Bids at ATH over 11M
Yup. It's climbing quite fast. Asks are within the range they have been for the last 3 weeks as well. This rocket is so nicely fueled it ain't even funny. This is actually healthy. A little consolidation is good. It gives people time to adjust to the new high price. Yea if their were no asks then the price would go up, but it takes time for the people who want to sell at this price to make that market signal. Up or down? I don't know. I'm only sure that liquidity is increasing. That is healthy and should not be feared.

Yes there is a way to pay several people with one transaction with the satoshi client. When sending funds there is a button add address. This could cut fees by as much as 1/5 if you send bitcoins often.

We now will return you to your regularly scheduled rally.

I was just able to log in and Cancel a trade, but the lag on bitcoinity is now at 28 minutes.
I think there is a USTZ conspiracy to constantly harsh our mellow. When we broke $100 instawallet/bitcoin-central had to freak us out by making us think someone made ff with 40k BTC before telling us they still had it. Today MtGOX decides to just die. Growing pains, expect more on the way to $1T.

If the trend continues, in a year or so, having one "whole bitcoin" would be something to brag about, since it might be worth about $100k.
100k is crazy 10k tops. Maybe more like $3k Still there could be a fall or a stagnant period. Maybe only $200 by the end of the year. But I'll take that.

Regulation is definitely the strongest of the risks he cites. It's unpredictable how far governments can go.
It's funny that a reason not to buy a mildly regulated currency is that it might be regulated. And people will still say that regulation is good.

Holly arbitrage batman!!! The left is the price on the Chinese exchange. The right is the mtgox price. This rally is not over.

Er... I'm not good at math, how many percent has it gone up in two days again? 125-95 = 30 30/95 = .315 31.5 %

$1,330,000,000.00 $121.14 Kyrgyzstan $1,335,000,000.00 $121.60 Macedonia $1,416,000,000.00 $128.97 Chad
On our way. I'm checking the price as I type to make sure this is not out of date.

As if the recent price rise wasn't enough.
I would rather had a stable 10% price increase within a year from $40 in favor of the rollercoaster we are in right now. I don't like amusement parks, but this roller coaster I like.

I for one welcome our new currency overlords.

Good article, he got it totally right
Quite a change from a few years ago, but not I love his no nonsense take on the issue.

web 1.0 = passive web 2.0 = active web 3.0 = payments???
I don't think web 3.0 is a good word to be used with bitcoin, it really makes no sense.
It doesn't need to make sense. It's marketing.

The client does this to preserve privacy of the user.
If granny prefers the elegant simplicity (of looped-back change) to "privacy" at the cost of complexity (figuring out where her change is going), she will buy the former and the latter will rot on the shelf. Woah, quite an extreme there. How about Granny gets the former and I get the latter.

Then you have to concede that the price could go to $0 or to $1M in the next day. In fact the next second. If you use charts before you buy and sell, you are doing technical analysis.
I like your user name by the way. Of course the price could go to $0 or $1M in the next second. The chances are slim, but of course this is possible. A chart tells me what the price was in the past I don't know what's so technical about that. I think it is more likely that the BTC price will go above the green line and then below the red line before April 2014. Does your picture suggest this? No. That is my analysis, do you think it's technical?

Predicting the change of course is MUCH more valuable and interesting. If there is a "change in course" then your lines convey nothing about the future, and it is silly to think they convey something about the future.
