Besides Strickland vs DDP there are other goods match-ups in the card. YuginKadoya gonna start pointing on kittens fight, but Allen vs Evloev in featherweights looks good also. Evloev is undefeated with 17-0 (however all of his UFC fights are UD). Allen is ranked 4 and has lost only to Holloway in UFC (had streak of 10 win before that). I would say these two prospects gonna show a nice fight. That is the fight I dont want to bet on. Dont know why Evloev is a favourite here as it should be more close.

Well, if Dana decides that the Ankalaev VS Pereira fight will take place then it is clear that Pereira will never be able to avoid it and this fight is also quite eagerly awaited, especially for fans from the Middle East. It just that Pereira has another schedule for UFC fights, so it possible that the Ankalaev VS Pereira schedule could be much longer or could the event be accelerated, it all depends on how Dana makes decisions as UFC president. I had no time to watch it live but I know how destructive Artur Beterbiev is so I watched the highlights and it was what I expected, too bad that we don't seem to see him soon inside the ring because obviously, no opponent will try their luck against that brutal puncher ever unless he is Bivol or some boxer who is willing to risk it all for a huge paycheck. The Lakers players and coaching staff should look for the cause of their failures in team chemistry instead of trying to get rid of role players. Sure, guys like DLo, Reaves, Rui are sometimes very inconsistent, but I still believe these guys can be very useful to the team when they find their right rhythm of play.
By the way, the last rumor I saw is that the Lakers are interested in Dejounte Murray, but they don't want to include Reaves in that deal.
If Dejounte Murray is that good of a player they can bust out Reaves, in my opinion, but if they are seeing the potential with him then I think the Lakers now are just fine what they need is experience and not new players, they have new talented players but for sure required some experience in playing in the playoffs, and some guide from the veteran, but right now what they teach on the Lakers team was how to flop to get a free throw, what can I say this is the worst officiating that is happening right now for sure if I had a team in the NBA I will surrender and make a default win for the Lakers every time they are the opponent of my team, just to not get frustrated about the result and this could be a sign of boycotting the lakers game, Utah Jazz defeated Indiana at home and continues its superb performance. Yoel Romero is coming back against Thiago Santos in this fight of the veterans, Romero is 46 and Santos 40 years old.

They said that the features of this game were much better than some other old school games, they even got game that was really like live broadcast because of the various advantages that could get. I don't understand how can anyone claim that Strickland won the belt due to luck. You could say that if he had won by a lucky punch etc, but they fought a full distance and he dominated Adesanya in 4 out of 5 rounds (iirc). In his last 11 fights he lost only to Pereira who, since then, proved he's a real deal by winning the middleweight belt and then the lightweight belt. There's no real shame in losing to a champion of a higher weight class. Plus, Sean probably improved a lot since that fight, also by having Alex as his sparring partner. Well, we have a different view of things and what he thinks happened with the fight because he is sure that Israel Adesanya is a well-known strike and amongst the top 5 but as we have seen Sean Strickland has dominated his with just the Philly defense, for sure many didn't understand what has happened or still in shock with the situation, but that is their point of view with things and it was clear that Adesanya has no answer with what is Sean Strickland was doing, he was mesmerized that his striking was taking no effect at all, Yup, it wasn't luck but we can't deny that part of it had something to do with Adesanya being off. He didn't look sharp that night... Even DDP would've won if he was fighting in the cage. He might have even finished Adesanya. It seems quite interesting because we can play using the fighter characters we like, but the last PlayStation game about fighting I remember was WWE SmackDown.
This was done when I was still teenager and now the PlayStation game has developed enough to have the EA Sports UFC 5 game.

The last thing I have heard about him that only in early 2024 he will get back to fully training MMA. His injury was torn achilles, and for normal person it takes half a year for a total recovery. For a professional athlete it will take quicker, but I cant imagine how long it will take to get back to previous results. Dont know how much it is gonna take Hill to recover. He is a puncher, but footwork is also important for him. If he was a kicker, then I think we would have to wait longer. I have checked his Instagram, and he is no way close to gym For sure he is doing fine, and currently chilling in his podcast right now and getting his reaction on the current event for the UFC, his latest Podcast was about the Sean Strickland altercation against Dricus Du Plessis, in the crowd on UFC 296, it was action inside the octagon and action outside the octagon, so yeah returning to Jamahal Hill he is still healing up those injuries for sure, One more tune-up fight before Alex Pereira seems right and it will be one of the best fights we will ever have this time because both are strong fighters and we won't know who will gonna win. I hope they will gonna see each other inside the Octagon soon this year since they are the face of UFC nowadays after winning their last fights flawlessly. If only they could actually make it as fast as they can like before, we won't gonna wait for too long for that to happen but they are now following the Boxing way of resting their fighters and giving them enough time to recover and get ready for their next opponent.
For sure that is what may happen in the next fight for Magomed Ankalaev, the UFC will not give them the title match right now but instead, they will give him another higher rank fight, and those 2 fighter I think Jamahal Hill will be easy for Ankalaev, but Jiří Procházka may be difficult because of his ground game but against a Glover Texeira that is now old a 31 Ankalaev is definitely much stronger than the recent Texeira, so yeah maybe 1 of these two will be the opponent of Magomed Ankalaev next,
I didn't think he got lucky. I think he actually did the hard work and he was able to earn the belt. Now there is a catch. People will tell me that if he actually earned the belt, he should be able to defend the belt successfully, but I think it is going to be hard for him for sure.
I don't know if DDP will knock him out or not. But I think this is a hard fight for Strickland and I won't be surprised if he actually gets knocked out by Du Plessis. But it is also not going to be a surprise for me if Strickland can actually win this fight.
What I am trying to say is that this fight is going to be 50-50 for both of the fighters. And I also think that in this fight, timing is going to be everything.

