21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not fall for success stories of bitcoin investors on: June 02, 2024, 07:26:32 PM
I have seen new investors being carried out by seeing the success of big bitcoin investors. But , this is wrong approach in my opinion. Because, I personally feel that most of the people fail and they will never share their story. So, most of the stories that new guy searches , he will find only good success stories. But that is not correct overall picture. One should keep the limitations of crypto in mind as well. What is your opinion about this ?
You're right that the cryptocurrency space is often plagued by survivorship bias where only successful stories are shared creating a distorted view of reality. This can lead to unrealistic expectations and a lack of awareness about the potential risks and limitations. New investors need to have a balanced understanding of both, the possible benefits and drawbacks of investing in cryptocurrencies. They should research thoroughly beyond just success.

Secondly, stay up-to-date with market trends and developments. Diversify their investments to minimize risk. And lastly, be cautious of unrealistic promises or guaranteed returns. Your advice is invaluable, acknowledging the limitations and potential pitfalls new investors can make informed decisions and navigate the cryptocurrency landscape with greater wisdom.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fixed match or not? on: June 02, 2024, 05:21:54 PM
Well, it's suspicious, obviously, but there are certain things one should consider before concluding. If these matches are being recorded, and if there are casinos or sports betting platforms providing betting opportunities for these matches, then there is a high chance that the match was fixed, but if there is nothing of that nature, I don't see any reason behind fixing a match in an under-14 league where even the prize money for the winner wouldn't be very high. From the tally card, I am seeing there are two teams with same level of points which means they might have tried to fix this match for reputation reasons. This is just an assumption and nothing more.

Then again, if we look at some of the recent matches and the points table, there haven't been a lot of matches with this many goals, if many matches had the same results or all better teams were scoring a lot of goals against weaker opponents, this wouldn't have been considered odd at all, but that isn't the case here.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vegas Gambling Tips/Do's and Don'ts on: June 01, 2024, 06:28:05 PM
I haven't been there but I wish that I will go there someday but the best advice that I've heard about is that you should never get yourself get befriended by the locals because whatever they're doing to befriend you, they're most likely trying to hustle you, that's the only thing that I can think of when it comes to this kind of thing, another thing is the timesharing scammers there, don't give them the time of your day and they can take it up when you reject or ignore them, it's a scam that will waste your time in Vegas.
I don't really like judging people but I think I can give exception sometimes, especially on that place. Many people lose there and they are now finding ways on how to have a capital to go back playing again. I don't really get that Timesharing scammers you are telling but I guess they are like the ones who we talked about earlier, so the same measure we will apply and that is ignore every stranger we came across or trying to get our attention.

The only difference of Vegas is they are a gambling capital, so I think it feels incorrect when you say "make the most of his experience" because that sounds like he will need to spend more money playing gambling there which is definitely not recommended.

Also, I'm curious if Vegas has adopted bitcoin at all..if anyone knows?
I read somewhere that few casinos in Vegas got bitcoin ATM. Obviously gambling must be one of the highly contributed industry on adaption of bitcoin hence Vegas casinos must be having some favour for bitcoiners for sure.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are any of you guys are winning with probably fair games? on: June 01, 2024, 05:09:05 PM
I'm currently searching for probably fair games and how they work. Are you guys playing this? If so, which games do you recommend?

Probably fair games, do they depend solely and exclusively on luck or on skills too?
As long as you don't stop right after a loss, there will be a time that you will get lucky, except only if you are sticking on a scam casino of course. Provably fair games are normal in crypto because I think it is related with the blockchain. I don't have a deep knowledge about it but what I only know is that we can verify our results by pasting some values in a box, while if you mean about the games, then they are the same with other casino games where all you need to do is to place a bet, push that button and watch how the action goes in your screen.

Honestly provably fair games are not capable of bringing any changes in my gambling activities; I mean I am facing same kind of loses at the end of the day. Moreover, there are no specific games to start since the goal in gambling is only to enjoy but you can go on what you truly like the most. Good Luck Smiley.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can easily find 3 odds games on casinos but hard to find on sport on: May 31, 2024, 09:08:51 PM
I find that most addict people are those who claim to find a strategy or a way to beat the casino in a way they gamble daily chasing some profits that in reality doesn'texist. Whoever thinks this way you will find him struggling in an endless circule of addiction not aware that he is only losing to the casino. For your case thinking that sport betting is diffrent than other casino games, slots or live games. The reality sometimes is that betting in sports is way more addictive, because it is more fun when you are interested in sports, you won't enjoy watching your favorite sport without making a bet on it.

