181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Crash, BitFinex Hacked on: August 03, 2016, 12:22:21 AM
I thought they had the majority of bitcoin in cold storage.  I also think its funny Coinbase is down for "maintenance"  Im sure two of the larger exchanges being down is not helping the value.

Is the drop today because of bitfinex getting hacked?  I also noticed coinbase if offline for supposedly maintenance.
183  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Does anyone point their miners at nicehash PPS? on: August 02, 2016, 08:06:14 PM
Its one machine. S7LN. I putty'd into it and changed the cgminer pool management settings. The other two pools in the settings are behaving as normal, exactly the same way as they have done when I mined on them on their own. Its only the nicehash server (sha256.eu.nicehash.com:3334#xnsub) that's the issue.

I have tried the above url without the #xnsub (which was suggested by the support email) and I get the same result.

Who knows what nicehash is redirecting your miners to mine.  That could be what it is.
184  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Does anyone point their miners at nicehash PPS? on: August 02, 2016, 06:33:37 PM
So im balancing my hashrate between two pools bitminter & nicehash pps. Bitminter has no issues as usual but the rejected shares on nicehash are 50%. Can anyone explain why?

What type of hardware are you using?

I'm only using an S7LN doing about 2.4th so not much as I'm only a home miner.

Not sure why.  Does it throw that at any other pool?  I do not remember my stuff ever doing that back when i was still figuring out mining.  If they are redirecting your miner to rent I know it can throw some crazy.
185  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BCMonster.com Mining Pool / [PPLNS Payout][Pays TxFee] on: August 02, 2016, 02:15:03 PM
Are there currently some problems with the pool and/or the Website?

First: I am not able to login using my mobile phone. I always get redirected to the login page where I have to input my credentials again (no error message shows up).
Second: The hashspeed of my machines are not reaching the pool. I got two 11.85TH/s S9 running and very often <10TH/s are hitting the pool (regarding the info from the BC-Monster dashboard). Same with my two A6's. The current hashspeed of my machines shown on the machine interface is often significantly higher than the hash speed  shown at the dashboard.

All machines are hosted at OregonMines and I also tested it with for example CK-Pool. Not the same issue there.

Best wishes

Shell (Merger)

To address this,  It just take a timestamp of your average over a specific period of time.   Depending on your shares during that time frame its up or down.  You should see as many times that you are above what your miner should do as below.

As far as the mobile site not working for you, i have no clue.  It works fine for me and no one has ever said anything to me about it not working on there phones.

I think bitcoin is more of a hobby to me.  There is not way I could gamble on making a living with it.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most Valuable Right Now? on: August 02, 2016, 01:16:49 PM
I'm holding on to as many of mine as possible right now.  Not sure where the price is going yet though.  Hopefully up!
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WORST decision about BTC on: August 02, 2016, 01:15:23 PM
Hi, all. I know that everyone here would have made some terrible decision about BTC. So I was wondering, what is the worst decision that you have ever made.

Personally, my worst decision was gambling 1.3 BTC in dice, just yesterday. Smiley

You either make $1000 or loose $1000.   Sounds like you lost.

Wow, nice job, congrats to the BCMonster crew!  Glad to see the little guys pulling in a block, especially on someone's native hardware, even cooler.  Cool

Thank Mike,

Round 9 1 BTC bonus was paid out as well as the payout for round 10 just went out.
191  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BCMonster.com Mining Pool / [PPLNS Payout][Pays TxFee] on: August 01, 2016, 11:59:16 AM
Good morning all, we have found our 10th block! From here on out, due to the reward halving, our block finders bonus will now be 1/2BTC to all donating a minimum of 1.0% to the pool.

We were due a couple good ones!
192  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BCMonster.com Mining Pool / [PPLNS Payout][Pays TxFee] on: July 31, 2016, 05:22:01 AM
That block was kind of a big deal considering it being our 9th block that it was only the second that was naturally occurring if you will.  (not facilitated by a big hash rental)

Its going to be more stable pay but a rash of good luck on a pool would pay more.

Luck and stable hash rate have a lot to do with it.   Kano is definitely one of the most most consistent pools.

199  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BCMonster.com Mining Pool / [PPLNS Payout][Pays TxFee] on: July 20, 2016, 06:37:05 AM
Congrats!  My miners are off for the summer but I still watch BCMonster and Johnny's thread to see how they are doing.  Good to see a block in one of them finally.

That one was definitely ruff for us.  Hope Johnny hits one soon also.  He is paying for that amazing luck run he had now.