Congratulations to you guys who bet for Magomed Ankalaev. I should've taken that KO/TKO win. But it's okay, a win is still a win. Johnny Walker did great in the first round showing an impressive usage of his kickboxing style. He was so aggressive offensively and I really thought he might win that fight if he could just land one of those kicks. Ankalaev on the other hand started slow, he ain't throwing much in the first round, and then the bad low blow. Ouch! The second round was so bad for Walker, he is just circling around not throwing anything. His kicks are scary although risky but one hit could definitely change the game. But Ankalaev got him first, what a great accurate powerful punch, and just one follow-up punch made the referee decide to stop it and I think that's a perfect stoppage or else there will be more damage. It's too strong that Walker bounced on the cage and obviously that's lights out for him. I bet Anakalaev's camp will now be hunting for the title match this year. Dana White will not let that happen since he favors the fighters which he likes and unfortunately Anakalaev is not one of them. He does not want to see him move up in his organization at all.
There are political motivations behind it also what Magomed said after the fight with Walker during the interview which he did not like at all. Having that illegal knee thrown towards Walker in their last fight made Dana White even more mad about Anakalaev's face value fighting in the UFC,

It was a very tense victory for Leverkusen to achieve, yes they had to wait until the 90+ minute to score a goal and ensure they could win this match.
I think this is just a matter of luck, because Augsburg also didn't play that well to be able to withstand every attack from Leverkusen, but it was very difficult for Leverkusen to score at least 1 goal to make them play more comfortably.
They could breathe a sigh of relief after they were able to score that goal, because if they failed to win, then Bayern Munich would be able to take advantage of the moment of unsatisfactory results achieved by Leverkusen.
Nothing has changed in the standings and also the distance between these two clubs, everything is the same as before with a difference of 4 points but Bayern Munich is 1 match ahead of Leverkusen.

I had a feeling Ankalaev was going to win quickly against Johnny Walker, and now I think his next match is going to be against Alex Pereira.
He improved a lot in last few years but I dont think he is on the same level with Pereira yet, so maybe Dana pairs him with winner of Prochazka vs Rakic first.
If we could see it fast enough it was like Johnny Walker was hesitating in his move even imitating the Capoeira move which is just a distraction but sure that move can easily be predicted by Magomed Ankalaev, for it was a desperate move for Johnny Walker and we can hear that his corner also said to him that he is doing well in the 1st round which is the opposite of what I have seen, it was really a cruel world for Johnny Walker he is the fan favorite and while doing those sick moves the crowd was shouting his name but because of that feint and technicality of the stand-up of Magomed Ankalaev, this was an easy feat for Ankalaev. It looked like he tried to copy his tactic from their first fight, but he overdid feints and Ankalaev started checking calf kicks, so Walker was out of ideas and decided to be at least entertaining and memorable.
That capoeira move had zero chances of landing, absolutely anyone could see it from a mile away. But at least it was funny.
It was not really meant for fighting that is, for me, it was purposedly like dancing rather than fighting, so yeah it was hilarious while doing it in an actual fight, maybe Johnny Walker was thinking that Ankalaev would laugh and might destroy his focus because of that moves, but Magomed Ankalaev remained focus that is why yeah it was really not that great but it was really funny seeing something like this and as we know Johnny Walker really wants to entertain everybody. Dana has not yet made an official statement as to who Ankalaev will fight in his next fight, but Ankalaev himself has stated that he really wants to fight Alex Pereira.
Ankalaev himself believes he can beat Pereira like he beat Johnny Walker but I think it still too early with confidence and self-confidence to be able to beat Pereira by KO and fight for the championship belt.
There has been no decision or approval from Dana regarding the challenge that Ankalaev has attached to Pereira because Pereira opponent was supposed to be Jamahal Hill but it had to be postponed because he was injured.
For sure the UFC may want to see another fight than the Ankalaev VS Pereira fight, that is for sure, but if the people want to see it that fight will surely push through, Alex Pereira will not evade anyone who wants to fight him, that is how Pereira is so for sure all we can do is wait for it to happen as Alex Pereira will not be moving into another division or return to the Middleweight because he needs a win in this division for the title defense. |

The co-main event was cancelled so we had Jim Miller fill in with his fight instead and that one didn't disappoint.
To the point where there is now talk for this grizzled veteran to take on another fighter who is currently working the mic as an announcer in Felder to be in UFC 300.
As his swan song just like what happened to Lawler about 6 months back when he retired from the sport and was given a good send off with that wicked KO win.

Yup!