I see that gambling with all its forms are the same and should be taken responsibly, if you bet in sports most of the time then you should reconsider thoughts and take a step back, rather than saying it is better than casino games.
For me, I think it was the other gamblers or those who don't care at all (E.g. losing, strategy, or everything...). There are still who continue playing because they are mostly up and they believe it is because of the strategy that they are using but like you said, it's only a false belief. In other more popular terms I think it's called as fallacy and I think fallacy is the same as placebo.

A sports fan is different from a bettor, so there's truly people who can have fun watching a sport alone, then there's also who can go throughout the day by simply betting and not watching a sport even on the ones where they bet on. Sports betting is literally different from casino games and this is why each has its own set of customers, but indeed that whatever type or game was it, all must be taken moderately/responsibly.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A list of lucky casinos in crypto on: May 31, 2024, 08:25:02 PM
I'm curious if this kind of data will encourage gamblers to pick the top number one.
And don't you think casinos will allow users to hit the jackpot now and then so they rank up on the list of the luckiest casinos?
This will be hard to know and bias can also happen here. Winning the jackpot on a site doesn't mean that's the luckiest casinos.
Even if you will rank those casinos, how can we know it's reliable and can work with us too. Luck will always depend on the gambler's faith, if you are meant to win then it will happen on any site, just don't expect that much and you can be good. There's no list with this so far, though you can see a good list of lower house edge casinos.
For us, 'yes' it's the luckiest and others can only believe it is once they start winning too but I think it's still worth the try because who knows right? I still believe that some casinos are only soft and some are hard. If we think we are on that hard one, I don't even think we will stay longer there but we will keep looking for that soft one.

Maybe it's true that luck and faith are related but I think luck is not single and it can occur a couple of times. I don't think that if you are meant to win it will happen on any site because not all site are legit but even if it is, I still think there will be a special place for us. Jackpots are sacred and elusive, so yeah we should not mind it shall we? As we can only lose our minds thinking of it. If it will come, it will only come one day, we'll see Wink.

When it comes to list of lucky casinos, I think I saw one before. It's like written on some section of a gambling review site although yeah, they can be biased with this. On some gambling sites that I visit and play, they have a list of jackpot winners and they can also partially reveal their names but we aren't still sure if they are 100% real or not.

Earn as many 100x multipliers as you can on selected games to win your share of the $10,000 bounty 🤑

The more qualifying multipliers you earn, the bigger your prize will be 💥

https://stake.com/promotions/promotion/chaos-collector
This is quite fun, I feel like people will focus on gambling as much as they can for as many times as they can without caring about the amount because from what I see you didn't put a minimum amount, correct?

I checked the rules and it didn't said anything about putting a minimum amount, so whatever the minimum amount that the game allows me to gamble then that would be my minimum if that's the case. In which case there could be a lot of very rich people, who would just put it on automatic to keep on gambling and just leave the PC on, which will definitely allow everyone to have a different approach to it, and we should probably consider this as something that will get a lot better for them, whales almost always wins these but I will try.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make presale successfull ? on: May 30, 2024, 08:58:44 PM
The problem is that there are a lot of competitors out there, you are not the only one trying to make a project and that means you are going to end up facing a lot of other people who are making their own projects.

I personally believe that the best way to go would be just focusing on your own project while ignoring everyone else. If you do not have funds to start one, then first figure out how to get that, if you have zero to start, then you can't even make something that can be put on launchpad, you can't even get audit, so you need money, a capital, to start, at least a few thousand dollars if nothing else, to get all the audits and everything ready, and to be listed, then you need some more for marketing and building a great project as well.

