDED.
Oh i see now, maybe will be better long-term? And if no then it still could be edited if too many people would complain a DEV could host a poll, no?
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GRS] GroestlCoin: First Grøstl | PoW/PoS | Democratizing Mining | AES acc on: June 23, 2014, 07:03:47 AM

Do you guys think that this will boost the price or not?
will not boost the price, buyers need more informations about GRS POS to make there strategy Grin  see Diamonds-coin POS or x11 all are same in general, there is Somme informations missed (POS Marketing) .
Time (with other AltCoin there is a continuous comparison ) & Difficulty to mine GRS is important for future progression (psychologically more than logically) ,

-I think that groestlsend will boost price more than POS.

Wait, so it doesn't mean that no more coins will be mined? I thought we are going pure POS after that block.
Also when is circa date of groestlsend?

Wow this thread has surely been quiet since last week  Tongue

1134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poll : do you trust an exchange to hold your bitcoins ? on: June 23, 2014, 06:53:32 AM
Nope, never trust exchanges they can claim they were hacked anytime and just steal the coins themselves and disappear right after that..or get really hacked.
Types of offline wallets are safest ones.
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TeaCoin [TEA] - Web & Android Wallet - Fast - 0 Premine - 2.5% inflation on: June 23, 2014, 06:49:28 AM
What's up with that damned bittrex? We had to be listed there long time ago already, no?

No clue :/  They did confirm they will add TeaCoin.  They just haven't given me a date.
That sucks, i thought it will be within a week.

Guys i have made send some tweets to bittrex if they can add teacoin but please it would be nice if you also do it...Teacoin team is hard working but needs to be added on a big Exchange...so cheap at the moment. Come on guys and tweet bittrex....Smiley

Agreed I don't want to message them anymore then I have too Wink

Just send them tweet and they will respond to community feedback.

In the mean time we just got added to a very slick new exchange!!!!

RockyTrade.net - TEA/BTC market https://rockytrade.net/index.php?page=trade&market=134

Well that's nice from them but we won't get any trading volume there..

1137  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your Wish? on: June 23, 2014, 06:43:40 AM
If you found a Genie ask you for 1 wish, what would you wish and why select that wish? Smiley
That's hard question if there would be only 1 wish...i don't know if i'd choose to be always healthly and immune to diseases or to have alot of money as this society is all about it...
1138  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Making a Faucet for $$ on: June 23, 2014, 06:40:37 AM
How much are people willing to charge to make a simple bitcoin faucet?

Similar to something along the lines of this -

http://freebitco.in

Is a successful faucet worth it? Or are profits, if any, minimal?

Cheers.
They are REALLY, REALLY minimal even if any and they are made of adiversments.
1139  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining difficulty slowing down over the next 3 months? on: June 23, 2014, 06:39:03 AM
Just remember that if part of the reason for the recent difficulty hike is bitmain testing S3's, when they go to sell them the difficulty doesn't increase more. Hastrate is only changing hands and not being newly produced.

Its probably a combination of them testing the s3 and KNC testing the Neptunes as they are starting to ship now.
This logic doesn't make sense to me, and what do you think that will be done with these s3's and neptunes after they will be shipped? They will get plugged by their buyers so the diff. won't go down/stop increasing anyway.

It wont go down, because for every one they sell to customers they will make 2-3 for themselves.
That's quite what i'm trying to say...it will just simply continue to go up.