If you do not do that and try to spend as little as possible, then you will not make a dime from it. This is a basic thumb rule of internet and fortunately applicable even for crypto space as well.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Summer Olympics 2024 on: May 30, 2024, 06:52:24 PM
It seems that everyone enjoys the track and field event as I also one of them. And it will be obvious that in the mens and womens, the 100 m, 200 m and the relays are going to be team USA vs Jamaica. There were Olympics that the Jamaican team really out muscled the USA in this event.

Definitely, boxing as well will be the sports that I'm going to watch.

And in the last Olympics, our country, The Philippines has won it's first Gold Medal last summer games (2020) and it's in weightlifting and so our very own Hidilyn Diaz will be defending his gold in Women's 55 kg.
If I'm not mistaken it composes of different sports right? I only like a few of them mostly the jumping and throwing ones but what I like the most are the extreme sports like Skateboarding.

Between Jamaica and US, I wouldn't wonder anymore on why Jamaica can win more in Track & Field events because their appearance tells it all. I'm not insulting them but I mean is they look exposed in the outside activities and this gives them an advantage. Boxing is an intense sport but I am not really a fan of it. For me, I can enjoy wrestling more, lol.

Congratulations by the way for your country and champ for bringing a pride and honour. I wish you guys a good luck.
30  Economy / Gambling / Re: Home win model feel free to join on: May 30, 2024, 06:03:23 PM
On sports betting sites it is quite common for winning players to be banned simply for that, for being winners. It is something that fortunately does not happen to winning poker players and I have talked about it in another thread but I think it is not enough to refer to this thread without further explanation to say that he is a scammer. In any case for me the scammers are the sports betting houses who I do not know how they are allowed to do this. To me it should be illegal to ban winning players from playing.
Yeah. I wouldn't call him a scammer easily, but the manner in which he is trying to sell his services isn't doing him any favours to be honest. Also, it's totally understandable why sportsbetting sites ban winning players.

They are businesses after all which is why their survival is their first priority. Sucks for the winners though, but it is what it is.
That is already his problem but despite of it, he is still here trying his luck. This is not the first service anyway that I see and for sure this isn't going to be the last as well. Maybe they only need a better presentation and they better post a solid proof in their thread, not that they will hide it.

Their shady approach has nothing to do on why a sports betting site ban players but the last thing that you said is the true reason for it. Maybe skilled bettors only came up with a service like this because this has no restrictions and they can earn unlimited amounts in here if they get lucky compared to when they bet. They will only get frustrated there.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Autonomous Car Racing on: May 29, 2024, 09:31:51 PM
I really did not know about this and someone who is madly in love with formula series, this one should be something that will peak my interest. I have watched the first video now, and I think it's quite clear that the situation is not improved yet, it's nowhere yet.

The idea is that eventually maybe cars will have an AI in it that could be better than human drivers, but right now the AI can't even put the track temp into play.

Most of the cars spun out at the same place, because that corner was hotter, and the more cars spin, the hotter it got, and worse for next cars up, no AI figured out that beforehand, a real driver would know and react accordingly and would have taken that corner slower than usual to fix the issue. Nothing that can't be solved, it just requires some time and to be fair some money and this could be quite entertaining.
32  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is the exclusive stake.com bonus promoted on some sites legit? on: May 29, 2024, 09:01:41 PM
Stake has this kind of bonus before during early launch. Right now Stake is the number 1 crypto casino that’s why they are focusing now other aspect of bonuses which will benefit the general customer rather that newly registered customers since they already have tons of players in contrary to the number of newly registered player.

Stake bonuses on weekly and monthly bonuses which is massive the higher your rank is compared to other casino that usually just offer the typical rakeback computation. Also Stake has weekly challenge and weekends promotion that rewards generously to participants.

Only new casino or low number of players still offer an exclusive bonus(welcome bonus) and some of big casino that still offer this bonus usually attached an extra hard requirements before you can clear the bonus.
I think there is actually a massive decline in Stake's weekly and monthly bonuses.
To simply have a high rank is not enough but it will still boils down to your wager amount for the specific period. Other casinos might offer rakeback alone but you should get them immediately, while in order to get a rakeback on Stake you will first need to reach the first VIP level which is bronze and it's not easy for a small player because the wager amount for this is $10k.

The only way to get a welcome bonus on Stake is to register via a gambling review site. Old or new casino, there must always be strings attached on their bonuses because if not, then that is going to be a disaster for them.
33  Economy / Speculation / Re: Every moments of bitcoin value is appreciable for investors on: May 29, 2024, 07:02:42 PM
Honestly long term holding is definitely something that gains a lot of people a lot of money. I have seen people get so much richer in bitcoin thanks to that, and sometimes alts do help with that as well, there isn't really anything shocking about alts, it's true that we end up seeing big improvements on that part as well. But at the same time, altcoin's future is not clear when bitcoin will be testing $80k or $80k or $100k levels. I mean most altcoins are going to down when bitcoin goes up.

The greatest thing we could do right now regards to bitcoin would be just keep buying as much as we can afford and keep hold of it. Selling for short term gain makes no sense, and selling because it went down in the short term is even more wild, we should keep buying and not really think about anything else. We need to keep it improving and we need to keep getting better results which long term holding allows us. By learning from the past, I am sure that more people will become long term holders which is the best thing for all in bitcoin ecosystem.
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: The attractiveness of Bitcoin among my friends on: May 29, 2024, 05:28:42 PM
I guess many of you guys here will hit on me that it was risk of me exposing my Bitcon investment to the public
It is no more a thing as long as your government has not not banned cryptocurrencies. Unlike a decade ago, now you can freely announce that you have bitcoin because now bitcoin is just another investment thing that you can have in your portfolio. In my country, now I am seeing every stock analysts started speaking about cryptos as part of their routine market analysis. Here, portfolio managers suggest to have bitcoin up to 10% of your total networth. It all means that mass adaption of cryptocurrencies is happening right now, so being a bitcoiner is no more an unique thing.

The growing number of crimes related to crypto can be a threat but it's all up to you if you live in a place where crimes are common.
Basic precautionary things are always recommended. In late 90's, ATM card holders were attacked in lonely streets and their cards were robbed. Such things are still happening but in less number compared to cyber attack and phishing. So, being careful in real life and online is always recommended and not just because of being a bitcoin (I agree that this is country specific and places where we live).
35  Economy / Gambling / Re: Wazamba & 22Bet.com refusing to pay on: May 28, 2024, 08:15:31 PM
The last chance is to cancel the withdrawal and repeat it. I don`t think that it will help, but i don`t think that there are some reasons, why the OP can`t get his money. And iif the OP has no problems with casinos - why he has chosen such two of them? Or if he has problems with casinos - may be we don`t know something?
Attempting to withdraw again will not work since the OP has an ongoing investigation on his account due to possible multiple account as stated on the OP. Both casino has some reason to hold OP money, either true or not it’s very hard to win against mediocre casino that doesn’t have representative here.
If it's true, obviously we can't do anything about it and we might even get accused for doing a violation but if not, we can only hope that our money will still be returned to us. There is still a chance even if we think they are very shady, as I've seen similar cases like this in the past.

It's really funny that they are still afraid that their reputation will get ruined when in fact it was already like that, so they just settle the damage that they have dealt mostly to the complainants on this forum. They know that Bitcointalk is the largest Bitcoin/cryptocurrency forum, so they are giving a respect to it, in the hopes that people are going to trust them but personally I will never turn back to them for any reason. I mean there are people who do change their mind on seeing some big freebies.

There are lots of options for us in this crypto space; so we never to continue on any shady places for any reasons. Once we get any red flag then we need to be cautious and must start switching to safe places to secure our funds.
36  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 28, 2024, 07:02:33 PM
I've already withdrawn my entire balance, and I think everyone here should too. This doesn't look good at all, at least until TheQuin comes back (which is really hopeless at this point). The website is showing signs of neglect, with the lottery list not being published, confirmation email delays, among other things.

For those having trouble being unable to withdraw because of the confirmation email, choose the default address in your profile. This won't require any confirmation or 2FA being enabled, and that's the option I went with.
I have done the same to be fair, about a week ago. Mind you, I am not here blaming freebitco.in with anything at all, I have never faced any issues at all and the website worked perfectly just as it should for me, I have never had any issues at all, and whatever I wanted to do, I ended up doing without facing any obstacles, so the website is still 100% perfect and working and awesome.

I only withdrawn because I was fearing a future impending doom, if nobody talks about the website and nobody cares, then I am sorry but why should I as a customer?

The bitcointalk PR account is here sometimes, and shares like lottery winners etc, whoever uses that account could contact either thequin or wetsuit and could ask them to come back and write just one thing, otherwise it makes no sense for me to keep going.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $1,200 stimulus check in 2020 = $12,392 in 2024 on: May 28, 2024, 04:04:42 PM
This is quite obvious, we weren't even at 20k back when the check thing at USA happened, which is why I would assume that having this type of appreciation isn't really shocking. Obviously this only happened in few nations, in my nation nobody gave "free money" to anyone, that really isn't really a concept we are aware of, USA talks about how they are not communist and quite capitalist instead, but they distributed free money to everyone which was a quite big shocker, in the end holding bitcoin would have helped of course.

Anyone bought bitcoin with their stimulus instead of groceries?
A lot of people who got that money, needed the money to begin with so they ended up just spending that money to survive, not invest, hence not many of them could afford investing that money to bitcoin. But, considering it was 2020 and not 2010 which means if you would have believed into bitcoin then might have chosen bitcoin for that fund.

You need to be disciplined with DCA, stack bitcoin ups every week, and now your investment is good with 109.73% up.
The growth % in DCA usually in lower side because you are buying even for the current month and including that for profit percentage calculation. I mean DCA is for different purposes like it is a solution for not having a big money at the beginning itself. So, never need to mind about growth percentage for DCA because sometime it may discourage you if you do not fully understand the percentage of appreciation while doing DCA.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why will the number of bitcoins[btc] in circulation be limited to 21 million ??? on: May 27, 2024, 06:03:43 PM
While there were of course some technical reasons, I am on belief that other numbers could have been found, like for example 21 trillion dollars, meaning one million each, could have been 2.1 million bitcoins to 10 million each, or 210 million, for 100k each, who cares. I believe that the real reason is that, it doesn't matter if it's 21 million, or 27 million or 4 million or 100 million, the idea is to make it limited, so you pick a number, maybe at random or maybe you pick something that has a meaning, but the point is to make it limited.

Because currently there is unlimited amount of money in the world, you may think that there is finite amount, but USA could print a trillion more tomorrow, it's unlimited, there is no stopping, so the idea was to make bitcoin unlike that.
39  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's starting to feel like 2008 all over again... on: May 27, 2024, 04:45:02 PM
Nope, I do not think so. The difference? Banks and investment firms are buying houses all around the world now, which means that they realized instead of giving interest to people to let them buy the house, they just decided to buy the houses themselves, and renovate, and rent them to make a good amount of income, and if they are ever in trouble, they can bulk sale these houses to anyone that has the money to buy it.

This is why I honestly think that the best way for banks to move on would be just keep doing what they are doing, otherwise that doesn't seem like a real issue. During 2008 the problem was that they leveraged their debt, people owed them money, and failed to pay it back, which is fine, but when you leverage that, it became a problem.
40  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - Previous vs Current Cycle on: May 27, 2024, 01:59:55 PM
Even though both of these are very different cycles however at some point of time, they collide and stay together for some time.
I really appreciate your idea of combining charts of last two cycles of bitcoin market. I am also a believer of history repeating itself and fortunately I enjoyed the 2017 bull run by expecting similar growth of 2013 and market surprised me with ~20x growth from previous ATH but when I was expecting similar thing in 2021, it was only ~3x growth (of 2017's ATH). But, comparing both bearish market and bullish market would be more interesting which is the thing I am getting from your chart.

Sept-Oct 2025 is the time when I think Bitcoin ATH will be in for this cycle. And if you have seen my previous charts, my Bitcoin Price Target is $172k which is nearly 145% from the current price.
I disagree here. Like I have mentioned before bitcoin is known for surprising us so you cannot speculate about timeframe of ATH and the level of ATH. Because ATH and its time will be fully influenced by market sentiment which is beyond any technical analysis. I am expecting another 10x growth from the 2021 ATH or least another 5x which means we may have some thing between 300k to 600k. At the same time some people here are confident about $1 million as well.
